Lovely smaller hotel set back from the beach with lovely views of the mountains it nestle between. Very nice pool but limited grounds as it is on the edge of the village which is quite steep leading to the mountain. Rooms are a little tired and small but everything works well, shower, AC, fridge etc.

I had gastroenteritis when I left and my friend ended up in the hospital with 'something'...that the doctors are still trying to figure out after 4 days of being home.
Food was atrocious....cold never hot. Broccoli, cauliflower and boiled/baked potatoes for breakfast. And ill never each another chip or grain of rice again! Bread however great...I lived on bread and honey.
Don't eat from BBQ as it's filthy! Mosques wailing a few times a day including 545AM....a stone's throw from the hotel. Mustafa who was on reception is a diamond....couldn't do enough for us.....as well as a great bloke doing the suitcases. Most of the staff are friendly enough.
Really no way as good as the brochure makes out.....read the reviews beforehand.
Our room even though was 'cleaned', the floors were filthy when we first arrived and wasn't cleaned all the week we were there. The towels...well my floor cloths are in better condition.
The worst thing to see apart from the BBQ, was the girl in the snack bar, continuously wiping sweat off her face, then continuing to cook and serve beefburgers, wearing the same plastic gloves.
The hotel location is great.....rooms are OK but not very clean, staff OK, but the food, as I said, is ATROCIOUS!!

Great 10 day break. Was a bit apprehensive after bad food reviews but we found plenty of choice and fab location. Only downside for us was could have had 2 people making the breakfast pancakes/omlettes to save a queue forming. Don't expect cocktails etc and you won't be disappointed.

Just got back from staying here for a week with my boyfriend, we were both sad to leave. The hotel is beautiful, our room was lovely and had air conditioning. The food mostly was fantastic, there was a few dishes that weren’t to our liking but there was lots to choose from. There was plenty of sun-beds which was perfect. The animation/entertainment team were lots of fun, we participated in all the activities, my boyfriend loved the water polo especially. The location of the hotel is perfect, would definitely come here again!

The stay at Alize, got progressively better however there’s lots to talk about
• Entertainment team:
I and my partner met the entertainment team who were very keen on persuading us to visit the club nearby. They target people who look young/ want to have a fun night out, which is understandable etc. It was brought to our attention that the 2 individuals in the entertainment team took advantage of 2 guests financially whereby their card was kept on tab, bottles were being bought and drinks were being distributed without the consent of the 2 guests. They were pressured to pay, and I can’t image the fear/ confusion they must have had being in a new country. The tab was close to £500. Later we found out the entertainment team have a deal with the clubs to bring people in from the local hotels. This was not the only occurrence during my 7-day, this happened again with 2 new arrives. The morals are poor and I’m glad I decided to stay back. Later during the week, there were inappropriate relations with the entertainment team and visitors, it’s unacceptable.
• Manager
There’s not a single issue to say here, he went above and beyond, he took our queries and improvements seriously and went out of his way to make sure improvements are made, especially with the food.
• The rooms
As a queer couple, it’s a shame people assume we’re friends and look for twin rooms. We were given a twin room even through our reservation said double. Our room was nice and we’re not fussy, I understand they thought they were doing us a favour especially in a non-western country ha-ha, but I guess don’t assume next time.
• Cleanliness
Wouldn’t say it was a 4 star.
Room locks were broken, door latch fell off the wall, dust under tables, fridge not working, and bugs on bed. Regardless, it was fine and livable, I’d say the rooms are a 3/2 star.
• Pool
Can’t complain, it was lovely, quality beach beds. Shame it’s not open later.
• Location
10 minutes from beach and all the tourist shops.
• Food
As a vegetarian, it wasn’t great, it did get better over the week as the staff attend to our needs, the earlier you go the better. A lot of random stuff. It’s okay. I’m not a fussy eater but need’s more veggie/ vegan options. Also hate how the omelets and pancakes are made in the same pan. Team is attentive, friendly and helpful.
• Drinks
The alcohol was very weak, didn’t get drunk once. Need to do better, especially with cocktails as you had to pay extra.
Overall, even though there are lots of points to improve, I would say they are very attentive and open to change. They really do try, and I would recommend this hotel as a place to stay short term as it was great value for money. Keep away from the entertainment team, they are friendly but do be careful.
