Stayed here early May 2026. I emailed the hotel in advance to ask for ground floor rooms near the pool as we are 4 OAPS. Evita replied to my email straight away to advise they would do their best to accommodate my request, we also wanted to hire mobility scooters and Evita also arranged that for us. What a little star Evita is, nothing was too much trouble for her. The hotel is lovely 2 minute walk to the beach when the tide is out its a lovely walk to Cameo island and for 5€ you can go and have a photo taken, bit of a climb up steps for us able people not possible for people who struggle walking.
Food and drink at the hotel and at the snack bar is faultless all the staff are lovely and helpful. Spironola and her sister who extremely helpful. The theme nights were great especially the bbq night. Fridge in room was lovely as we could keep our drinks cool. Would definitely return plenty to do and see. Thank You Evita and staff xxx

We had a wonderful stay at the Zante Plaza. The staff were so friendly, helpful and accommodating. On arrival we missed dinner but we're given a bag with sandwiches and fruit.
The food on the all inclusive was always fresh, hot, tasty and varied. The drinks were really good lots of choice. Beer was good. Hot drinks available at all times. Snack bar offered drinks and lovely freshly cooked snacks. Ice cream always available too. Theme night each day for evening meal at pool bar restaurant or you can use the main restaurant also.
1min walk to the beach and 1 min to the strip. With a shop on site too. Entertainment was good. Mash up George was absolutely brilliant. Bar shuts at 11pm. Room was comfortable, beds were lovely if you like a harder mattress. Shower gel/shampoo and handsoap provided. Fridge in room. WiFi was free. You do pay for the safe and I believe air con but we didn't need this in may.
The towels were changed daily along with fresh sheets. The housekeeping was really good. The whole place was well maintained and clean. The pool was beautiful.
There wasnt any daytime entertainment not sure if this is all the time or because of the time of year we went.
The only negative was kettle in room didn't switch off once boiled and I burnt my finger but reception were good to ask if anything I needed first aid wise and replaced the kettle.
I would not hesitate to stay in this hotel again. We came for a girly trip just 2 of us for a 30th birthday and we had the best holiday!!!

Zante Plaza Hotel and Apartments is a three-star traditional Greek-style hotel offering an all-inclusive service. Our stay was in October at the end of the season, therefore the local strip of Laganas was most shut up for the winter.
The hotel is small but friendly; the reception area is used for dinner service, entertainment, and general seating. It felt very busy, and sometimes it was difficult to find a table. The hotel does have a separate snack bar area which served snacks during the day and a dinner service during the evening. Overall, the food selection and quality were good, offering theme nights and a buffet-style general service. The bar and dinner staff work hard to clear tables and are generally friendly and polite.
Our twin room was clean but somewhat tired; the rooms are in need of maintenance, but for a three-star Greek hotel, it was expected to be fair. If you want AC and the use of a safe, then you have to pay extra. Be warned, this hotel has plenty of steps and would be restrictive for guests with severe mobility issues.
Finally, the hotel has two pool areas, both clean with plenty of sunbeds. The snack bar is local to the largest pool, therefore drinks and snacks are easily accessible throughout the day.
In summary, this is a pleasant hotel offering value for money. I am not sure I would return to Laganas, but this was an enjoyable stay.

You know when you book a holiday it's never usually last minute and this was not either. I read the reviews at the time of booking and they seemed reasonable for the time of year we were going. I had seen some really bad ones and some really good ones and as usual you have to pick out what is best.
There were delays leaving the airport to the hotel so when we arrived there was no food available, but I don't think we would have made it anyway. They had provided some food for us since it was all finished. Two dry ham sausage and cheese sandwiches and two apples. They had no butter or mayo and were so dry it was better to dip them in a beer.
So not off to the best of starts.
There are multiple buildings, some with pools and some without, I had read this on previous reviews and was concerned we would end up in a building without a pool close by.
It turned out OK but need to check when you arrive.
The room was of good size with 3 single beds, fridge, kettle and clothes storage and good sized bathroom. Now at the beginning of our stay the cleaning was excellent but as we hit the end of the stay the cleaning became lax. We were in room 515 with stains on the blue covers, we did mention it but nothing happened. Perhaps the cleaning was less because we raised the issue, who knows! I did manage to see that the cleaning team had changed so I now know that first team were excellent and the second team no where near! We were early May so did not have to use the air conditioning which was €9 a day, the safety deposit box was €3 a day.
Now let's head to the food as we were all inclusive.
Breakfast was the same daily, breads, mushrooms, fried eggs, scrambled eggs, weird bacon we still can't identify which animal it was from, hot dogs, not sausage and eggy bread and beans. To be honest I just had beans on toast every day, it was guaranteed to be warm whereas the fried eggs and sausage didn't. Not a top breakfast and one day we needed a good full English breakfast and found one on the beach! Heaven!
Lunchtime I am still confused about as I have no idea what the food was that was trying to be paired up with and as such we ate in the snack bar every day. This had selections of burgers, hot dog, sandwiches, Greek or tuna salad and fries. All sorted by the fantastic Antonia and her sister Spirodola. By far the best staff I met in the whole resort, they were always trying to help and it was very much appreciated by everyone I saw.
Now dinner was the same, the themed nights in the snack bar started off great but not so good by the second week, the one time we tried the main buffet restaurant we were confused as Sprouts did not go with a beef and pineapple curry. Themed nights were much better.
Beer is minoa from crete, can be very gassy, white wine outranks the red. Lots of low alcohol cocktails and soft drinks.
There is no pool music outside the snack bar pool so you might want to consider bringing something to listen to. The water is not as cold as you think at the pool..... That's what everyone said!
So overall would say yes this is 3 star with a 3 out of 5.
We had a good time while here but just be aware of what you are purchasing before you hit pay!
