When we booked this holiday we were concerned about 3 stars, but we were pleasantly surprised. Rooms were basic, but clean and were cleaned every day. The food was very good, surprising variety and very fresh. A very good location, close to the beach and Faliraki city centre. Entertainment girls were doing their best! It was a break dance show one night and 3 beautiful singers another night. A small playground for children is also available. Lifts for prams and a room for chilling and playing snooker is also available. Before the trip, I read the reviews and was very concerned. But can reassure you the hotel is renewed and can even claim for 4 stars. Thank you to all the staff and special thanks to Nicos and Alex! Maria and Tomas

It was a nice hotel, staff were friendly and helpful, rooms weren't the greatest, but for somewhere to rest your head it was fine, no kettle or cups in rooms. Food wasn't great either but there was something for everyone.

A nice hotel that could be so much better. The restaurant served ok food but the variety wasn't there and the salads were poor. The all inclusive did not include drinking water, which is bizarre. Our room was awful but they agreed to move us to one that was a bit better but not great. Overall 3 stars.

IT was a very nice stay the staff were great especially the bartenders and the hotel reps and the guy at reception. We enjoyed the pool drinks and activities there were to offer what I would say though is lunch is not great but breakfast and the evening meal were great along with the snacks on offer I would highly recommend this hotel it’s perfect for family Freida and couples I can’t wait to visit again soon hope this review helps and enjoy your stay.

Our first room was well below of what I expected and it was not as advertised by tui which was disappointing, however, by we were offered an upgrade to a room with a pool view and this was much better, rooms are cleaned daily and fresh towels given. The food was good but as with most all inclusive i got sick of it by the end of the 10 day period. Staff are all great and polite and the animation team were spot on and were very polite. They have various entertainment nights which is good, greek night was great. The hotel is about 15 minute walk into faliraki and a 5 minute walk to the beach. We went to Rhodes and lindos using the local bus service which was fine and much cheaper than the bus or pre booked tour, don't believe it when reps etc tell you the bus service is unreliable, they have ticket offices at the main stops at Rhodes old town and lindos who are great and help you with the bus tickets etc. All in all a great holiday but ensure that if you book you get a decent room as this was only major moan.

We stayed for a week, enjoyed an excellent all inclusive service and were positively surprised about the quality of the service and the food compared to the general opinion in online reviews. The customer service is outstanding. The food had something for everyone with great variability from one meal to the next. The ambient is lively and child friendly, and in spite of the unlimited serving of alcohol, we did not witness anything unpleasant. All in all we found this hotel to be amazing value for money and we will consider going back when staying in the area. Pros and Cons below.

Well... this isn't a good hotel. The staff on reception are ok, except for needing to email them my entire booking on arrival. I've stayed all over the world and never had to do that. The service at the bar is as awful as it could possibly be. They stare at you until you order. Don't say anything, just pass the drinks. In tiny plastic cups. Only 1 (poor) beer on draught as the other has been out the entire week. The food... ok, so no hot plates for hot food. No cool plates for cool food. Breading ground for bacteria to multiply. We paid extra for a superior room. We got 501b and it is anything but superior. Leaking ceilings in the washroom. Which we reported on day 1 was still the same on our last night. We are opposite the bar and pool and every single night it's karaoke until 11. The doors are not sound proof. There are gaps in the windows. See the photos. Curtains in room are not blackout so every bit of light comes through. Pools are littered with plastic cups in the pool. Staff don't care. They are like robots. Malfunctioning robots. Water you must pay for. The only good thing is the supermarket across the street, it's reasonably priced and good service. I would struggle to award them 1 star let alone 3. Last night tonight (thank god) And as a TUI rep, I will actively tell people to stay away from this place. It's just awful, don't do it to yourself or your family.

Food on the all inclusive was a very limited selection, not suitable for fussy eaters. There was no entertainment at the hotel apart from music playing through the speakers. Rooms were very clean and modern.

