In my opinion it is not a 5 star hotel, maximum 4 stars, the beach is only stone, to enter the sea you need special shoes, it is not suitable for children because the sea is deep. The sheets on the beds are not changed every day, they just arrange them and that's it, nothing more. If you tell them to change them, they will change them. For Ultra all inclusive it is not worth paying because there is nothing extra, it is the same as all.inclusive, extra money for nothing. The food is enough but the same every day nothing different. A 5 star hotel should have a natural lemonade and a fresh fruit, but they do not have it, if you ask for lemonade they will give you a Fanta lemon juice, fresh juices are (store-bought juices) that have nothing to do with fresh juices.

This is by far one of the best hotels I have stayed at. It is a Greek run hotel chain, the staff are so friendly and welcoming. Not too big, and a real home from home giving you an amazing holiday. The food at the buffet is great, with lots of local favourites and as a coeliac the gluten free labelling was top notch. Plenty of options for veggie and GF which is not always the case. Can't praise the place enough. Private beach great albeit no snorkeling since the north coast bears the brunt of the sea

The staff is exeptionally friendly. The resort is small enough that you get to know most of the staff after a week of holiday, but big enough not to get bored. Highly recommend visiting this resort!

The hotel is certainly pretty but this is not a 5 star hotel in my opinion. The majority of the staff are super friendly and that is probably what is the best of this hotel. The beach is rocky and not as pretty as many other beaches closer to Chania for example. The food provided is very average, thankfully Alexandros taverna is near where you can get authentic Greek and Cretan cuisine. Please DO NOT upgrade to All Inclusive Ultra for the price it is not at all worth it. The rooms are ok.

Highly recommend this resort. Beautiful complex, staff are amazing and are so kind & attentive. Rooms are just what you need, large pool area and plenty of sun loungers. Situated next to the sea (stoney beach) public transport is easy to navigate. Restaurant staff are incredible and work so hard to ensure a great dining experience. We had a fantastic stay. Recommend visiting lake Kournas pedal boating with turtles & snorkelling to see sunken ww2 areoplane! Treat yourself to a spa treatment, you won't be disappointed. No complaints *****

Friendly and helpful staff. The air conditioning works, although the unit takes a moment to get going. The room with a balcony was clean and well-maintained in its vintage style. Delicious buffet-style breakfasts. The hotel is definitely worth recommending. On the downside, the toilet flush refills slowly, and the shower curtain also leaves much to be desired. Nevertheless, the stay was very enjoyable.

Beautiful old building in a great location, everywhere is accessible, within a 10 minute walk. Our room was air conditioned and come with a mini fridge and big balcony. The staff are friendly and the rooms are clean. They are in need of a slight freshen up, we had a junior suite which was lovely however the shower head had no way of attaching to anything so you had to just hold it the whole time you are in the shower. Not a big deal but an easy fix for the hotel. There is one giant drawback to this hotel which is sadly out of thier control. Right across the street is a huge nightclub that opens from 12am-6am Wednesday-Sunday. The sound travels through the walls and windows and keeps you awake the entire time. I can't see a fix for this other than the nightclub closing, but it has to be pointed out. It's a real shame as other than that the hotel is lovely. If you're an extremely heavy sleeper, you would be fine. In summary, a lovely hotel, lovely staff, lovely location, really annoying nightclub next door.

The perfect place to stay in old Rethymno! Very clean, kind and accommodating staff, excellent location, and beautiful building. The hotel itself is quiet, but there is some noise from the restaurants and clubs nearby. I am a light sleeper and was fine with earplugs and some white noise playing.

A beautiful place atop of the hills overlooking Chersonisos. Rooms are spacious, the bed is very comfortable. Great thing is a fully equipped kitchenette. The food is really good and the prices are not exorbitant. Special accolade for the lobby bar, the drinks really keep up the standard. The service is impeccable, we really felt welcome.

We went for our honeymoon and our stay was truly incredible! The resort is so beautiful and everything is setup so thoughtfully. Staff were wonderful- attentive, friendly, and helped make our trip so special. The food was also delicious and appreciate how fresh and locally sourced the ingredients all are. We also got to learn so much during our stay, especially enjoying the Cretan cooking class. And the shuttle is very convenient. We can’t wait to keep coming back!

We were three families on a 7-night vacation and booked a villa, a two-bedroom apartment, and a one-bedroom apartment. All the rooms were extremely spacious, with large balconies and big rooms. The breakfast was amazing – a wide variety of cheeses, vegetables, fruits, and desserts. The service at the hotel was excellent! Whatever you ask for, the staff will gladly help. There are small golf carts that take you and your luggage around the resort. There are two large, luxurious pools. This resort is highly recommended for families with kids – there are plenty of activities like mini golf, tennis, yoga classes, a gym, and more. There’s also a supermarket near the lobby with very reasonable prices – 2 euros for a six-pack of large water bottles, beers, snacks, and more. On Wednesday evenings, there’s dancing and a truly authentic and joyful atmosphere. The only thing that bothered me a bit was the noise from the cicadas – it’s nonstop. I’m not sure if this is common in all hotels in Crete, but in this specific hotel, the sound and amount of cicadas were very intense, and it’s hard to get used to it. The hotel charges a tax at checkout that isn’t part of the room price – 15 euros per night. Other than that, I highly recommend the hotel and its staff – we had a wonderful time and would be happy to come back again!

We have just got home after a week at village heights and we couldn't have asked for more from the resort. From the moment we arrived the staff were fantastic so helpful, attentive and welcoming. Our suite was huge with two outside areas, 2 bathrooms and so lovely and clean the welcome package was a beautiful touch and housekeeping came every day with fresh towels, to empty bins and change sheets if needed. We came self catering and food and drinks are fairly pricey on site but they offer meal deals and you get a voucher for a discount on breakfast and dinner to use within the first two days. We chose to eat off site most the time or use the ample facilities in the room to make meals. The resort is totally out the way and high up so the view is amazing but it is very isolated, the free shuttle bus service is a god send we used this regularly and enjoyed trips to herssonissos, the beach and the old town. Taxis are also easy to find and most give you a card so you can use them throughout your stay. The highlight of our stay for my children were the pools, they are so clean and beautifully maintained and a lifeguard is always present so they were able to swim safely without me being in the pool at all times. One day my son did not get out for 3 hours 😅. There is so much more I could say but overall we had the most amazing week. Special mention to Thomais on the front desk who was the most amazing, helpful and informative member of staff I have ever met and nothing was too much trouble for her she is a credit to the entire hotel. Also Emmanuel on the pool bar was fantastic and brilliant with the children and his cocktails and special coffees are beautiful. Thank you so much village heights resort!!! P.s. I am ordering some star jasmine for my own garden as the smell was so lovely and will be a nice reminder of the time we spent there.

We had a fantastic week long stay at Village Heights. The setting is absolutely beautiful, with stunning views of the mountains. The hotel itself is gorgeous—modern, spotless, and really well maintained. Our room was incredibly spacious, clean, and ideal for families as it had a kitchenette with oven, toaster and microwave. The bed was huge and very comfortable, and the overall service throughout our stay was excellent. That staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough to help. The food was a real highlight—high quality, tasty, and with great variety at every meal. The cocktails were also delicious. A couple of minor points- the kids' pools were on the small side and didn’t have any slides or water toys. Also, the pools don’t open until 10am, which can be a bit late for families with early risers. However there is a great playground and kids club! The evening buffet doesn’t start until 7pm, though you can grab something from the Citrus Bar earlier in the evening. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and we’d definitely return. Highly recommended for families looking for a relaxing, high-quality stay in a stunning location.

Had a lovely holiday here with my wife and 2 kids (10 and 13). The staff were fantastic, helpful and friendly. The 3 hotel swimming pools were perfect. Great atmosphere for families and those enjoying a break from it all. The nearby town is beautiful with lots to explore and good shopping. The all inclusive food was delicious, the drinks were good but then I don't drink much so not an expert. The family hotel room we had was fine but not 5 star. Overall it was amazing value and just what we wanted. I would go again.

