We are just leaving Castello Village hotel and have had a brilliant week. All the staff are friendly and welcoming, our room was spacious and cleaned every day. The hotel is charming, and built around established trees which feel very rustic and natural. We had half board and found the breakfast and evening meal always tasty and had something different to choose. We would recommend to all for an authentic Cretan hotel.

Stayed in this hotel in September 23. Have to say that we were a little concerned after reading some reviews on social media but they did not represent our experience. Upon arriving at midnight we were taken to the restaurant where a meal had been saved for us. The young gentleman on reception was a delight. Showed us to our room, around the hotel, very polite and helpful. Our room was fantastic, just as was written in the booking. Breakfasts are huge, the variety of food was outstanding as was the same for dinner. All staff, without exception were polite, friendly and very helpful. The pools are great, location fantastic. Finally I have to give a huge mention to Carlos who ran the poolside bar. Without question, he’s was the best barman and cocktail maker in Sissi. He was very polite, would go above and beyond, interacted with everyone, just great. My first time abroad in years and I couldn’t have asked for a better one! Thank you. Mandy

So we spent 10 Days in the Castello Village Resort and we would do it again! We booked a room with a Land view. The first day we checked in, we got a room facing a wall that was not the Room that satisfied us so we asked nicely to change the room. The Manager offered us a different room the next day and we were so Happy with this room. We don’t like to complain about things and everyone handled the situation so nice and respectful. We had a great Mountain View, the supermarket and Car rent on the opposite side of the Hotel. Our Room was so clean and looked good every morning. ( спасибо Аня) How fast 10 Days get over, when you are happy and we definitely were! Its our last night here and we are very thankful for all the great people we get to know here and how nice everyone was. Everyday we had a delicious breakfast our plate was never empty from fresh cucumbers, tomatoes, oranges and a variety of baked goods croissants, bread ,little buns. The City Sissi is very lovely and we would recommend everyone to visit this beautiful place if you want a peaceful vacation. Make sure to take your time and talk to the locals you would be surprised how nice the people here are!

We stayed here for a week, there was 4 adults and a baby. We had a great stay and really enjoyed our time here. We started off with a room with faulty air conditioning but this was quickly rectified by the helpful reception staff who changed our room straight away. (Thank you!) The hotel itself was lovely, very clean and well situated. The staff are very friendly but a special mention to Thanos whose customer service goes above and beyond, always keeping our drinks full and our evenings entertained! Thank you!

Room was a little small but clean and comfortable, no balcony but had a veranda at front which meant no privacy but only 4 or 5 rooms in that area so not too many people passing. We even had a sea view from our veranda which was unexpected but really appreciated. We were b & b, there was a good variety of hot and cold food but no omelette station. All the staff were amazing and went above and beyond. Our a/c stopped working properly, but was fixed as soon as we reported it, thank you There was a variety of evening entertainment. The hotel is really well situated, just a short walk to lots of tavernas, shops, medical centres etc with a supermarket and car/quad/motorbike hire opposite The only down side for me was that there wasn't a beach at the hotel. There was a beach nearby but no facilities, only portaloos! The nearest beach with sunbeds etc was Kalimera Kriti which was a bit of a hike with a bit of rock climbing thrown in!!!

We stayed here for 7 nights. We had taken 2 rooms. Rooms were of good size. The welcome and check in at reception was very pleasant. We reached here after midnight and Antonio was very courteous. He arranged some salad bowls and bread rolls. Rooms were clean. House keeping team was good. The breakfast and dinner buffet weren't very huge but had a decent variety of food.The serverss were friendly and attentive. The checkout process was also very speedy and staff at counter, Anotinia was very polite.

Stayed in a standard sea view room whilst not as nice as some other 4 stars I have stayed in it was still more than adequate. The staff at the hotel especially the ladies round the pool made our holiday more special as they are so friendly and welcoming. The bay is just a 2 minute walk from the hotel making it a perfect location , if you have a waterproof bag you can swim to the village at the other side.

What a wonderful hotel. Excellent location near the small harbour and beach. Two pools,no mad scramble in the morning for sunbeds either. Relaxed atmosphere. Staff are extremely friendly especially George and Athina. If you want an English Breakfast, HP sauce and chicken nuggets for the children this is NOT for you. I would come back here in a heartbeat. Thank you for a fantastic holiday.