We were put into this hotel not by choice but because ours was closed unexpectedly. We mostly enjoyed the stay here. The food was ok some meals better than others. Drinks were way too sweet. Bed was unbearable I couldn’t sleep on it so slept on a single. Too hard and bouncy like a trampoline every time my partner moved it woke me up. The staff were all helpful and friendly. Cleaned the room daily. Pool was ok. Very busy so lucky if you got a lounger. Some loungers comfy some hard and uncomfortable. It’s a bit of a trek to the beach and main town. We probably wouldn’t stay again. as a couple I felt the hotel was aimed at families and too many kids dominating the pools but it was ok.

For the money we paid, this was absolutely fine. Rooms were big and clean, cleaned daily which was great. Food, some dinners we found ok, breakfast not great and they serve chips every meal. Drinks were awful, cheapest booze and sickly sweet. Beer was flat. We ate out a few times and needed too for a decent drink. Be warned this place is really noisy, people shouting and kids screaming all up and down the corridors right outside the door, cleaners banging about very early. We could never get a decent sleep the whole week. A stag party was next door to us and we felt they were in the room with us, kept us up for a few nights. People put towels down which is a real issue for me, towels should be removed! Entertainment was absolutely dire at nights, even charged us 10 euros for 3 bingo cards. Staff were friendly though I would personally stay somewhere else if I returned, but we got a bargain deal so we got what we paid for

Good size hotel rooms with kitchen facilities, close to a restaurant, 15 minutes to town only. I wouldn't recommend breakfasts there as long as you expect some more than toasts only. Very quiet area so great choice if you're looking for some rest. From some of the rooms also a great view. Very friendly staff members.

My friends & I have just returned from a one week stay here. We loved it . The accommodation was clean & spacious. The staff were very kind friendly & welcoming. The apartment complex is family run & has a lovely homey feel. Located approximately ten minutes from falarki centre , we walked in the first morning but got taxis every other time. The apartments are overlooking falarki with stunning views through the trees! We went to the beach most days. We got a very kind taxi driver a few times who is a friend of the staff who own the apartments. He was most accommodating & friendly. We regretted not requesting him more frequently as some taxis over charged us. Will definitely return!

Have just returned from an 8 day stay and would recommend to anyone. Our room was cleaned 3 times during the stay and the facilities are more than adequate. The bar has a great selection of drinks that are very reasonably priced. The food although basic is tasty and again very well priced. The pool is clean and well maintained and we never struggled for a sun lounger. The walk up to the hotel is steep but we had a hire car so no issue. It is nice to be away from the hassle and bustle of the resorts but only a 2 minute drive to faliriki. The view is also brilliant from the hotel. Special mention to Ben the barman. A pleasure to meet and always a laugh. Thanks for a great stay

The cleaners are thiefs, they stole £600 worth of aftershave from the room. Asked reception to fix the balcony light also as it was not working on the first day. Still not fixed and its day 5. Will never be back and would not recommend unless you want robbed love from scotland! (Also doesn't deserve 1 star)

Can’t believe this hotel has any bad reviews atall. The entire staff team are one big family and were so nice and helpful and welcoming. They often gave us free lifts and advice. We stayed here for a week in May. It was a lovely hotel, family run and attention to detail. The staff are super friendly and helpful. There is a free mini bus that runs at 11am, 1pm & 5pm to get you into Faliraki Beach which was super helpful as you can also get a bus into Old Town Rhodes from the beach side. The food in the hotel is made by the staff for you to eat around/near the pool and is home cooked with love. The rooms are quite spacious, beds are super comfy too. When going to the pool the hotel staff provide clean towels to use whilst in the pool & then a basket for you to put your dirty towel into when you’re finished. They’re freshly washed for every day. Not to mention the cocktails are INCREDIBLE. I like a pina colada myself and it was made perfectly every time and was only €9 which is the average price for a cocktail here in Rhodes. All in all, the hotel is super quiet and chill, perfect holiday hotel away from noisey kids. We’ve loved it here. Thank you to the staff at Hillside. Kaci & Harry

Love this place! Staff is so nice and helps with everything you need at any hour. Food is great and freshly cooked at poolside restaurant, thursdays is Greek night&bbq. Location is perfect, couple km from the center&beach, hotel shuttle does 3 trips/day both ways. Nice view with some peace&quiet to enjoy. Surrounded with olive, fig and orange trees! Rooms are clean and neat, some have their own kitchen. Hotel has mini-market 24/7. Bigger market is within walking distance.