This resort stay was booked through a timeshare. From the moment we arrived, the reception staff was begrudgingly helpful but not friendly. Not sure if it was because we had a large group, the timeshare thing, or our nationality. The villas are absolutely beautiful! However, transportation to and from the villas to the main resort was an issue. It is walkable but probably 30+ minutes. The main resort is beautiful with beautiful views, and I think staying on that part of the property would be fine. We booked a couple of excursions through the resort too. We felt like it was a chore for the resort staff to help us in any way. We finally ended up booking transportation through a company the resort suggested. In hindsight, we should have rented a vehicle. Would have saved us money. The location of the resort is a bit secluded.

Just had a week here, it was fine.. The food was perfectly fine despite what a handful of moaners say. Bit steep in places because it's Built into the side of a hill so remember that if you don't like hills. All inclusive drinks were perfectly acceptable in my opinion but that's because I'm not a raging alcoholic.. rooms were clean, staff were friendly and helpful, free bus to the beach, beautiful views, entertainment most nights.. it's not a chavvy benidorm place, it's somewhere to relax with your family.. which I want I wanted and exactly what I got... I'd definitely go again. Loads of stuff/excursions to do locally and further afield that you can book directly at the hotel as well.

I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the hotel. The rooms were very clean and well-maintained, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The reception staff were excellent. The food was very good, with typical Greek dishes and everyday options to choose from. I think they deserve the stars the hotel has. Great Stay at Rimondi Grand! We had a lovely time at this hotel. The rooms were clean and spacious, with beautiful views. The staff was friendly and helpful. The pool and spa were very relaxing, and the free shuttle to the beach and town was a big plus. The food was tasty, and we really enjoyed the drinks at the pool bar. Perfect place to relax in Crete!

Lovely holiday, its a very nice resort, rooms were clean, food was delicious, beautiful clear sea although it is a little bit colder as there is a stream coming in from the mountains but you could feel it only in the morning. Also the animators group were fantastic especially Mario! There is a power station near by but honestly we could not hear anything and apart from the visual sight from the beach there is nothing to worry about. Great place for families with children. We’ve stayed in several five-star resorts, and this one feels closer to four. The food was varied and delicious – I never went hungry. The vegan à la carte restaurant was excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful (special thanks to Sofia from housekeeping!). The pools were spotless, which I appreciated even if they closed at 6 pm for cleaning and chlorination. The beach was clean too, and the gentle slope into the sea made it perfect for children. The grounds were small but lovely, with grapevines, orange trees, and mulberries. And the bus stop into town is just a few steps from the entrance (€5 day pass per person). That said, there were issues: some plates, cutlery, and dessert bowls weren’t always spotless, so it’s worth checking before use. The chairs in the rooms had stained upholstery, and the carpet in the second-floor corridor was heavily worn and in need of replacement, despite the cleaning staff’s best efforts. The water slides only run for four hours a day, and one pool has an artificial island you can’t actually climb on – which seems a bit pointless. The hotel sits not far from a power plant. At night you can see smoke from its chimneys, but the wind usually takes it away, and I never noticed any smell. In the sea, there are some large rocks close to shore – I cut my finger on one and stubbed my toe on another. Water shoes are a good idea. A tip: the stretch in front of the far lifeguard tower (between the Greek restaurant and the river) is rock-free. I’d recommend this hotel for families with kids or anyone wanting a quiet, relaxing beach holiday. My biggest complaint, though, is the behavior of some fellow guests: filling bottles from the restaurant water jugs instead of the nearby water station; topless sunbathing and swimming despite the family setting; smoking by the pool and dining tables marked “no smoking”; shouting in corridors late at night; and picking out all the “good bits” from shared dishes, like shrimp or mussels, and leaving the rest. A little more respect for others would go a long way to making this a great stay for everyone.

I don’t even know where to start. The location is amazing. Within minutes, you can take a bus to the capital city. The bus stop is right next to the hotel. The hotel itself is older – it’s nothing luxurious or modern, but it’s clean and well-maintained. The room was a bit dated, but it was clean and housekeeping came every day. No mold or anything gross. The bed was comfortable, so no complaints there. However, I can’t imagine fitting an extra bed into such a small room. Food – there was plenty of it available throughout the day, either at the poolside tavern or in the main dining hall. You definitely won’t go hungry, and there’s a good variety. The food was tasty. The only thing I personally missed was more vegetables at breakfast – but that’s just a preference. The beach – beautiful, clean, and private, right nearby. But there were big rocks at the entry point into the water. Entertainment – if you came to this hotel for fun, you’ll probably be bored to death. There are some animation activities during the day (volleyball, darts, water gym – like in almost every hotel), but otherwise not much going on. The evenings are quiet. Maybe a short evening program, and then you go to bed. It’s more of a place for older people looking for peace and quiet rather than for young people looking to party. No disco, nothing. The town itself is also very calm. The hotel gym was honestly one of the worst I’ve seen. The water slides – in the pictures, they looked bigger, but in reality, they were just little slides for kids. One thing that really bothered me was the awful smell in the staircase of the main building around lunchtime. I don’t know if it was garbage or something else, but every day it smelled like someone had thrown up. On the bright side, the staff was friendly and nice. So how do I rate this hotel? It wasn’t bad, but it definitely isn’t a 5-star hotel. Whether you’ll like it depends on what you’re expecting. If you’re looking for peace and don’t have high expectations, this place is fine. If you’re hoping for entertainment and fun – definitely look elsewhere, because you won’t find it here.

First impressions, it's a small resort, breakfast was okay, but nothing "special" like omelette station. 1 use of each a la carte (3 of them) included. The gym is small and not well equipped, home conservatory level running machines,a few weights machines, no free weights worth mentioning. Room is a decent size, although I think we were put in a bungalow room which is a slight upgrade on the standard double. Bed is comfortable, Aircon works. Safe is a charged for extra, which is a bit weird. Beach looks nice, plenty of loungers. Pool view over the car park is not the best. Haven't sampled any of the drinks yet. I will update this review as I experience more here Update, I will add that the local area is not pleasant, the recommended walks from the hotel take you through an industrial estate past a concrete factory and under a dual carriageway. In the other direction is a "village", but it is mostly tourist shops and very busy.

We recommend Hotel Apollonia in Greece for a relaxing vacation. Great food, clean rooms, and a nice atmosphere. A big plus are the animations – animator Andrea was fantastic, full of energy, and always in a good mood. Thanks to him, the evenings were fun and the vibe was amazing!

