Recently enjoyed a 6 night stay here. The facilties, the food, the staff, the whole experience was really first class.
An excellent selection of menu options with 4 on-site eateries; the food was first rate and with so much choice, never repetitive. The outdoor pools were large and never felt crowded, the splash park being particularly welcome for a 7 year old. The sauna, steam room and indoor pool were a bonus.
Daytime entertainment for children and adults was great fun and the kids club a real positive. The entire site was spotlessly clean and tidy.
The only criticisms would be a lack of seating for parents by the splash park, some benches would be welcome and the seating options by the main pools would be enhanced by some rattan sofas or chairs at the rear giving people an alternative to sunbeds.
The hotel is in a lovely location too, with 3 beaches with 10 minutes walking distance.
We will definately return.

Wonderful Stay with an Exceptional Culinary Experience
I had the pleasure of staying at Hotel 3HB Guarana and while everything from the room to the service was top-notch, the highlight of my visit was without a doubt the culinary experience.
From the very first evening, it was clear that the hotel takes great pride in its kitchen. The chef, Diogo Sequeira went above and beyond to make each meal special for us. Not only was the food beautifully presented and full of rich, balanced flavors, but the chef also took the time to personally guide us through the menu, since we had a different diet. He shared thoughtful recommendations based on our preferences and even offered to make some special desserts, so we also could enjoy the food. That level of care and passion is rare – and it truly made an impression.
It’s one thing to enjoy a good meal, but to be welcomed everyday and get to know which food is good for our diet etc. adds a whole new level of appreciation. We left each dinner not only full and satisfied, but also inspired and excited about the food we had tasted.
This kind of personalized attention is what sets a great hotel apart. If you’re a food lover or simply appreciate genuine hospitality, and looking for activities for the whole family and at the same time relax and enjoy holidays, I can’t recommend Hotel 3HB Guarana enough. The chef’s passion and expertise alone are worth the visit.

I stayed here with my family for 5 nights and absolutely loved it. It was made really memorable by the staff that work here , from the entertainment team, kitchen staff, maids , reception the list goes on.
It was like being looked after by a big happy family.
My only negative was the fact that the room AC is centrally controlled and one cannot adjust it to a preferred temperature, nor can the hotel staff set it individually. They do have fans in each room but these are something out of 1930s Morocco, the fan moved more than the air it circulated !

Everything about this hotel was fantastic. The service, the food, the atmosphere and the entertainment was all 10/10. I especially want to recommend the staff at the Mediterranean restaurant. The chefs Luis Brito and
Eugenio catered to our dietary needs and were so lovely in helping us. This is a great family hotel and for couples also and in the Portuguese this is the best destination.

Depressed writting this as we’re usually here around this time of year but swapped for the end of march for the longer, cheaper stay 😭 but honestly 10/10 the 3hb has my heart! My partner took us away for our first holiday and for my birthday in 2023 and we honestly fell in love with the place. From the staff, the amenities and all the locals we’ve got to know over the years it’s been amazing! 3rd year here and at this rate I could ever not come back year after year! The only complaint I have is them coffee machines are very temperamental 😂 most mornings it was giving us hot chocolate rather than coffee & also THE POOL TEMPERATURE haha now I know it is a warm country and people want to get in to cool down but Jesus weptttt that is the coldest pool I’ve ever stepped foot into defo think raising the temperature slightly would be perfect 🪄one thing I will say the entertainment team have really upped their game this year, we where belly laughing at it & it was also good to see management getting involved aswell. All in all if you’re looking for a beautiful hotel out of the way but still close enough and cheap enough to taxi in and out of the old town this is your place to be not to mention there is a lot of local bars and restaurants around the area aswell, Galleons being our fav. The staff go above and beyond, the hotel itself is spotless!! Cleaners be about from before 6am always cleaning somewhere , we opted in for a massage this year in the hotels spa as the weather was temperamental and the girls from the spa where lovely and accommodating. 3 restaurants and a sports bar in the hotel itself that always has an amazing spread of food and plenty to choose from, the snack bar is amazing! Has me addicted to cuttlefish something I would of never thought of trying to be fair, it opens to 11pm so there’s always something to eat and constantly being filed with fresh food.
Really couldn’t fault the place bar the two minor faults I have mentioned, apart from that we love the 3hb & the area ❤️ it feels like our second home & I really wish ya could rent a room for a while to temporarily move in 😂✨ I wish it allowed for videos to be uploaded to show the gegs at the entertainment , the ice berg moment near took me outrtttt 😂😂😂😂 miss everything about the place , see you all soon ❤️