Our second time at hillside. Honestly could not recommend this place enough! Came with our 4 year old daughter in September and she absolutely had the best holiday. Rooms, food, service, staff we could not fault. The most friendliest people! (Lydia made us feel so welcome every morning at breakfast and looked after us all day by the pool) The place its self is just perfect. We would love to come back next year! (Also if you go make sure you book Greek night. One of the best nights)

Perfect for a nice cheap getaway to destress. Food selection was lovely and all very well cooked. Staff were very friendly and is in a lovely location. Would recommend going to the beach to sunbathe for the incredible view if you aren’t too fussed about using the pool bar during the day

This is my very first holiday abroad, the hotel is beautiful, rooms cleaned everyday, they are angels in this heat too, had bit of hiccup first couple days as wasn't given AC remote so had no air conditioning in my room until I asked at reception and it was sorted immediately. 3* hotel personally it should be higher, food is great and plenty of choice. 10 put of 10 on all the services. Will definitely be coming back think this is my favourite part of the world. I had a Seaview room and it's just simply beautiful.

Great hotel fantastic location. Sea is about 20 meters away. Beautiful views and stunning sunsets. Reception- Xenofon absolutely 100% credit to hotel. Helpful friendly goes extra mile to accommodate the guests. Speaks several languages such as Greek Russian English. It was pleasure to meet such a nice guy. Reception- Jota very friendly always smile. Helpful as well. Housekeeping- Olena lovely hard working girl kept my room pristine. Restaurant - Jana absolute treasure. Helpful nothing is a problem for her. She speaks Slovak Czech English Greek which is not in many hotels. She also works at bar by the pool. Always smile always have a chat 100% credit to the hotel. Bar - Astrid such a lovely guy communicative friendly always smile also speaks several languages English Greek Albanian Polish Kitchen- Yannis is amazing chef ! Great food always smiling real pleasure to meet him also Giorgos great cook was great to meet the guys who put hard work to make very tasty food. The variety of food was excellent. Owners are lovely family and it was great to meet them 😊 Will definitely go back.

this was the best hotel i’ve stayed at so far. we originally had a room with a garden view, but they gave us a free upgrade to a room with a sea and pool view. they offered an incredibly good and high-quality breakfast for just 7 euros. drinks at the pool bar were very cheap and the food was also unbelievably affordable — we paid only 18€ for one bolognese spaghetti, chef’s salad, a large plate of fries, tzatziki with pita, a coke and water. the same menu in rhodes center would cost 40-50€. the pool had great music playing and you could use the pool freely, there was even a lifeguard waiting by the pool. the staff at reception, breakfast, and the pool bar were all very kind and always helpful. also, room prices were incredibly reasonable compared to other hotels in the same area. the bus to rhodes center passes very close by. i definitely recommend it.

Owners literally would do anything for you. Once missed the bus to Rhodes old town, walked back to Rhodian Sun, they asked why we were back, said we’d missed the bus. Owner said “allow me 10 minutes, and I will take you to Rhodes town”. We went the scenic route in his car, wouldn’t have seen the little villages if we’d gone in the bus. Lovely people. Mid 1990s, I hope they are still there and enjoying success.

This is a 3 star hotel but with 5 star service. This is a family run hotel and wow the staff are so helpful and friendly. They have a bus that they drop and collect to the beach daily. We went half board and the food was absolutely amazing. The Greek night is highly recommended. I loved it. The rooms are basic but are made up with sheets and fresh towels daily. It is a bit out from Rhodes but it has everything you need to help to have an amazing, relaxing holiday. There also is information in reception to organise day trips to other parts of the island if you want to pay for this. I definitely will return

The friendliness and the kindness of the staff were amazing! We stayed for one night, clean hotel, the breakfast could be a little better maybe ,not many options but the coffee was excellent....the greenery all around the hotel is so relaxing, there are cats and dogs around, they love and care for pets , that's a plus ..the decorations are amazing too, all handmade and handpicked,you can find a lot of local products there .sea is close, and there is also a clean pool .. we will definitely be back! Highly recommended

Amazing staff. They could not be anymore helpful. Thank you. Our flight was delayed for 24hrs having and had to find a hotel room at 4am. The staff came and picked us up from the airport and were very sympathetic. Being so close to the airport we were in bed by 5am. 3 stars for rooms due to amenities- very clean. Very comfortable. Lovely pool area. Lots of shade. Breezy foyer to stay cool awaiting the travel back to the airport to see if our flight actually goes later. Thank you again. Super staff!!!! So pleased they answered the phone to our call.