Lovely hotel, little bit on the older side. Great staff and nice views. Food is good, the hotel seems popular with German tourists and the food is slightly geared toward their tastes but is very good. Staff are amazing, really helpful and very friendly.

Currently staying here but not sure it's exactly 5* worthy. The rooms are well appointed with a very comfy bed but could be cleaner (they are clean I'm just wanting it to be spotless.) Having a private pool is cool. We've had a few issues including with a very unpleasant noisy couple occupying the room next door but they've been quickly dealt with upon reporting to reception. The Aircon can be a bit finicky but resetting it a few times tends to do the trick. Breakfast is tasty with a decent selection. Room service comes with fresh towels and beds made daily, sheets changed every other day.

Lovely hotel. The rooms are great, comfy beds and powerful air conditioning which is quiet. The rooms with private pools are the best. The best part about this hotel is the staff, they can’t do enough to help you and always friendly. Location perfect in the heart of Sisi in walking distance to plenty of bars, restaurants, and shops.

Fantastic hotel in a great location within Sissi. We stayed in room 155 at the front of the hotel, the room was clean tidy and regularly cleaned by friendly staff. The restaurant was very good and much better than expected, a wide range of food options, the staff were always friendly and helpful. Breakfast was always calm and relaxed with plenty of choice. Two pool, although we preferred the lower one as it overlooked the sea and had a lovely breeze. Evening entertainment was as expected and bar prices fair. If you want a bit more choice other options are just a short walk away, but you really don't need to! The staff in this hotel are fantastic and we wouldn't hesitate to return.

On arrival staff were happy and cheerful to greet us even in early hours of the morning with a bag of food due to the restaurants being closed with a drink and a sandwich. During our stay we couldn’t fault anything, rooms were lovely, staff were excellent beyond what we were expected. During our stay one of our party had a bad turn due to choking at dinner but every staff member tried to help and we couldn’t have been more appreciative!! In particular to this incident there was one gentleman which was staff, with dark hair young and very polite he quickly tried his best to resolve this issue without hesitation🫶🏽 Staff were very friendly and we couldn’t have met nicer people during this stay which really made our holiday 10 times better. We can’t wait for our return and this is because of the staff and the hotel, I hope every single one of them get the praise they deserve. If I could leave higher than 5* review then I would! There was also a lady with blonde curly hair that was just working at the hotel for a few weeks if I’m not mistaking. She went above and beyond for us during our stay she will be remembered.

This is not even close to a 5☆ hotel, and I could write reams of reasons to justify the comment, however, this was a thoroughly enjoyable 10 night stay. The food is excellent, plentiful and a wide variety of options to please any palate. The drinks are more than satisfactory, and again plentiful. No short measures at any time of day. But my overriding memory will be the wonderful staff. One or two lemons, but vastly outweighed by the amazing, unflappable, warm and welcoming majority. What a class act. And a special mention to Manos, who is and amazingly socially gifted young man. A real pleasure to engage with. Thank you all for an excellent stay in your hotel. 😀👍

Great resort. Not big, not small, perfect for families of kids under 10. Lovely location, great food. Would definitely go again. Rooms pretty good, beds pretty comfortable, rooms cleaned daily.

Hello-Goodbye Can't fault this place. From the moment we entered to the moment we left we had the best experience. We landed late, the team had plates of chicken, rice and salad waiting for us. After we'd eaten we got taken to our room. Clean, tidy, well made up. The hotel is on the sea front so from our room we could hear the sea lapping. Food was fresh, colourful and plentiful with many different choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We also tried the snack bar at the kids pool a few times. The staff were all very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. We tried the spa a few times. The spa staff were very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. Although we were all inclusive the hotel does have a paid bar, we went here a few times and it was worth the £££ with good cocktails and a clear view of the night sky. During our 14 night stay we tried both a la carte restaurants with the Italian being our favourite. Sissi village is only a 10/15 min walk away and is well worth the walk. Andy and the front of house team really work their socks off to do all they can and more to make sure your holiday is the best it can be. Thank you

We spent our honeymoon at this lovely hotel. The staff is very helpful. The food is tasty and varied from day to day. Rooms could use some freshening up. All the public areas are fine and well kept. There was live entertainment every evening. A thing to note that there is no WiFi in hotel rooms, only in public areas. Overall would visit this hotel again for sure.

