Kolymbia
The picturesque resort of Kolymbia, set amidst stunning mountains, is a quiet, lazy village, ideal for families and those looking for a peaceful haven away from the madding crowds. On Rhodes’ eastern coast, the Greek resort of Kolymbia centres its holidays on its stunning white sand beach and with low key amenities, a stress free environment is provided, perfect in which to relax. A long eucalyptus lined avenue leads into the resort and is lined with a few shops, restaurants and cafes providing you with all the holiday essentials you will need for your relaxing break.
There are two wonderful beaches to choose from on Kolymbia holidays. A white sand and shingle beach creates the main focus of attention and is ideal for sunbathing in the glow of the Mediterranean Sun or making the most of the warm, clement waters of the ocean. For a short walk, you can also find a secluded cove where the peace and tranquillity surrounded with natural beauty will instil a feeling of harmony and well being. Kolymbia also has good access to the beach at Tsampika, which is a stunning, sloping bay overlooked by an authentic monastery.

Absolutely fantastic 7 night stay here in September. Idyllic views, luxury feel to the hotel, rooms spacious, clean and modern.
We were given a tour of the resort upon arrival, staff were friendly.
Food was excellent.
The pool areas were spacious and very clean, I particularly liked the fact that the sun beds were spaced apart well, so it didn’t feel crowded.
The beach area was great, a very short walk from the hotel and the sun beds were very comfortable. Appreciated the ability to order from the pool or beach via the app, although ordering from the beach included an additional charge.
One of the few hotels I would come back to!

I recently stayed at Port Royal Rhodes in Greece with my girlfriend, and our experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we could feel it was a premium, adults-only hotel that truly delivers on the promise of luxury and relaxation.
Our room was extremely spacious, featuring a very comfortable bed and excellent amenities that made our stay even more enjoyable. The service throughout the hotel was outstanding – attentive, professional, and always with a warm touch that made us feel welcome.
The quality of both the restaurants and the drinks exceeded our expectations. Every meal felt like a carefully crafted experience, and we were impressed by the freshness and variety on offer. We also loved the special experiences available at the resort, such as the floating breakfast, a lovely beachside lunch, and an incredibly romantic dinner by the pool – perfect for couples looking to create lasting memories.
The private beach was another highlight, offering great conditions to relax by the sea, while the heated pool was absolutely stunning, both visually and in terms of comfort. The entire atmosphere of the hotel is calm, elegant, and ideal for those who want to unwind in style.
One of the best hotels we have ever stayed 🥰

Fabulous holiday. The hotel was spotless and the gardens were beautiful. Loved the relaxing water features running through the grounds. Delightful sea view room and the hotel sat sympathetically with the landscape. Buffet style meals were tasty and very varied. All staff were very pleasant and helpful. Calm and tranquil holiday. The beach was a let down but this is a volcanic island! We hope to return 😁

Port Royal in Rhodes is the perfect destination for a premium, adults-only, all-inclusive getaway.
Our room was incredibly spacious, with a very comfortable bed and excellent amenities — everything you’d expect from a true 5-star experience.
The service throughout the resort was consistently high-quality: professional, friendly, and always attentive.
Both the food and drinks across all the restaurants and bars were of impressive quality — fresh ingredients, great variety, and well-presented dishes.
We especially enjoyed the special experiences offered by the hotel, like the floating breakfast, beachfront lunch, and a romantic dinner by the pool — all beautifully organized and memorable.
The private beach is clean, well-equipped, and ideal for relaxing. The main pool is stunning, with heated water and plenty of space to unwind.
The overall vibe of the resort is peaceful and luxurious — perfect for couples looking to relax and recharge.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for a high-end, stress-free holiday in Greece!

The facilities were outstanding – the pool area was luxurious, the spa relaxing, and the restaurant offered delicious meals with excellent service. I especially appreciated the attention to detail and the genuine hospitality of everyone working there.
Overall, this hotel exceeded all my expectations. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a truly unforgettable 5-star experience. I can’t wait to come back!

This hotel should not be classed as anything more than three stars, at best. Really disappointing. The staff are rude, the rooms are terrible and the food is even worse. The whole place smells like sewage. Nearby town is a ghostown. The only thing missing are tumbleweeds rolling in the wind like a bad western. Stay away!

My boyfriend and I stayed at Lydia Maris Resort & Spa for 10 nights in October 2025. We had the most amazing stay - we were even able to upgrade our room to a swim up! The hotel itself is gorgeous but what made it even better was the amazing staff. In particular, Maria at reception who was able to assist with any queries, and Juliano at the pool bar who was incredibly friendly and chatty - he made our experience at the hotel one to remember!