Stayed here for a week and I would like to share some PROs and CONs from my personal experience (from someone who’s between 25 - 30): PROs: - People working there are very nice and kind. They do really make the difference. I’d like to specifically applaud Dimitris and George from the bar, they are really nice people and we had great cocktails. 🍸 I appreciate their suggestions for activities around the village and places to visit in Rhodes. Thank you for the great drinks and the hospitality! 😉 I personally had a great interaction with the reception staff and I appreciated their hospitality and the suggestions they offered. The last but not the least, good job for the cleaning staff as we had our rooms refreshed every day & clean towels. - No kids around. - Cool & clean poolside. We always had available sun beds so don’t worry in case you feel like it’s not enough. Bar staff will bring drinks to you directly. Toilets and showers available outside. - Good breakfast and pretty diverse. You have many options to choose from & coffee/tea and you also get fresh fruits. There’s someone (a very nice lady!) who cleans the tables after you’re done eating. - There’s someone at the reception desk 24h. - The hotel itself has pretty cozy rooms and there’s enough place to unpack your clothes and organize them in the wardrobe. I personally prefer doing it for longer stays instead of creating a mess. I slept like a baby on those beds. - I loved the balcony! I think you have them in every room, standard or superior. We experienced both rooms and I personally preferred the standard rooms with no pool view, it’s more private. - Free parking & available cars to rent. The hotel is located in a village so don’t expect having Rhodes at a walking distance, do your research first. I recommend renting a car and you can do it directly from the hotel. - Many places to sit outside & chill in the evening. - There are markets, bars, tavernas & souvenir shops around. - There’s a lift. CONs: - Not allowed to take the coffee outside the restaurant area (during breakfast) which might sound stupid, but it can be really annoying if you’re a smoker and you want to enjoy it. 😂 - Bad wifi connection. - There are 3 sockets available in the room, but none near the bed. - Some guests were loud during the night/early in the morning and this one comes down to common sense. Overall, it’s a really nice hotel with great people in staff and good facilities for the money you pay. We really had a memorable experience and happy days 😊 and I’d definitely recommend.

Older reviews do not correspond to the current situation. The hotel is very nice, for the price I think even great. Everything is nicely cleaned and tidy, super pool. The staff is nice, I don't understand the complaints in the reviews, we never had a problem, receptionist, barman, manager, cleaning lady, all helpful. The biggest surprise for me was the food, which was delicious and tasty. Some negatives: no wifi in the rooms, shower splashing water all over the bathroom, high air conditioning fee. Overall I recommend this hotel, great value for money.

Overall a great experience. The food was great (we only had the breakfast), lots of choises. Room was clean and the cleaning was done 2 days apart. The pool area is amazing with a lot of space and the shaded garden in the back felt nice. Only two negative aspects: the A/C is not included in the price of the room (i know that is specified in the offert) and there are only two electric socket - i had a difficult time charging all my devices).

We come here every year. We love the peace and quiet it provides. The Hotel is so welcoming that we feel like it is our second home. The staff all work so hard to provide a good holiday for everyone. The manager and owners are so welcoming ( despite some reviews I have previously seen ) People obviously don't see what we see which is very warm welcoming people and we can't wait to come back in 2025

We stayed at this hotel for 4 days, staff very friendly and helpful, big and clean swimming pool and very good environment. It would be nice to have iron on demand, as they don’t have any, and double bed instead of two single beds. During hot weather as we had (30 degrees at night) aircon shouldn’t be paid (we paid 9€ per night), mainly because if you sleep with the window open is very noisy outside due to the airport being very close (you can hear planes until 1am and from 5am) and the insects ( like cockroaches). I think providing this service for free will give more reputation to the place. Also would be nice to have a sign for the door to indicate if you are in or not, for the cleaning service. Breakfast is good and good variety, and the common areas clean and nice. Room with a balcony with chairs and table.