We stayed in a two-bedroom villa with a sea view, two couples, for the second time. The service at the hotel is perfect, the staff is courteous and responds to every request with a smile and kindness. The villa is well-equipped, clean and simply perfect. The location of the hotel is truly dreamy, located on the mountain, with a simply stunning view, and is close to all the main places. Highly recommend staying at this hotel. We will definitely be back♥️

Stayed here recently in July for only one of four nights because we were catfished. Nothing looked like the pictures, I'm guessing AI did it and it was not a 5 star resort. The only thing 5 star about the place is the view in which we reserved a sea view Villa that only had a small view of the sea. I'd give this place 1.5 stars if I could because the maintenance person there was by far the most helpful for coming multiple times to fix or try to accommodate us. This is because the hotel front desk leaves at 8:00pm! I'm not a person to nit pick but if you are expecting a 5 star resort, as advertised, you typically are getting the best treatment possible. When we arrived, past the check-in time at 3:00pm, they didn't know we paid already through Expedia. It took them over an hour to figure out if we did and in the interim, we were given a nice smoothie to relax to. That was nice, but the bartender pulled his pants down to show his thong to the people next to us while a kids birthday party was going on. Very strange and I've been to Greece multiple times without any issues. Going back to how we were catfished, the pictures depicted beautiful grass, newly remodeled Villas, and food that look out of this world. The food menu barely had any Greek (pita/tzatziki) and it was Americanized with burgers and pizza with only 8 items on the menu. The Villa had one key and it couldn't be taken out unless you wanted the air to turn off in the Summer. The air, by the way, didn't even work and they tried to fix it but nonetheless it never cooled the downstairs and we were told to keep all curtains closed. The only air that worked were the bedrooms. The place was run down with the tub/shower in the bathroom being broken so you couldn't really bathe. Lastly, transportation is not at this hotel to accommodate the guest to go to the town so you have to pay for a taxi that seems to be confused or have trouble getting to the resort that is about 15 minutes from the town below. I understand being remote but when the locals don't even know the place and it's hard to get a taxi, why doesn't a "5 star" hotel even have a small transportation service? There were just too many issues within 12 hours that made us move and suck up a lot of money that we paid up front ahead of time because they wouldn't refund us. If you claim to be a 5 star resort, you should consider trying to go over the moon for your guests. We stayed at the Alai, a tribute portfolio resort when we left and they treated us so well that cost us less money than this place. Explain to me how that is possible!

I am going to be honest with you guys, I normally leave reviews when I want to complain, but this time, I am going out of my way to review purely because of how nice they were. Whilst I am at it, let me give some information, firstly, this place is out of the way, meaning you NEED a car, unless you like hiking daily. And the Taxi from Malia is 10 Euros each way (4 minute drive lol), which is obviously not the real price, but for Westerners, the least we can do is help out the economy a little, so I didn't complain about that personally. Now moving onto the actual hotel. Firstly, they gave us a free upgrade as we were a family and we had different villa types, but they put us next to each other via upgrading. Secondly, because we checked in very late, they left us each a bottle of wine, with food and salad. And not going to lie, that was a highlight for me. I personally poured that wine down at 3AM, and dipped into the pool. Aside from that, very polite, and classy people. The woman whom I forgot the name of, and sorry for getting it wrong, but I think she was Eastern European or Russian, was extremely classy, and informative, she went above and beyond for my family and always helped in any way that we needed. Anyhow, yeah, definitely come here, and rent a car beforehand, and full send it.

We had an amazing 2 weeks stay at Filion. There is nothing bad to say about our experience. The rooms are lovely and well attended. The food was a great variety and pleased all of the family - even the fussy eaters! The location is stunning and there is lots to explore in the area. The most impressive thing about the hotel though is the staff and the service that we received. The team are friendly, welcoming and went over and above to make our experience the best it could be. The reception team, the chefs, the cleaning team and pool bar team were wonderful. We would highly recommend.

Absolutely fantastic stay, me and my partner had 10 days all inclusive (definitely needed more!), the food was consistently great, staff were all extremely forthcoming and happy to assist with any queries. Great place for families and couples! Was thoroughly entertained every night. Only criticism was a slightly leaky shower and WiFi was a bit hit and miss, bar that everything else was brilliant! Would definitely recommend any excursions!

Perfectly adequate but do not expect a 5* if you've not paid 5* prices. Incredibly beautiful surroundings and amazing views from the rooms. Nice staff. Tons of food selection and all fresh/tasty. Delicious desserts which makes a change for an all-inclusive. Good selection of drinks. Rooms are spacious and very clean with comfortable beds, but it's not the 5* experience you'd hope for. Location: stunning but a car is highly recommended. Bali is very quiet and the beach very average. Entertainment was mostly terrible so be prepared to get out and about.

Creta Palace has a palpable soul, radiating a serene and joyful atmosphere that is truly special. The vibe of the resort seems to attract a wonderful crowd, and if you are sociable, you'll find it easy to meet other lovely people. The fantastic staff perfectly complement this ambiance; everyone was incredibly helpful and welcoming. We’d like to give a special mention to Elena, who greeted us so warmly at check-in. The hotel manager, Vasilis, was also exceptional; he was welcoming, attentive to his guests, and made sure we were happy throughout our stay. For those looking to stay active, there's a great range of activities, mainly sportive. To top it off, the evening shows were of such high quality and so entertaining, providing a perfect end to our days. The food was often very good, with a wide variety of delicious options, and the drinks were great too! There were a few cons, but not deal-breakers for us. The lovely sandy beach transitions to stones a few metres from the water's edge. The sea is beautiful, especially in the mornings, though we did notice it could get a bit dirty in the afternoons. It also gets deep relatively quickly, which wasn't ideal for our toddler, so we spent most of our time at the fantastic pools. I also found some of the food to be a little way too salty for my personal taste at times. Despite these small cons, our experience was overwhelmingly positive. The wonderful atmosphere of the resort, supported by the warmth of the staff, has convinced us. We will definitely be coming back to Creta Palace.

One of the best vacation experiences ever! Thank you to the entire Grecotel Creta Palace team! The hotel is absolutely spotless, the grounds are beautiful and well-organized, and you won’t hear loud music or noise—making it wonderfully relaxing. There are always enough sunbeds available, and the food is consistently good (we had the Comfort Package), sometimes even delicious—both in the main restaurant and the à la carte option we tried. But what truly makes the experience special is the staff—the people who make all of this possible and create such a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. Every request we had was met with friendliness and efficiency. They genuinely go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. A special thank you to Nikoletta and Eleni at the day lobby bar! The drinks are high-quality and clearly made with care. The service is impeccable, and once again, it’s that warm, relaxing atmosphere that really stands out. Thank you all once again! We spent a week at the hotel with the whole family. The hotel is beautiful, well equipped, the gastronomy is tasty and excellent. Everything was perfect. The best thing, however, was the staff of the main restaurant, we have never met such a professional and wonderful staff. They fulfilled all our requests. We are grateful to you for the fact that even though our family was large - 11 people - we could sit at one table every evening and morning.

We had a fantastic week here. Excellent service and friendly staff. Food was brilliant with some good variety. Loved the cocktails and variety of wines on offer too. Room was clean and very comfortable. We really enjoyed the evening entertainment, especially the Shaolin Acrobat team. Just a really nice relaxing hotel to be in and around. Easy to get a taxi into Rethymno too for a bit of local culture.

Let me start with the very impressive and exceptional service we received at this hotel. From allowing us to check in an hour early and check out two hours late, to offering us breakfast on our day of arrival, the staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. We booked a bungalow, for which we had higher expectations. The bungalow itself was located on the far side of the hotel grounds, requiring about a 5-minute walk to the main building and around 7 minutes to the beach. It felt somewhat old and only partially renovated — for example, the shower had a curtain instead of a glass enclosure. Being on the ground floor, we also encountered quite a few bugs, mosquitoes, and even some spiders inside the room. The hotel’s location is quite isolated from the city, so there’s no direct access to shops or good restaurants nearby. However, the hotel itself has a nice selection of shops and restaurants on site — just keep in mind that the prices are what you’d expect at a 5-star hotel. The somewhat remote location would have been fine if the beach had been better. Unfortunately, the entrance to the sea is rocky for about 5 meters before you reach any sand. Interestingly, the public beach right next to it was very sandy, so it seems to be only this private beach that’s less comfortable. Another downside was that it could be difficult to find two available sunbeds if you went to the pool or beach after 11 am. The hotel is very family-friendly, so most guests were there with infants or toddlers. The activities and entertainment were mostly geared toward families with kids, so if you’re looking for a more adults-only, party-oriented atmosphere, this probably isn’t the right place for you. Overall, I’d say it was a decent hotel for the price, but it didn’t fully meet our expectations.