Overall had a lovely time. I was pleasantly surprised with my room allocation and took full advantage of the private sun terrace and swimming pool. The rooms are clean and comfortable, downside is there is only 2 English tv channel (bbc news and sky news) which if you have a bad weather day, which we did, can get rather boring. However, you don't come on holiday to watch the TV do you?? The food was OK, the temperature of it at times was questionable but even as a I am a fussy eater there was always a decent choice. The staff were friendly and welcoming and always said hello. Really enjoyed my week here.

We stayed here for 6 nights last summer, the food and all inclusive was very good especially the pizza bar. The animators and evening entertainment were the best out of any hotel that we went to!

First thing to say is that this is definitely NOT a five star hotel - its a decent 3 star hotel. It's an important point because the star rating is what Greece uses to base its additional room tax on so instead of paying around 50Euros (3 star) for a room for a week on top of your holiday price, you actually pay 105Euros.
Having got this out of the way, having just returned from the hotel for a week with a large family presence, we all had a great time. Brief comments on the following:-
Food - Perfectly OK but not great (where the hell do they get such awful bacon and sausages from) but always something to eat whatever your taste.
Rooms - Quite good, very clean and a good shower. Cleaned to a good standard daily.
Drinks - Lager is awful. Wine is OK. Local spirits not good but they rarely are anywhere.
Pool - A funny greenish colour for first few days but it seemed to clear. Some of the railings leading into the pool need urgent attention. They really need to review their glasses around the pool policy too. Regular depth throughout.
Entertainment - This is where the Hotel scores highly. The team of Mike, Gustavo and Evelina are superb and we all loved them.
Other Staff - Not awful by a long stretch but not great either.
Location - Pretty good - there are a couple of good beaches within a ten minute walk and nowhere near as stony as I had
expected.
I hope these honest comments help and do not put anyone off from going to the hotel - just don't expect a five start experience.

Stayed here in June for a week and can’t fault the stay.
From when we arrived service was top class. We booked room with own pool and it was amazing. Pool and surrounding area was clean and sun beds were very comfortable.
Our room could have done with some minor upgrades but nothing to complain about. Every day you could have your room cleaned or not, just needed to adjust the digital screen for outside to alert the cleaner.
Food was fantastic, great selection for breakfast lunch and dinner. Staff at each serving were very helpful and always stopped to chat.
Dinner in the adjoining a la carte restaurant for one night was as good as any top restaurant you would go too. In particular the Rose wine was a favorite.
Will definitely be back to stay again and can’t wait to see how much more they have improved on.
Highly recommended a stay here.

Fantastic place with a wonderful view! The rooms are modern and clean - the staff constantly strives to make guests feel comfortable and well. The food is very good, the area is quite peaceful, so it's worth considering. I recommend it!

⭐☆☆☆☆ 1/5 – Very disappointing experience despite polite staff
We stayed at Paralos Rodos Lifestyle in October 2025, and unfortunately our experience was far from what we expected. Our flight was already delayed by three hours, so we arrived at the hotel around 4am, tired and hoping to rest. The receptionist was polite and a staff member kindly escorted us to our room, but things went downhill from there.
We had booked and paid extra (£132 per person) for a private pool room, but the first room we were given (Room 119) was in very poor condition — mould in the bathroom, exposed wires, broken switches and chairs, and a pool that looked nothing like the pictures online. When we raised our concerns, we were told we had to wait until 10am for the manager to arrive. We didn’t even unpack or sleep in the bed that night.
Over the course of our stay, we were moved four times — first from Room 119 to Room 430 (which had a terrible sewage smell coming from a drain inside the room) - the cleaners definitely knew of the bad smell as my partner covered the drain with a towel and twice after the room being cleaned the towel did not move !!!! Then we were moved to Room 221 (which was clean and modern, but did not have the private pool we had paid for), and we were able to stay in room 104 for ONE night, due to “being fully booked” which did have a swim-up pool, still not a private pool room. Unfortunately, one night in a room with a pool doesn’t make up for six nights without the correct experience we paid for.
Throughout our stay, we were in constant contact with Jet2, who also tried to liaise with the hotel to resolve the issue. Despite their efforts, we never received the room we booked for the duration of our holiday. We felt as though the management kept moving us around just to keep us quiet until our departure.
While some staff were polite and tried their best, the overall handling of our situation was extremely disappointing. We never even felt settled enough to unpack our suitcases. Sadly, we would not return to this hotel and would not recommend it to others expecting the level of quality shown in the photos or described in the booking details. We have been to a few places over the last few years and have NEVER been treated like this. Very disappointed and truly unsatisfied by this hotel and how they approach complaints.

Hotel directly on a pebble beach, with clean and cozy rooms featuring a balcony. Very pleasant and helpful staff. The all-inclusive food was delicious, varied daily, and there was something for everyone. The hotel is not large, which we appreciated – we don’t like overcrowded mega resorts. Beach loungers were free of charge. From my perspective, there was nothing to complain about.

