Located near the old town, hotel Agua Azul is great for couples looking for an adults only all inclusive hotel. The hotel is a 10 minute walk to the beach and local shopping areas.
The hotel reception staff were very polite & helpful.
The rooms are spacious and air conditioned with a balcony. The amenities in the room were very good.
The restaurant had a good selection of food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There was plenty to choose from including some spanish dishes and a live cooking station.
The snack bar was open from 11am and offered some great food options like burgers, toasted sandwiches and pizzas.
The entertainment manager 'Paula' was fantastic and arranged some great activities during the daytime and performances at night.
The bar had a good selection of drinks however some higher end spirits and cocktails had a small surcharge. The staff on the bar were sometimes a little abrupt / rude at times which was a little disappointing.
The major disappointment at the hotel was the 8am queue for the sunbeds in the downstairs bar area.
As soon as the pool was opened there was a rush to reserve sunbeds using towels. As soon as the towels were placed they all went in for breakfast and didn't come out to the sunbeds for a good hour or two which was VERY annoying as there were notices around the pool saying that sunbeds could not be reserved and abandoned towels would be removed...
There were not enough sunbeds around the pool for the amount of guests so it was a problem...
Overall, our experience was very good and I would consider returning to the hotel again due to it's location.

Food average. Evening entertainment was okay. Rooms were nice but unusually set out.
The daily elbow fight for sunbeds is not managed at all by the hotel and can get very easy.
Maximum 7 nights is fine for here

Well run hotel, a five minute walk and you are in the centre of the old town.
Good rooms, great location and good service. Adults only, ( mainly 50+ age wise) which suits us. Very clean, well kept and well maintained.

Location is brilliant for the old town and 10-15 min walk to strip. Not as good as I was expecting. I understand the food is a very personnel thing, but this was not up to standard. No consistency with anything. Just different things put out every night, nothing seemed to go together. I was not the only person who thought this either. Several couples I spoke to said the same thing. But saying that the breakfast was very good, even if there was a LONG wait for the breakfast sausages.
The rooms themselves are quite modern, just not too sure about the blue glass screen between the bathroom and the bedroom. It is very easy to forget it's there in the middle of the night (totally unable to see it) when the light level is low.
The drink in the hotel are OK. Saying that it depends who serves you. Some staff mix the drink well, others don't seem to care. And service can be very slow.
The location is absolutely spot on for the old town and only a 10 min walk to the end of the strip.
I realise this is a adult only hotel but I wouldn't advise this hotel for any younger people. Both my wife and myself are 50 and we were probably the youngest there, apart from 1 family with 2 older kids.
I did enjoy my holiday at the Agua Azul, but I'm afraid I won't be returning. I much preferred the Prima Vera and the RH Victoria, both in 2 mins walk from here.

Nice clean hotel 😁
No sunbeds to be had it's a mad rush from 9am As people running and pushing you out of the way Disabled and slow walking people have No chance.