Nice 4 star resort (on some websites it appears as 5 star for some reason). They have three pools and and two small adjacent kinds pools and are located by the sea-side. A nice sandy beach is reachable with a free shuttle from the hotel. They have a free kids club for over 4 and payable one for under 4. They also offer babysitting services. The buffet is good with always something to choose from despite the fact that some dishes are not so well done. Very nice and friendly staff and very clean. You can book trips around Crete from the reception with the company Cretan Odyssey. They are generally quite well organised and worth it.

This hotel was truly fantastic and you can’t go wrong by choosing it. Everything was top-notch – from cleanliness to breakfast to overall service. The lady at the reception was extremely friendly and welcoming, and the staff at breakfast as well as the cleaning team were all super kind and professional. The location is also great – not far from the city, which made everything easy to reach. They were also very helpful when it came to car rentals and gave us great tips for local hotspots and beautiful beaches. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back. Highly recommend!

We loved our stay at Vasia. The service from checking in through to checking out has been excellent. We enjoyed using the pools, gym and spa facilities. The breakfasts were amazing. There was so much choice for everyone. The dinners were also great, I especially enjoyed the salad bar and the freshly prepared main courses. The service at both meals was friendly and helpful. We had a family room with its own balcony, which allowed us to relax outdoors when it wasn't quite poolside weather.

We stayed at this hotel with the all-inclusive option at the end of July, and overall, we enjoyed our stay. Room: We originally booked the most basic room with a garden view, but we were given a room in the main building with a sea view — which was a lovely surprise! The view was amazing, and the room was small but very nice. It had a fridge, wardrobe, tea cups, bed, air conditioning, and a small table. The bathroom had both a shower and a bathtub, which was very convenient for bathing our baby. A baby cot was also provided — we appreciated that :) Housekeeping was decent. Don’t expect deep cleaning every day, but they do make the bed, change the towels, and sweep the floor. Bed linen was changed every other day. The cleaning lady in our building was really sweet ❤️ The only downside was that the shower leaked a lot — after every shower, the floor was flooded. Also, don’t expect brand new furniture or spotless perfection. If that’s important to you, this might not be the place. But if you’re not too picky — it’s totally fine. Food: Breakfast was the same every day, but it was nice that they offered freshly squeezed juice — we had it every morning, it was delicious! Lunch and dinner had a bit more variety, though the selection wasn’t huge. Still, everything was tasty. There was always a choice of different meats — chicken, pork, beef, and fish. Seafood was available daily, but not in a wide variety. Desserts were repetitive but tasty. Fresh vegetables and fruits were always available. However, if you’re traveling with a small child who doesn’t eat fried or heavy food, it can be a challenge — most dishes are more suitable for adults. I only gave my baby fruit, tomatoes, cucumbers, and chicken a couple of times. The food was too heavy for him otherwise. There was a “kids’ buffet”, but it only had muffins and cupcakes. Pool: We used only one of the pools — the water was very warm and clean, and the pool itself was well maintained. Beach: There is no beach at the hotel! Don’t trust the maps that show one nearby — in reality, it’s all big rocks and stones. The hotel does offer a free shuttle to a beach where you’ll pay €30 for two sunbeds and an umbrella (minimum). The beach is called Pleasure Beach, and it’s very party-style and trendy — not ideal for a small child. We rented a car for the entire stay and drove ourselves to a sandy, clean beach with warm water — Potamos Beach — highly recommended! There’s also a large supermarket just a 1-minute walk from the hotel that has everything you might need — from souvenirs, olive oil, and spices to regular groceries and toiletries. Great shop with good prices. Right across the street, there’s a car rental place called Mevis — we highly recommend it! All in all, I would recommend this hotel for a family holiday. It’s a small but comfortable place. You definitely won’t go hungry, you’ll enjoy plenty of time in the pool, and you’ll have a nice, relaxing stay :)

Want to be objective. Overall very big spacious facility with many buildings, pools of different sizes and resting areas, playgrounds,souvenirs and basics shops, spa, gym, amphitheater and a church, if you need. The service maybe could be a bit better, but in the peack of the season and with so many people in a huge hotel I understand it's not easy. The reception is very helpful however. Sea coast and the hotel beach is nice overall, stones on the ground, with little pier, cool for some pictures, unfortunately people leaving some trash, so you can see the plastic cups here and there on the ground. Food is enough, fresh, relatively standard, feel management is trying a lot with food, tap water is not very good, feel some weird taste, apparently it's tap water, don't know how well filtered. Pools were not very clean, we all( me, being 36 weeks pregnant, my husband and my step son - we all got gastroenteritis next morning after spending a 1,5 days there and I'm blaming water in the pool, it was rough for all of us). We rented a private villa and we were expecting it will be a bit newer for its money. It's in need of renovation already. And there is an old smell of cigarette smoke mixed with cleaning detergents. Old smell of sigaretts on the furniture because it's old, not because it's not cleaned Make sure you're fine with stairs, on your walk from the main level with reception, restaurant ect till the sea. The area is well maintained, clean, nice, lots if plants and flowers, lots of programs for entertainment.

Resort is in a beautiful place, the beach was very nice, the sea is shallow, but the bottom is rocky, so I would recommend boots into the water. There are plenty of nice beaches around, more suitable for swimming especially for smaller kids due to waves. The Staff was very nice and helpful. They were always smiling. Rooms were decent and clean. Room service cleaned the room on a daily basis which is especially important due to narrow pipes for WC and the need to throw toilet paper into a bin. When we had an issue with a noise from another resort they were kind and helped us find another room. We were not particularly happy with the food. Meat was either dry or chewy. For breakfast there was a variety of jams, cereals for greek yogurt or cakes which were good. Sausages, ham, and cheese were tasteless. I was looking forward to tasting the fruits since many could be local but I was unpleasantly surprised. More tasteful nectary or bananas I could by in my country and we do not have such a favourable climate. Food was mostly the same, so after a few days it was hard to pick something. A bigger concern was hygiene in the restaurant. Tables were set with cutlery and you could bring the food and drinks. Problem was that "clean" plates were not always clean. People were putting dirty glasses among clean ones, so we had to repeatedly take another one. So partially the problem was the clients who put dirty stuff whenever they choose, but nobody seemed to care. But dirty plates coming straight from the kitchen are clearly the resort's fault. There was an outbreak of sickness. People were vomiting and had diarrhea including my family. It hit the resort pretty hard, and some people ended up in a hospital. Source of water was suspected but there was zero communication about it from the staff. From our delegate we found out that we should request bottled water. We are back home but 5 days of the holiday were ruined by it and we are still not feeling well.

We recently stayed at Annabelle Beach Resort and, unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience overall. The pros? It’s close to the beach, but be aware it’s very rocky — you’ll need proper water shoes to go in the sea. There are also two large pools which were decent and offered enough space for everyone. The cons? A lot. The rooms are tired and dated, and the whole resort is in serious need of maintenance. Much of the furniture around the pool and communal areas was broken or worn out. There’s a real lack of care throughout the resort. The food was consistently poor, and the all-inclusive drinks were very basic — often served in tiny plastic beakers from warm bottles. Options were limited and frequently unavailable. Service was a real letdown. Most staff came across as unfriendly, and service at bars and restaurants was slow, even when not busy. But the most serious issue was the outbreak of a sickness bug. Guests weren’t informed, and many, including children, fell ill with sickness and diarrhea. Our tour operator ended up moving us to another hotel. Still, within hours of leaving, 6 of the 8 people in our group became ill and were unwell for several days. I’d strongly recommend avoiding Annabelle Beach Resort and looking for alternative accommodation — especially if you’re travelling with children or want a safe, stress-free holiday.

A pleasant experience overall! The hotel’s location was excellent – close to the beach, small shops, and rental options. The hotel area itself was large and convenient: several pools, bars, a private (rocky) beach, a small souvenir shop, and nightly entertainment with animators. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The all-inclusive package was solid – food was tasty with a decent variety, drinks were average (as expected with local alcohol). The room was simple but clean and comfortable. It’s definitely a place where you can spend a full week without leaving the hotel, but it’s also easy to explore the surroundings. Would recommend!

