This is my fourth trip to Marbella, my first time in hotel Don Pepe Gran Meliá and it was incredible! I will definitely be back here. Every aspect of the hotel is spotlessly clean, the lobby, the rooms, the gym all kept to a perfect standard. The staff worked tirelessly to ensure we had an amazing stay. The pool concierge team and the pool staff from Bardot made every day we spent by the pool perfect. Although I can’t praise the staff throughout the hotel enough, everyone was friendly and helpful. We booked the red level and the lounge experience was great. Breakfast, snacks and drinks all available in a quiet lounge area. The hotel itself is a very easy short walk to old town. The grounds of the hotel are wonderful, a mix of green gardens and pool area, with easy access to the beach and promenade. I would highly recommend a stay here, the hotel, staff and overall experience were all exceptional!

We can’t praise this hotel enough, it has been exceptional from start to finish. The staff are clearly highly trained, with an incredible attention to detail and a genuine desire to make your stay perfect. From the warm welcome at reception (complete with a chilled glass of fizz after a long journey) to the flawless service at breakfast, the Red Floor, and by the pool, everything has been outstanding.
We’re currently staying on the 5th floor and have one evening left of what has been a truly memorable stay. This is, without a doubt, the best 5-star hotel we’ve stayed in for some time. Many claim to be 5-star, but this one truly delivers, from the reception team to housekeeping, turn-down service, and every touchpoint in between.
Highly recommended!

Set in it's own green oasis, this hotel exudes calm and relaxation - for the guests that is - the staff are very attentive, friendly and keep things ticking along seamlessly. The breakfasts were excellent (we didn't experience the dining restaurants) and the bar with the live music was a fun place for a nightcap. We loved looking out from our room, through the trees to the sea beyond. It's an easy stroll to the old town and all it's pretty, quirky streets. We hope to return to this lovely hotel sometime soon.

The hotel is beautiful and the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. Everyone is very friendly, the room was a little tired and lacking personality. The kids club was closed which was disappointing as my son really wanted to go to it and the children’s pool was also closed for maintenance. Our children couldn’t use the main pool as it was too cold. Frustrating when travelling with children to a hotel that pitched such great children’s facilities. Apart from that, breakfast was fantastic, restaurants all and good food options.

We loved our stay at Meliá Don Pepe Marbella! The hotel is beautifully designed, with well-decorated spaces and great areas to relax and enjoy.
Check-in was smooth at the Red Level lounge, where snacks and drinks were available throughout the day. We also received a welcome bottle of wine and some treats in our rooms, which was a lovely touch.
The rooms are spacious and comfortable, offering a beautiful ocean view. The bathroom was well-equipped, though the lighting and counter space could be improved. The room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable.
The service at the restaurant Erre was exceptional. The food was delicious—the meat was cooked perfectly, and the octopus was the best I’ve ever had. The buffet breakfast, which was included for us, was also very good. The ambiance and views were lovely, and the variety of food and service were excellent. However, on the weekend, breakfast for Red Level members was served at the Red Level lounge, and unfortunately, it was not a good experience for us. The staff seemed disorganized, and orders took a long time to arrive despite multiple reminders from our side—a completely different experience from the buffet. I really regretted switching that day, although the terrace did offer a beautiful view.
The hotel’s location is perfect for exploring Marbella and nearby cities like Málaga, Granada, Ronda, and Gibraltar.
The beach wasn’t ideal, as it had many rocks, and the water was extremely cold—though I imagine it would be more enjoyable in the summer. The pool area is very nice, but the water was also quite cold.
I couldn’t recommend this hotel enough—most of the staff were professional and friendly. I would love to stay there again. Thank you very much for making our stay so pleasant and memorable. We also loved the thoughtful presents you left in our rooms!