The hotel has been recently renovated. Overall, we had a good stay!
Highs:
- We had a room with a pool looking out to sea which served us great to the point where there was no real need for us to even use the main pool.
- Reception and cleaning staff very friendly and helpful.
- Grounds of the hotel were nice and clean
- Nearby to stores, bars and restaurant (all within about a 5-10 min walk).
-Beach below offers a range of watersports
Improvements:
- If this hotel was 3 star, I would have given my experience 5 stars! BUT, for a 4 star hotel, it just fell a little short in some areas.
- Food is a little repetitive and basic.
- Evening entertainment was typically just people standing and singing. It needed some lights, a stage, props or something!
- The hotel team could do with a pumped up and energetic entertainment team. We only saw one guy who led the water Aerobics and he barely interacted with any hotel guests outside of that and just kept himself to himself most of the time.

The most perfect idyllic hotel we have ever stayed at. A location with a stunning backdrop of mountains with peace and tranquility in abundance. Time really just seems to stand still. Breakfast is served by the edge of the main pool and it is excellent. It has an amazing variety and is such a high standard and incredibly the chefs change the menu daily to a great extent. The quality of the staff and their standard of politeness and friendliness is just so heartwarming and genuine. The beach is 10 minutes away we went on trips to Rhodes town and Lindos by bus which I really recommend….. both were wonderful day adventures. We never ever return to the same destination but such was the standard and magical ambiance that we really are considering returning in the future…

We stayed during the last week of opening at the end of October which meant that it was quiet and relaxed. The location is beautiful by the mountains and a short walk to a pretty little beach. The room was pretty average but I loved the pool outside the door. The Olive Bar just outside was friendly and welcoming with a well stocked food selection and drinks ranging from coffee to cocktails. The staff were all great, apart from the maid who locked us out of our room at 11 even though we'd arranged for a late checkout, but that was easily solved. As other people have said, the breakfasts were fantastic with everything you could wish for and great quality too. We had a really lovely time. Take a travel kettle and sort out your own in room refreshments as unfortunately there aren't any.

We’ve just returned from a wonderful week at Casa Cook. This is one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at. The hotel itself is truly beautiful and relaxing but it’s the team and service that make it so special. Nothing is too much trouble and they go above and beyond to make your holiday everything it should be. The food is also fantastic. Everything cooked to perfection and the standard is the same whether you’re ordering from room service or one of the two restaurants. The rooms are also lovely and clean, with service daily. If you get chance, the spa is also lovely with the hot stone massage by Kimberley a real treat. We also want to mention the service we received from Ioannis. He served us at breakfast and dinner and he was so warm and friendly. Always remembering what we liked and made our trip such a pleasure. Thank you to all the team at Casa Cook for a wonderful holiday. We look forward to returning again next year.

We had a great time overall – the hotel is lovely, with a beautiful view and excellent facilities. Breakfast was rich, varied, and very enjoyable.
However, there were some downsides. There was no coffee or tea station in the room, and unfortunately, our room had a noticeable mold smell and quite a few ants. When we shared this feedback with the front desk upon leaving, it seemed they were not interested in addressing it or improving for the future.
Additionally, the jacuzzi and heated pool came at an extra charge and were not available during our stay, which was disappointing.
Julia Webb
We had a wonderful time here, the rooms and surroundings are stunning and all the food served was of such a high standard. The Vegan menu was great for when the dinner options were meat.
We also loved our private yoga sessions with Valeria, she was so lovely and tailored the yoga to our needs, would recommend!
We had an issue where we'd booked a yoga package which reception told us we hadn't booked, so we missed a couple of days of the classes we'd paid for. They were apologetic but we didn't get any refund.
Things to see and do on Kolymbia Holidays
The beaches are the place to be during holidays to Kolymbia and with the long hours of daily radiant sunshine you will have plenty of time to make the most of them. For sun seekers, there are plenty of places to spread out your towel or grab a sun lounger and relax while you soak up the glowing rays. If you tire of lounging, there are a host of water sports to choose from such as jet skiing, wind surfing and snorkelling. You can also spend a pleasant afternoon strolling the coastline in search of hidden bays and coves.
Nearby is the natural attraction of ‘epta piges’ or seven springs. This is a deep, beautiful gorge, hidden in lush woodland with a central lake, complete with its namesake of seven natural, bubbling springs. Kolymbia is also ideally placed to explore other resorts and attractions on the eastern coast of the island. The fishing resort of Afandou is great for restaurants specialising in fresh seafood and with Rhodes town for shopping and Faliraki for a hedonistic nightlife. Kolymbia holidays can be as relaxed or as action packed as you choose, and Kolymbia’s proximity to other local resorts and attractions make it the perfect place for a sunshine getaway.