We've just spent 11 days in this hotel: Hotel with the best food I've ever had in hotels. Very good quality food!!! The only thing that needs to be improved is the quality of the snack food. The rooms are large and always clean every day. Bath towels changed every day and bottles of water available. A big thank you to Tonia and Pedro from the restaurant, who were always very friendly, and Yuria, the hotel manager, who was always willing to help. The beach is also very good, clean and when the flag is green the sea is beautiful! The hotel's only downside is the entertainment. Very, very bad. There are days when there is no mini disco for the children, there is no entertainment in the pool, always the same games (water-polo), many times of the day there is no music in the pool, the head of the entertainment team can't even motivate people to sign up for the games. The evening entertainment was also very poor. I would advise the hotel to review the entertainment team and I think everything will be up to scratch by then

The people are helpful and nice. A very nice lady at the Reception assisted us with swapping of rooms due to quite a noisy AC unit in our first room. No questions asked, no excuses. The beach is quiet and one can find a place to rest. There's a swimming pool for kids in the hotel. The food was good. It's 20 minutes from the airport. All good! Go and check it out.

We recently stayed at Bella Beach Hotel in Crete, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience from start to finish. While this hotel advertises itself as a 5-star resort, we would generously rate it as a 3-star hotel at best. Below is an honest account of our stay: Misleading Advertising: The room we were given looked nothing like the photos shown online. It became clear that the website images were highly edited and misleading, giving an impression of a much higher standard than what was delivered. First Room – Major Issues: We were placed in a room that was in poor condition. Curtains were ripped, stained, and filled with bugs; the balcony door did not lock, and there were cockroaches in the hallway. Inside the room, we also encountered flying bugs, and the kettle was visibly dirty. It was not clean by any reasonable standard. Second Room – Unacceptable: After requesting a room change (late at night), we were only offered a single small room for three people – not the double family room we had paid for. In this second room, we checked the mattress and were horrified to find it covered in urine stains and other unknown substances. It took nearly two hours for reception to replace the mattress. We had no choice but to spend the night there, as the other room offered the next day – a ground-floor double room – also had doors that didn’t lock, which was a serious safety concern. Third Room – Still Disappointing: Eventually, we were moved to a room on the second floor. While better than the others, it still had serious issues: Bathroom drains smelled like sewage, and water backed up during showers, leaving the room with a foul odour. The AC unit was dirty, chairs were stained and worn, and rusty hangers were in the closet. The shower had some mould. Food Quality: The food was mediocre at best and certainly not up to 5-star standards. If you’re staying for more than a week, the lack of variety and quality becomes noticeable. Final Thoughts: We understand that some hotels are older, and that’s okay – but cleanliness and basic safety are non-negotiable. Bella Beach failed in both aspects. It’s unacceptable to offer rooms based on photos that don’t reflect reality and to ignore cleanliness and safety. We have added some photos from our stay. We would not recommend Bella Beach Hotel, especially when there are far better options along the promenade for similar or better pricing.

We went for a week. Food was top quality; very well prepared with lots of variety. High point for us was the staff, who went out of their way to make us very comfortable. It's the people that make the place and the staff certainly did that! Took advantage of spa for massages which were superb. Also, took advantage of both Greek restaurant and fish restaurants which we thought were exceptional.

We stayed at the Bella Beach Hotel for six days as a family group of 10, ranging in age from 15 to 75. Every one of us thoroughly enjoyed the warm hospitality, kindness, and efficiency of the entire staff. From the porter (David) and the front desk team to the sports activity instructors, chef, catering staff, and especially the dining room manager, Antonia — everyone made our stay truly enjoyable. Antonia, in particular, provided the personal touch with a constant smile. We definitely plan to return to this welcoming resort and will gladly recommend it to our friends.

We stayed there for five days (a couple and a kindergarten-aged girl) during July with full board service. The complex is large and feels like a picturesque village and is pleasant to walk around in between variety of buildings and apartments. The service everywhere was courteous and friendly (cleaning, maintenance, reception staff and restaurant staff). We had an excellent service experience at the food and dining service through our stay. We had a very positive and pleasant experience at The Alexander beach hotel!

On our first day, at around 8:30 AM, we went to the pool for the first time. There were only 5–10 other guests spread across the different pool areas, yet every sunbed already had a towel on it. We couldn’t find a single free spot. The hotel has signs saying this is not allowed, but no one enforces the rule, so no one follows it. As a result, we had to join the same ridiculous game if we wanted a place to sit, which meant getting up at 7:00 AM every day. By 7:30, most spots were already taken. The attached picture shows the situation at that time: blue towels everywhere, staff walking past, and nobody doing anything. This pretty much ruined the vacation for us and is the main reason for the 1-star rating. The pools were also regularly overcrowded. Food: Breakfast buffet: Good variety, but some items tasted like they were from the day before or from the budget aisle of a supermarket (e.g. French toast, croissants). Dinner buffet: Nothing special. The daily themes tasted very similar, and it was often impossible to guess the theme without looking it up. For example, we had a filled pastry three days in a row, just with different fillings (different vegetables,cheese). Overall, it had a bit of an office-canteen quality. Room cleaning: Beds were made daily, but beyond that, service was inconsistent. Some days the drinking glasses were cleaned, other days not. Shampoo wasn’t refilled. Guests are supposed to receive a new bottle of water every day, we didn’t. After three days, we complained at reception. It took two complaints before we finally received the water. One moment summed it up perfectly: someone lost a used plaster (band-aid) on the stairs to the first-floor rooms. The cleaning crew must have passed it countless times, but when we left half a week later, it was still there.

We have just returned from a week here B&B. The location is stunning and the ideal place to come to relax. Different pools to choose from and no one rushing to secure beds in the morning. Lots of lovely restaurants nearby. Breakfast buffet was well stocked with so much choice. The room was quite basic but very clean and cleaned every day. The staff here are so lovely and really make your stay as enjoyable as possible. We will definitely be back!

It was a beautiful vacation. The hotel has many swimming pools, especially for adults, but it also has 3 swimming pools for children... one for children/babies 2 - 3 years old which is covered with a tarpaulin to create shade and be able to take advantage of it at any time of the day... and the other 2 are right next to the adult one. Our children took advantage of the interactive games that were organized almost every day. The food was good and the service impeccable. The only thing I didn't like was that I had to pay a fee of 15 € / day x 7 days = 105 € / room

The hotel was fine, personnel very polite and chilled and everything clean and in place. The restaurant was great, with fresh quality food and an amazing variety of healthy (and naughty) things to’ eat. We went in low season and still the animation was great. Mike and David entertained us all at night with the mini disco, the quizes and the dances, and we can only imagine how great it must be when Weather permits to do it all’ outdoors or longer into the night! You can tell when people love what they do and Mike was a great example of passion, skills and leadership. The kids club was already open and Natalie was amazing: our child loved her and she knew how to entertain them all! The kind of patience, resources and skills she showed made us even consider to spend again some holidays in Crete (that is, at this family Hotel)

I had the pleasure of experiencing La Mer with my sister, and it was such a relaxing and memorable stay. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was calm, peaceful, and just what we needed. There was a small inconvenience with our room, but the staff handled it with grace—they kindly upgraded our stay to full board, which included delicious meals throughout our visit. The food was consistently fresh and flavorful, and the service was wonderful. The beach is the true highlight—calm, clean, and serene. It’s the perfect place to unwind and soak up the beauty of the surroundings. The spa was another standout; the masseuses are incredibly skilled and left us feeling completely restored. All of the staff were kind, attentive, and genuinely helpful, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I’ll definitely be returning to La Mer—it’s the perfect escape when you need rest, beauty, and great service all in one place. Gorgeous stay.