The room and the hotel were very surprisingly good. We didn't think we'd like them so much, but we did! The food was great. Diversified. Drinks were nice. The pool was just big enough. It was close to the beach and the coach there in perfect hours. The staff were amazing.

Everything as expected, drinks were nice, people here are super friendly and we will miss them so much. If you are looking for a good price hotel with awesome people - you found the right hotel! The only disadvantage is distance from the beach but there is a free hotel bus which goes there 6x a day and the driver is a funny nice guy. We recommend this place with my family and we will miss it. Greetings from CZ!

Very basic and food is Rubbish same thing everyday all inclusive drinks are very limited. Hotel is poor ramp up to reception and dining area is extremely steep for any disabled person. Cats allowed to roam the hotel and do toilet under the tables often. Absolutely rubbish hot food is cold.when a member of staff is carrying what is supposed to be hot trays of food with bare hands it tells you how hot it isn't

Nightmare form time we booked in just after 12 no food or water . Breakfast was nothing to write home about but it got worst lunch time food run out at 1pm ment to be serving till 2 then when asked for management staff trying to past off pot washer as management am shame to have brought my husband here for our 1ts Anniversary how any travel agents pass this as 3 stars all I can say is they have very low standard. No morals and no value in life all hotel staff form management to pot wash don't care about anyone

Agree with most of the reviews on here regarding food and drink. We’re not picky at all but it was a very poor selection, spaghetti every night, food often cold and clearly sitting out for a long time. Drinks watered down and cups not the cleanest along with the cutlery. Rooms not the worst, very hard beds and wires sticking out of walls and some ants knocking about, shower is ABSOLUTELY diabolical. At one point, a light came loose in the pool and floated around the whole day without anyone doing anything about. Staff were mostly all lovely, really loved the free shuttle bus to the beach thought it was a great touch, they made the hotel a better place. Great location, easy to walk to Faliraki and the beach (mostly to find alternative restaurants). Would not visit again.

We spent one full week, from Saturday to Saturday, at the hotel. It was really pleasant because Rhodes is a wonderful place to travel. The hotel is well organized, and there are a lot of options to have fun with, like two pools, a tennis court, a table tennis table, etc. The hotel is a 5-minute walk from a bus stop to Rodos, with a 45-minute bus ride. The biggest strength of this place is the service and the staff, especially Kostas and his wife Sortira, who are locals always greeting you with a smile and a kind word. A special note for French visitors: Sandrine is fluent in both Greek and French, so it will be easy to talk with her to get information about the hotel and the island.

We stayed as a family of 4 in 2 rooms at the Meliton hotel for a week in August. Three things stood out to me during our stay and that was the cleanliness of the hotel, how well the buildings and grounds were maintained and the friendliness of the staff. Staff were always approachable, helpful and happy. The hotel is a little secluded, but there is a free transfer to the beach (3 mins away) and the bus stop a 10 min walk. The hotel also provides a trip to the Valley of the Butterflies for a small fee. You can also book other trips with tour operators from the hotel but they are quite pricey. We got the bus to Rhodes town for 3 euros each. If you pay on the bus they only take card, but coming back you can buy the ticket at the ticket office with cash or card. My only two gripes with the hotel was the limited food choices. You're in Greece so don't expect to see chips, pizzas, nuggets, burgers too often. I think they served chips twice during our stay. It didn't bother me, but my teenagers can be quite fussy at times. This is also the first all inclusive hotel where snacks haven't been available in between meal times so, my kids were starving come dinner time. We'd have lunch about 1pm and dinner isn't served until 7pm. We chose to eat out a couple of times. There's also a great snack bar at the beach that sells omelette, chips, toasties etc for a reasonable price if your kids need a top up. My second gripe was the amount of people smoking during meal times. As the main eating area is outside, people are smoking all around you. Even if you choose to eat in the small indoor area, it is all open to outside with sliding doors so the smoke comes inside too. It's not pleasant for children and non-smokers. Maybe a ban on smoking should be introduced during meal times only. Overall we had a great stay and would definitely recommend the hotel to others. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay a pleasant one.

