Really lovely place to stay. Apartments are big enough, clean, plenty of towels. Iron available from reception. Small gym, little bar by the pool. No noise after 7 pm as the bar closes, people tend to go into town or chill in the apartments etc. balconies with furniture and railing to try swimwear. Beach is basically at the door. Can highly recommend it to families and couples.

Stayed for a week here in April. What a fabulous find! The apartment exceeded our expectations, was very comfortable and had a fabulous sea view. It’s far enough away from the strip for it not be an issue and just a 2 minute walk down the hill to the beach. Yes, the pool may be a little small but never felt overcrowded and there’s plenty of loungers and more on the additional sun deck. The staff are fantastic and the place is absolutely spotless! Top marks to housekeeping! Plenty of bars and restaurants around the area and just a short taxi ride to the old town which is full of character. Definitely recommend staying here for self catering holidays. We will definitely return.

Just spent 10 nights here and enjoyed every minute. All of the staff and friendly and welcoming and happy to help you, they all work incredibly hard. The cleaning staff do an amazing job and keep everything wonderfully clean and fresh. Rooms are very, very comfortable and provide everything that you need for a relaxing break. The pool area is small but absolutely perfect and the pool bar staff work hard to keep you refreshed with drinks and bar food. Just a minutes walk to the lovely beach, a fantastic place to spend your holiday and will certainly visit again. Thank you to everyone at Golden Beach!

We stayed for six nights in a two bed apartment, No.44, and had booked via hotel homepage, which includes a discount, paid ca 1k altogether, daily rate app 170EUR which for me was a first paying that much for accommodation on holiday.
Overall, it was a pleasant stay, and I would consider returning. But I have a few remarks.
Pros:
- very clean and spacious apartments and well looked after by staff
- well equipped kitchen, lovely toiletries, big balcony
- general location: at a lovely beach within 2 minutes walk
- restaurants and shops close by (go to Mona Lisa Cafe f good coffee and breaky)
- far enough away from the strip (not our scene)
- staff are all fantastic, very friendly and knowledgable
- hotel provides free pool/ beach towels, which can be swapped every day (the latter is not a sustainable solution, and we kept ours for a week, but appreciated them being included)
- view from the balconies is nice enough, but if you want it less restricted, try a room higher up in a different block
- They extended our check out by 1hr which we really appreciated.
Remarks:
- our apartment, incl the balcony, faced the street that is very busy, especially with really noisy tuk tuks who take people up the hill. It is impossible to sit on the balcony throughout the day if you prefer a bit more peace and quiet. To be fair: Tuktuks leave around 10pm.
- The Italian Restaurant across the street blares Italian radio from morning till late at various volumes. If you dont hear well, you will enjoy the neon lights...(that are turned off by 11pm).
- Sofas in the apartment rather poor and not comfortable. Foamy padding wrapped in plastic and then in an overthrow. You can hear the plastic when you move - doesn't scream or feel high-quality.
- There is free on street parking around the hotel, but it can be tricky finding space at times. The hotel charges 15Eur PER DAY for their own carpark. This is ridiculous! Please rethink that amount. Wouldn't 5Eur per day suffice?
- Storage in the closets is limited. I dont travel with much, and it was fine, but might be difficult for others.
Can't speak for the pool, bar or gym, bc I didnt use either. If I were to return to 3HB, I would try to reserve a room in of the blocks further away of the street.

The location of this property is superb, you could virtually fall out the door on to the beach. There are pros and cons; first the pros - the staff are very pleasant and helpful. I feel for a three star hotel / apartment complex it at least lived up to its reputation. It is very centrally located with stores of all types although small, within a few minutes walk. It is at the tail end of a very lively group of bars and club’s predominantly frequented by Irish, French, Dutch and English. For such a heavily trafficked area by teenagers I saw no problems, fights etc. It seems as though the GNR (police) handle things very well. The beach area is quite small but not overly crowded. Everyone seemed quite polite. Recommend for families and teenagers as the whole area is quite lively until about 3:30 am. I stayed in the Marbello villa for a week while other family members took another four villas. The Marbello is a three bedroom place and very well equipped suitable for up to eight or as a base for others staying in the smaller villas. Plenty of room. Cleaning was pretty good.
Now the cons - they provided multiple access cards for the villas but one manual key to the Marbello! Antiquated and very inconvenient. We asked for more and were told they didn’t have any!! Crazy. The hot tub was an utter disaster. It was not cleaned unless you tormented the front desk (two emails and three visits). The heater on the hot tub was broken and worked intermittently (I know how to operate) and explained to the front desk. I had to ask to have all the bulbs outside replaced as they were out. The fan in one of the bathrooms also did not work and was not fixed. When paying $3,500 for a week stay, I shouldn’t really have to hunt down staff to get the basics right. Small little things would have made a big difference, and the hot tub needs to be completely replaced. The swimming pool (which I didn’t use) was congested and very cold, and all the chairs were reserved (and mostly unused) by the placement of towels first thing in the morning.
Would I recommend? Yes I would recommend the Marbello. I would probably also return (hoping the junk hot tub is replaced!). The ladies at the front desk were very pleasant.