It is rare to have such nice staff who are really genuinely friendly and take a lot of time to talk to the guests. The service was truly unique and there is nothing that could have been done better. Our stay at La Mer was simply fantastic and exceeded our expectations in every way! From arrival to departure the service was absolutely flawless. The whole team was incredibly attentive, friendly and accommodating. Our every wish was practically read from our lips and they really looked after us personally. We have rarely experienced such outstanding service. The hotel itself is beautiful, the rooms are comfortable and spotlessly clean. The pool area was really great, as was the private beach. The food in the restaurant was also excellent. I can highly recommend La Mer. If you're looking for a relaxing stay with first-class service, this is the place for you! We will definitely be back!

My only recommendation will be that the indoor gym equipment gets a bit of an upgrade, but I still managed to get my workouts done and also used the outdoor gym.

We recently stayed five nights at this hotel and had a wonderful experience. It’s a modern complex with a beautifully designed interior, and everything was exceptionally clean. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The rooms are lovely, with a comfortable bed and a great shower. Breakfast was delicious and very extensive, offering something for everyone. We also enjoyed the pool bar, where the food was of excellent quality. We would especially like to thank Gianni for the warm welcome, Faso for the delicious egg dishes, pancakes, and waffles at breakfast, and Anthonis and the other team members at the pool bar — they all work incredibly hard and remain consistently friendly. The chef also deserves a special mention for the amazing pizzas! If we had to mention any downsides, the air conditioning in the room was a bit difficult to regulate. It often got too cold, but turning it off made the room too warm, especially at night. There was also no night mode, so it could be a little noisy. Additionally, we found the pool water a bit too warm for summer, and accessing the sea was difficult without water shoes. All in all, we had a very pleasant stay. However, we would not choose to return, due to the animal suffering we witnessed on the island. The island is full of stray cats and dogs, and unfortunately, even the hotel is home to two stray cats. They were not sterilised, as indicated by the lack of an ear clip. There were no food or water bowls provided for them anywhere around the hotel. The cats were always present during meal times, begging for food, which we found very sad. We believe the hotel could take responsibility for their welfare — at the very least by providing food, water, and sterilisation. Without taking these steps, the hotel is indirectly contributing to the ongoing problem of stray animals on the island.

Esperides resort is a fantastic spa resort nestled in the small village of Koutouloufari. We travelled as a family of four with late teen children. We had a one bedroom suite which was spacious and pleasantly decorated. To accommodate our second child an additional sofa bed was added which did take up some space in the living area. The hotel has two main pools. One being an adult only chilled pool area and the second being lively with continuous music throughout the day. The hotel offers a B&B, half board and all inclusive option. During our stay we opted for half board. The hotel gives you the option to select whether you have lunch or dinner, but you are required to inform the hotel of your choice the evening before if you opt to change, however be aware that the half board option does not include drinks at lunch and dinner. We had opted for half board on the basis we prefer to go out on an evening and explore the local bars and restaurants. During our stay we ate at lunch time once. We found the food option was limited and didn't compare to a meal you could purchase from the pool bar or cocktail bar. It was just your standard buffet style food. Breakfast was much better with a large choice of English and continental breakfasts available daily. One down fall with the hotel was a misunderstanding over a room charge for the spa treatment which in my opinion wasn't dealt with in the greatest of ways. A note to the hotel is when giving a receipt to the client regards the agreed treatments add the total to the receipt signed for. Not a tiny 2x that no one will see in the corner. All in all the hotel is a fantastic resort which we thoroughly enjoyed. At some point we will re - visit Esperides resort.

Esperides is a beautiful and stylish place with very nice and courteous staff. We had a lot of fun and drive fully relaxed back home. Definitely a recommendation. Try to get a room with sea view, as other rooms may be not as nice.

We had a lovely stay at Esperides Resort. Our room was stylish and comfortable. Nothing major to note, but we were really pleased with it overall. There was the occasional ‘eggy’ smell from the bathroom, and we did come across one cockroach during our stay, but these were small blips in an otherwise pleasant experience. A standout moment was receiving a bottle of champagne and a plate of chocolates and fruit in our room for our anniversary, a thoughtful touch that made our stay feel special. We only booked bed and breakfast but found the food to be great. There was a good variety. Hot/fried options, fruit, cereal, toast, pastries, meats, and cheeses and the restaurant itself is absolutely gorgeous. The resort’s layout and design are beautiful, with lots of different levels and an open, airy feel. The bar was lovely too, we personally found it more relaxing when there wasn’t entertainment on, but that’s just down to taste. We mainly stayed at the adults-only pool, which was quiet and perfect for us. The water was cold (certainly not heated) but refreshing in the heat. The main pool was much livelier, so we preferred the more relaxed vibe of the adults-only area. One thing we really appreciated was the hotel’s car rental service. It was fairly priced and really straightforward. We just spoke to reception the day before, and it was all easily arranged. The location is great too. There’s a little village a 2-minute walk away with plenty of good places to eat (where we ate most nights) and a lovely waterfront town about 15 minutes away on foot. On the day we checked out, we were impressed with how accommodating the resort was. Even after leaving our room, we were still free to use all the facilities, which made a big difference as we had a very late flight. They even have a designated room with showers and changing space for guests who’ve already checked out, such a thoughtful and convenient touch that allowed us to relax and enjoy the day without feeling rushed. Staff at the resort were friendly and always greeted us with a smile and a joke as we passed by. Overall, a relaxing and enjoyable stay. We’d happily return!

One thing was really outstanding: The service. The staff is very attentive and accommodating. Always willing to help and having a smile on the face. English is spoken very well, partly also German and French. The effort the staff does with cleaning is stunning. Every morning the whole area is swiped wet, all sun beds as well. Further recommended: Booking a massage! If you do not want to book half or full board there are plenty of very nice and reasonably priced restaurants in walking distance. For my taste breakfast could have a little more variety, also if you want to have "premium" espresso you have to pay extra. Sufficient sun beds are available at the 2 pools. If you are a traveller without children consider visiting outside school holidays, as not all children are well behaved in the pools and the pools are not olympic sized...

We booked a holiday to have a good, relaxing break. No tourist spots, just a chance to sit by a pool with a good book, and just shut the world out. This place definitely helped! Once we got through the gate, everyone was accommodating, friendly and helpful! Shout out to Nikos and Manos for the welcomes, the chats and the friendly banter, definitely seek these two out! The pools are heated and relaxing, lots of space to lay out, we had a jacuzzi in our room which definitely helped during some of the (rare) cool evenings! Thanks a lot for a great week! When can we come back?!

We honestly had the best holiday ever here. The hotel is huge and beautifully designed, it feels super luxurious but still warm and welcoming. We even got an unexpected upgrade to a room with a private pool, which honestly made the entire trip for us. The room itself was spacious, and the terrace with the pool was just perfect to soak up the sun all day. There’s also an indoor pool and a gym you can reserve for yourself, which was such a nice touch, no crowds, just peace and quiet whenever you want. Also they host a show every day at one of the three hotels. We attended the fire&light show and the South African band, which were both incredible. But honestly, the staff was my absolute favorite part of the whole stay. Everyone was so kind and genuinely made us feel at home. We arrived very late around 10-11pm and they expected us with something to eat and drinks on the house. By day two, they already knew our coffee order and just brought it to us at breakfast without us even asking. They really took the time to get to know us, we had so many lovely and personal conversations. I’m truly gonna miss them and we already can’t wait to come back next year!