I just want to say a huge thank you to every single person working at the Meli Palace. We were treated like royalty from start to finish. The service went above and beyond, with exciting upgrades and even a birthday cake. Great location, private beach, lovely pool, entertainment, drinks and food. The best part though, was how kind and funny everyone is - warm and personable and made us feel like part of the family. My only piece of constructive feedback is the double beds were uncomfortable, but I’m sure if we’d said anything then they would have come up with a solution (we used the other single mattresses which were much softer so all fine in the end!) Thank you all, you are amazing! We can’t wait to come back and bring friends next time!

Read all, it’s really bad. The points are in no particular order. PUBLIC AREAS: Restaurant too small, always waiting 20 min Outdoor area is reduced/closed from 18:00, pavilion from 17:00. you are only allowed to sit on the wicker chairs in front of the bar. No longer on the loungers at the pool, beach or lawn to read a book. You are very rudely shooed away that the area is closed and the sunbeds are then pulled away by the staff. Very little entertainment. Only Pilates and in the evening small "show"/live music in the "amphitheater" or the fireplace. Spa/sports area costs extra! 4€ for the equipment, 4€ the sauna, 4€ the whirpool (price for whole day). Day ticket for the whole area 10€ instead of single 12€ but only on demand. At A la carte double music, there is always music playing from speakers, location of the pavilion next to the amphitheater, you can hear the show there. Very unpleasant during a cozy dinner No WLAN in the room, only lobby, very very poor, often no connection. Quasi not usable. Cocktails very loveless, nothing shaken. Many cocktails from the menu can not be ordered because ingredients are not available. The toilets at the pool disgusting, stink extremely of old urine, everything rusted, are probably never cleaned, early in the morning sand everywhere from the bathers from the previous day, so not even wiped floor. No toilets near the restaurant, you have to walk to the toilets at the spa/sports area. There is a single plastic bottle of water in the room for the whole vacation, you have to refill it in the restaurant or bar at the water dispenser. ROOM: Room atrocious, poor condition, walls damp, paint peeling, even on the furniture. Table is a TV bench on a couch table. Balcony tiny, shared with neighbors. Beds are mattresses on 4 legs, no headboard, no footboard. 90cm wide. Feather light the bed frames, once placed in the middle they slide apart and you fall into the gap. We actually wanted a room with a double bed, there is probably not. View from the balcony to the bed, curtain too small, no darkening possible. Air conditioning is only "on" in 1-3 stages of the fan or off. No temperature control possible. Toilet is visually very unattractive and toilet seat does not fit the toilet, as soon as you sit down you slide to the right or left along with the toilet seat sideways from the bowl. Shower water is not warm (on 2 whole evenings!!) Freshly washed towels smell strongly of cigarette smoke. Incredible amount of dust in the bed and room. Girlfriend combs her hair in the morning, unbelievable amount of dust combed out of the hair, you can see in the brush. What you could guess before: Hotel is located in nowhere. Walk to Sisi 1h through the rocky coast, over the road much longer. Beach is 50m long and gravel. So no beach walks. Good: buffet food good, A-la carte very good, 1x included from a stay of 7 days. 2nd visit here and already considering booking again. Its a lovely hotel with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. The food is fantastic for a buffet, always something tasty in offer for all ages, I including a fussy 2yr old! The staff are always very welcoming and friendly. The entertainment team are also very good at getting people involved but without pressure if you're happier watching. The location is quite remote but this is perfect for the holiday I was looking for, Sisi town is approx 30mins walk with a few bars and restaurants. Day trips available to book, recommend the trip to Spinalonga. The rooms are a little basic however clean and better standard than other hotels I've visited in Greece. Highly recommend 👌

This place is fantastic for a real vacation. Quiet, private beach, pool, entertainment throughout the day. The food was amazing!! Staff is superb. Everyone with a smile on their face and really liking their jobs. The hotel cries for renovation. Furniture in rooms is really old and beds, even though they are large, are not very comfortable. Poor quality of drinks used for cocktails, wine was good tho.