Spending our last day here after 8 days of a wonderful holiday. A family run hotel, on the outskirts of "town". The rooms are great, clean, fresh and lots of storage with a fridge and a comfy double bed. The location may not suit all as the small town is a 20 minute walk away and not much there but we loved it. There is a mini mart on site though that sells all the essentials. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The all inclusive food may not be as varied as places with a huge food hall but is of good quality (sometimes basic.... But delicious) and varied throughout our 8 day holiday. There is a buzz around the bar in the evening but not too rowdy. There is easy access to the rest of the island either by the super cheap bus at €3 one way or there is car and bike hire available at reception and also cheap and easy! Great pool for lounging round.

The best thing about this hotel is the staff and hotel was nice for 3 star but the Food is awful and had to eat out, and the stench from the sewage through the drains wasn't very pleasant. Other than that I cant complain. I will mention again how bad the food was though. Process tinned food. Just not edible. There were 9 of us and we all couldn't eat it. I no everyone has different tastes but we weren't the only family not eating there. Such a shame. You will pay around 35euro to get to old town in a taxi as it's quite far out but only 15min walk to the beach. Had a lovely time in rhodes. Would 100% go again but not to this hotel unfortunately.

The hotel is very nice and the room quite welcoming. The staff helped us with everything we needed and there could be small improvements. The breakfast or lunch or dinner buffet could have more options. It is a hotel located outside of town, it could offer a larger buffet. You have to be careful with GPS. There is a paved road on which you can reach the hotel. Usually the GPS will take you to the field, an off-road road where it is not driveable, especially with a small car.

My partner and I stayed in the hotel for a week, we arrived and the hotel staff were friendly and welcoming. The hotel was modern and very clean. Our hotel room had a gorgeous sea view and the rooms were cleaned daily, with fresh towels placed everyday. The food was delicious and plenty of different foods to try and go about. One of the nights we had taken a trip to Lindos and as it was the Easter weekend, many people were celebrating, the hotel staff made an effort to come pick us up to ensure we were safe back at the hotel. Overall, the staff have made the experience worth while and the location is amazing.

Just got back from a week in the white olive hotel.lovely stay very clean and modern lovely sea view.rooms were cleaned daily and fresh towels. Short walk to bars and shops and a short walk to the beach .bus on doorstep.if you want to explore to island. All inclusive buffet lovely food . Hard working staff in restaurant and bar Rashid in charge of the restaurant and bar area always greeted you with a lovely smile and had time for you . Had one night of entertainment there a good night .

have just came back from a 11 night stay and honestly hotel was better than expected, staff were lovely and friendly always going above and beyond. the rooms were amazing also, cleaners were in every morning and could not fault them. one thing i would say is i wish there was a couple of more options food wise and maybe a wee bit warmer, but there was always something to eat. the best bit was the cats, friendly and well looked after. thank you for an amazing stay

Me and a friend just returned from our lovely stay at the White Olive. We had a great time and felt extremely well looked after by the friendly and accommodating staff at the hotel. The staff went above and beyond to ensure guest satisfaction and always had smiles on their faces, eager to please. The hotel room was spotlessly clean and we had a partial sea-view which was ideal for us. Unfortunately, there was a storm during our visit which meant some localised flooding on the ground floor of the hotel. Despite this being out of staff control, they did everything they could to keep the service running smoothly and ensure that guests needs were still being met. The only minor criticism we had was that often the food served at the all-inclusive buffet was room-temperature/ cold, however, I do like my food to be very hot (so am open to the fact that this might just be my taste.) Overall, we had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The staff were stars of the show and do a great job of running the hotel and ensuring that guests are always happy. To name a few particular members, we were often served by Mamood at the bar who was friendly, Rashid who is the Maitre D'hotel who is always smiling and eager to help any guest and Semjon who was the receptionist throughout our stay. Staff go above and beyond and I would definitely recommend this place as somewhere to stay in Lindos. Thank you all!

Lovely staff at the hotel especially Georgia. Hotel is in a good location with rows of shops on both sides of hotel a few minutes walk away. Food is very good with different selections most days. Clean good sized rooms and we had a nice view of pool. Drinks at the bar are great and the bar staff are super nice.
