Planned to spend our anniversary at The Cove Rotana. Unfortunately the overall experience was not a good one. Location was good, however the rooms, service, friendliness of the staff was not up to the mark. Due to the rain, our room was filled with water. This was reported at around 8 am where we still had 6 more hrs of stay left, no action was taken to either help us change the room or resolve the issue. Cleaning staff was sent who was trying to his best to clean the mess, however he removed water from 1 balcony and it would re-enter from the other balcony door. While check out when this was informed as a feedback, the front desk just smiled and said OK. The front desk who are the face of any resort should be welcoming and full of enthusiasm which this hotel lacks. Buggy drivers were really hard working and deserve to be recognized. Staff is not trained at the restaurant as well to handle the public.

Great place village like resort. Service was great and smooth. Staff were friendly and warm. We stayed for two nights for my husband’s birthday. We did a lot of photoshoots with my enlarging baby bump. Two large pools were excellent! A memorable stay and would surely recommend and hope to come back with friends and family!

It was honestly a great experience. I have been to many resorts before, but this one was the best of all. Outstanding hospitality, amazing food with loads of varieties and awesome location. When we went for a stroll inside the resort, for a moment I felt as if I am roaming on the streets of Venice or somewhere similar. It's a beautiful place for a staycation, very calm and serene.
Highly recommended !!
I just request the resort authority to offer good affordable deals, so that more and more people could enjoy staying at this place.
I would definitely like visit again. Special thanks to all the staff members who use to work 24/7 to deliver the best.

Mediocre. The grounds are super nice and the staff at the bars and room service are super friendly. More "important staff" such as at reception or guest service were rather incompetent. Many air conditioning systems are mouldy. We had to look at three rooms until we got one that didn't smell mouldy. But only after we threatened to call the tour guide. You can't really get anywhere with friendliness, which is a real shame.
The food in the restaurant is unbelievably bad. The Indian food is ok but everything else is terrible. If you don't like Indian food or can't eat spicy food, you're in a bit of a pickle. We were even thinking to go out for dinner although we had all inclusive.
There are also a lot of stupid rules. French fries on the beach are not included in the All In (for whatever reason), you are not allowed to carry drinks from one pool to the other (for whatever reason), etc.

I recently had the opportunity to stay at a hotel located on top of a small hill in RAK, and I must say, the experience was quite remarkable. The hotel not only boasted a breathtaking view of the gulf sea, but its architecture design added a touch of elegance to the whole ambiance.
The check-in process was smooth and supportive, thanks to the assistance of Ahmed. He ensured that everything went seamlessly, leaving us with a positive first impression. We had the pleasure of staying in two villas, one with two bedrooms and the other with three bedrooms. The rooms were spacious, although the design was average.
Now, let's talk about the food. We opted for an all-inclusive stay, but unfortunately, the buffet in the main restaurant left a lot to be desired. The variety, taste, and quality of the food were quite disappointing. In fact, when we arrived for dinner, we even complained about the lack of availability. However, the manager, Karim, did his best to rectify the situation and make us happy. He was insistent on ensuring our satisfaction. Although his efforts were commendable, the overall buffet experience for lunch, and dinner felt more suited to a two-star hotel. Even the sandwiches and snacks offered throughout the day were subpar. So, if you consider yourself a food lover, this may not be the ideal place to stay.
Another aspect that left much to be desired was the buggy service. Due to the hotel's vast size and its location on a hill, guests often require a buggy to travel between the villas, pools, and main restaurant. Unfortunately, the service in this regard was quite poor.
If you are traveling with small children, you may be disappointed with the kids' play area. It can hardly be called a play area, as it only consists of a slide and swing. However, they do have some fantastic pool slides for teenagers and adults. So, if you're looking for activities specifically tailored to young kids, there may not be much to keep them entertained.
On the bright side, the pools in general were delightful. They were well-maintained, clean, and offered a spectacular view of the sea. Additionally, the beach was clean and inviting, although due to the weather, we were unable to swim. Nevertheless, we thoroughly enjoyed watching the waves crash against the shore.
Overall, our stay was below average, primarily because we are food lovers and were traveling with children. However, if you are a couple seeking to bask in the sun, enjoy the mesmerizing view, and take advantage of the variety of pools and beach, then this hotel might just be the perfect fit for you.