We spent a week at the hotel and spa which was always a clean and pleasant place to return to after a day exploring the island of Crete. Staff were excellent particularly Mariana whose eye for detail was great and the food service staff ( who recalled what our preference was for breakfast ). The hotel entertainment was a bonus , run by a very enthusiastic gentleman with a good music playing and willingness to play requests which allows those who wish to dance a good experience. The hotel grounds and pool are well maintained and very tidy with views of the church and mountains beyond. Comfortable room with good bed and plenty of space made the stay great. Top marks

Booked a room with Gardenview for 6 nights. Really it's churchview. But the church is beautyful so it's not a problem. Big breakfast buffet with lots of tasty food for all needs. Same to say about the dinner buffet. The rooms are big and comfortable. You get a electric kettle and a fride. A decend sized TV, a hairdryer and a commodious shower. There is a pool and some loungers with lots of sun all day long. But it's just a five minute Walk to the beach, wich I would recomend. There are a lot of Stones though and water shoes are nice to have. Or 20 minutes to an "all sand" beach (in front of the Kalimera Kreta). Really friendly staff. 10/10 will come back.

The hotel was lovely, with an incredible view. However, we paid for a double, and we got a twin. The rooms could do with a bit of an update. The material was broken on the chairs, and the mesh blind. The bedding is old and had dirty patches. Also, I wouldn't advise staying here if you struggle with walking as it's on a very steep hill, that you have to walk up with your luggage. You can get taxis to the door, though. There isn't much around either, so if you're happy to chill by the pool with delicious food, then this is your hotel.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean and tidy. Greek food in buffet was rather good, the pasta and pizza a bit less impressive. House wines not really great, but good choice of other drinks, both with and without alcohol. A bit too few sun loungers. A bit out of town, something like 30 minutes walk. Absolutely amazing views from pool and dining areas.

The staff is INCREDIBLE. So sweet, caring, they are helpful, speak excellent English, always in a good mood, and will do everything to make you feel comfortable and well taken care of. Breakfast is great with lots of (fresh) options. Waiters are also sweet, attentive, fast. The view is wonderful, the bar is good, food at the bar also great. Can't complain about a thing - I had a wonderful time.

This place was wonderful especially if you just want to relax. You will need a car or get taxis (cash only) to get around. The restaurant and pool bar have great food and service, so no reason to leave the premises. The staff was wonderful and accommodating. The rooms are spotless. The pool area was astounding. Plenty of room. Not crowded. Lunch and drinks available all day. Views over the water were wonderful to stare at all day/night long. Highly recommend

Staff were super friendly and went above and beyond. Hotel was modern, big and had lots of pools. Rooms were clean and fresh. Restraunt for all inclusive was lovely! Views were also great looking onto beach while eating. Would definitely recommend. The only things to improve would be that by 9am all sunbeds was taken. I think staff should go around and remove towels from reserved beds. You could only use the pool bar to get all inclusive drinks. It would’ve been better if you could use the other bars part of all inclusive. Overall great stay and would definitely recommend!

⭐ 2 out of 5 I stayed at this hotel recently and unfortunately, my overall experience was disappointing — despite a few positive aspects. The good: The location is great. The hotel is clean and well-maintained. The food is decent, although it could definitely be improved. The bad: There’s a daily charge for using the in-room safe — which should be included in the price at a hotel of this level. The room does not have an iron, which can be inconvenient for longer stays. Sunbeds and umbrellas on the beach are not free — you have to pay extra for them. The worst part of my experience was related to the booking. I made my reservation through Expedia, and I clearly paid for an All Inclusive package. However, when I arrived at the hotel, I was told I only had Half Board. It turns out the hotel uses a misleading practice: the booking confirmation email does not specify whether your reservation includes All Inclusive, Half Board, etc. It only shows the room type, number of people, and your name — which can easily cause confusion or worse, be used to deny what you actually paid for. I felt tricked — I trusted Expedia and didn’t double-check the confirmation email in detail, and that was a mistake. I believe this is a form of dishonest behavior from the hotel, and it left a very bad impression. I hope this helps other travelers avoid the same issue. Be very careful and double-check everything when booking this hotel.

My family and I (2 kids under 10) stayed at Porto Platanias beach resort over Easter and it was fantastic! Highly recommend. All the staff were friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The food was delicious for any meal and snacks were great by the pool too for All inclusive. We have some food allergies in the family and they were accommodating and helpful to be sure we had all we needed. The Amination team (Martin, Teddy, and Stan) were incredible. They were always very friendly, funny, and willing to play games (darts, shuffleboard, bocca, table tennis, stretching) with us and the kids both during the day and in the evening. We all give them 110% rating. We would definitely come back just to have this great crew. Another shout out to George who was a great bartender with lots of tasty drinks, drink ideas, and was nice to chat with. Lastly we were able to pay extra for an Easter lunch. It was very delicious, a bit crazy when everyone got food so possibly under staffed but still a nice experience and great entertainment. Overall, it was a great vacation with nice day trips for everyone. The town has all you need in walking distance too.

Poorly cleaned rooms, uncomfortable and worn-out mattresses, and a staff member entered my room while I was naked. The resort has no common areas or meeting points, making it impossible for guests to socialize. The only good thing was the food – tasty and varied. Overall, it’s not worth the price.

We made a reservation at the Porto Platanias Beach Resort & Spa. However, upon arrival the Hotel refused to honor our reservation and accommodate us at the hotel. They suggested that our reservation was at the Porto Platanias Village Resort (a much lower rated hotel in same group). Booking.com responded to our enquiry and confirmed that our reservation was in fact at the 5-star Porto Platanias Beach Resort & Spa as we had said all along. We forwarded all our proofs of the reservation but the the hotel did not accept it and never responded to our messages. We had to stay at the second-rated hotel for the entire stay. We wanted to stay at a hotel that fronted the beach. We did not even consider (know of) the Village-hotel at the time of making the reservation and therefore would have chosen a completely different hotel had we have known that the hotel would transfer of our reservation from the Beach Resort & Spa to the Village Hotel. We believe the hotel is directly responsible since they are either grossly negligent in allowing third-party partners to offer rooms at the Beach Resort& Spa and then placing them in the second-rated village hotel. Or alternatively, they are complicit since ultimately they are selling rooms at much higher rates than what one would pay if you were to book directly at the second rated village hotel, that would not have been sold.

Our stay at the hotel was excellent! Breakfast was rich, with great variety and very good quality choices. Particular reference is worth the Fotini from the bar, which was always willing, smiling and helpful. Not only did he offered us our coffee in the morning with courtesy and care, but he also suggested beautiful places to visit in Crete, showing real interest. Absolutely loved our stay at this Cretan hotel! The all-inclusive package made everything so easy and relaxing. Having multiple seawater pools was fantastic – there was always space to swim and the views were incredible. And the direct beach access? That was the icing on the cake! Infinity pool beautiful but everyone ignores the no reserving before 9am rule..but we generally have been ok in getting sun beds. Rooms amazing. Small hotel not really not what we are used to but thoroughly enjoy it!!

All dressed very smartly, friendly, considerate & speak different languages to accommodate. Attention to detail is high. Entertainment every night. Sauna, steam room & Spa. Shops, bars & restaurants everywhere around. Used room service to ask for an iron which was promptly brought to my room & to top that I was left a beautifully decorated, very tasty chocolate birthday cake in my room - what a lovely gifted surprise. Wonderful Stay at I Resort Beach Hotel & Spa Our experience at I Resort Beach Hotel & Spa was truly memorable. We arrived at the hotel around midnight and were pleasantly surprised by how quickly we were checked in. Even though it was late and we were a bit hungry, the hotel had already arranged a delicious pita sandwich in our room. This thoughtful gesture made us feel very welcomed and appreciated. Our room was in a great location with easy access to the beach, which we really enjoyed. While the room was a bit on the smaller side, it was comfortable and well-maintained. The buffet at both breakfast and dinner offered a wide variety of choices, and the food was delicious. The floor service was excellent—friendly, attentive, and efficient. I would especially like to thank the manager, Ilias, and the hardworking staff members: Paulos, who was always busy making sure everyone was served quickly, and Giorgos, another friendly and dedicated waiter. Every evening after dinner, the hotel provided entertainment including dancing, singing, and karaoke. Each night featured something different, which kept things exciting and fun for all the guests. A special shout-out to Joan and Chloe from the entertainment team, who went above and beyond to make sure everyone had a great time. Towards the end of our stay, I encountered a problem with my coach transfer back to the airport. The receptionist, Alice, was extremely helpful and handled the situation efficiently, for which I’m very grateful. Overall, I Resort Beach Hotel & Spa exceeded our expectations with its warm hospitality, great food, friendly staff, and enjoyable entertainment. We would definitely recommend it and look forward to returning in the future.

Disappointing Experience – Not Worthy of 5 Stars I recently stayed at this hotel in Crete and, unfortunately, my experience did not meet the expectations of a 5-star resort. Starting from the first day, I encountered something completely unacceptable: in the minibar fridge of my room, there were a few bottles of water – one of which was filled with seawater. Whether this was a prank by previous guests or not, it is the hotel’s responsibility to ensure the room is properly checked and everything is safe and appropriate for new arrivals. This was a serious oversight and a very poor first impression. The food was consistently below the standard one would expect from a 5-star establishment. Often of very low quality and not fresh, it simply didn’t match the setting or the promises made. Even basic details, such as serving cold water at breakfast during the hot summer season, were overlooked – the water was always warm. As for the staff, my experience was mixed. The older staff members were often unpleasant and, at times, irrational in their approach. Thankfully, the younger team members showed more kindness and professionalism, which was appreciated. It’s truly a shame, because the hotel is in a beautiful location with great potential. Sadly, the poor service and lack of attention to detail ruined what should have been a relaxing holiday. I found myself counting down the days until I could return home – just to enjoy a simple, good coffee. I’m not sure if this reflects the general standard in Greece, or if I was simply unlucky with this stay. But for a hotel that claims to be five-star, this experience was deeply disappointing.

The only positive thing I can say about this hotel is that the view is absolutely stunning. It's a real shame that everything else falls so short. Of all the all-inclusive resorts I've ever stayed at (and they are many), this was by far the worst experience. The activities are only is French. The afternoon snacks are incredibly limited, usually consisting of sad, reheated pizza that's been sitting out all day and stale cookies. The lack of pool chairs and umbrellas is a major problem. There are nowhere near enough for the number of guests, which leads to a daily battle for a spot. For our first two days, we had to sit on regular dining chairs with our 2-year-old because there were no lounge chairs available. On the third day, we finally got one by going to the pool very early. But then, in an attempt to "solve" the problem of guests reserving chairs, the hotel took a ridiculous approach. We were at the pool for just an hour, and when we returned, our belongings had been thrown aside and other people were sitting in our spot. The staff told us that reserving chairs wasn't allowed, which is an absurd way to treat paying guests, specially considering we were in the pool!!! To top it all off, the hotel has lots of stairs and is definitely not child-friendly. There isn't even a playground, making it a very difficult place to be with a toddler. The transfer to and from the hotel to the beach is also extremely unsafe. It's done in an improvised truck with no doors, and it's so overcrowded that people are forced to stand while the vehicle is in motion.

They definitely don’t like the Brit’s rude staff the food I’ve seen better meat served up at London zoo for the animals hygiene what hygiene they had a magic cloth that cleans every table that they keep in there pocket no multi surface cleaner in sight tables always sticky the wine like vinegar everything was the cheapest they could buy 5 star no way 2.5 and that’s being generous all animations are in French so we are not included and cannot join in adult quite pool well again rules very slack children in pool there’s a sign to say no smoking around the pool but the French just left dirty ashtrays under sun beds the sun beds where never cleaned they where dirty I’m surprised people where not ill with Covid room was cleaned every day and the rooms are a long way from dinner hall all up steep hills I must just say the food was the same every day chicken I think and maybe pork what don’t get eaten one day will return the next it could be made into something else or even be served up dry as a bone honestly the food was **** please don’t put yourself through this remember it’s ment to be a enjoyable holiday this place is punishment !!!!!!

Stayed: August 2025 Athina Palace is a resort you’ll fall in love with from the moment you arrive. The complex of charming, stand-alone apartments is set on a breathtaking cliff, offering panoramic views of both sunrise and sunset. Every view from the resort feels like a postcard. We were warmly welcomed at reception by smiling, lovely ladies — a greeting that instantly made us feel like VIP guests. Our room overlooked both the main pool and the sea, was well equipped, and featured an absolutely superb bed — a 30 cm thick foam mattress, medium firmness, measuring 200×200 cm. Honestly, that bed deserves a review of its own! During check-in, the staff noticed that my wife’s birthday was the very next day. They offered us a reservation at the almost fully booked à la carte restaurant. After a wonderful dinner, the entire team came to our table with a cake and sang “Happy Birthday” to her. It was a touching and beautiful moment that we will always remember. Pools & Beach: Two quiet, adults-only pools near the main building, with a bar and a friendly bartender who can cater to almost any request. A larger, livelier pool with a children’s section is located in the center of the complex, alongside another bar and a dining area for lunch, with a genuine Greek à la carte taverna upstairs. The beach with blue flag is about a 15-minute walk downhill, but for those who prefer not to walk, a free shuttle service runs throughout the resort. The small, picturesque bay has crystal-clear water, a gentle entrance to the sea, and plenty of sun loungers. Thanks to the location of the beach, there was never a red flag during our stay — even on windy days when swimming was not possible elsewhere in Crete. Food: The food was excellent. Breakfast was generous and varied — everything you could possibly want was on offer. We mostly enjoyed the traditional Greek dishes, which were outstanding. The à la carte restaurant was of a very good standard, with a menu that pleasantly surprised us. Staff: The team worked like a well-oiled machine, yet never in a mechanical way — there was genuine warmth and care in their approach. From the first to the last day, we felt truly valued as guests. There is also a car rental office in the lobby of the main building, with prices starting at €60 per day. Summary: Athina Palace is a place I highly recommend. I rarely return to the same destination twice, but this is one resort I would be delighted to visit again.

This place is amazing, its a hotel built on an entire hill, which can be sometimes steep, espcially if you dont take the bus up to the top :), and yes there are 2 ways of reaching the front desk and the restaurant area from the beach, my favourite, on foot giing up a lot of stairs(did that several times a day) or by bus. The beach is small and a hidden gem, the water is clear and nice, its all in a small gulf. The rooms in the hotel are very lovely, the beds are super comfy and the food at the restaurant is super delicious, best all inclusive i had till now, recommending this one to all.Also ita worth renting a car and visiting the beautiful island of crete

We stayed at Lyttos Beach Hotel as a family of four adults and one infant for 7 nights, and it was a wonderful experience. The food was superb, with a wide variety of options available at every meal. There are three main restaurants to choose from, plus one special restaurant available once per stay (one another was closed during our visit). The hotel offers several bars that serve both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages throughout the day. The complex also features a water park, a kids' playground, and a club for small children — perfect for families. The beach is right at the hotel and is well equipped with plenty of deckchairs and sun umbrellas. What truly sets this hotel apart is the exceptional service. From the animation team and chefs to the front desk staff, everyone was friendly, professional, and eager to help. We had an issue with our original room (1208), and the staff handled it with great care. We were first offered a villa at no extra cost, but declined as it was too far from the main facilities given we were traveling with a small child. Instead, we were given a different room and a fair compensation. A special thanks to Michalis from the front desk, who was incredibly helpful and understanding throughout our stay — and even welcomed us back almost like old friends when we unexpectedly returned due to a canceled flight caused by bad weather. Highly recommend this hotel for families looking for comfort, fun, and outstanding service.

What a fantastic resort! We chose a room with its own pool, and my husband emailed ahead to request one that was as private as possible, as I’ve been feeling self-conscious after losing my hair during chemo. They went above and beyond to accommodate us, and it was perfect. The room itself was spacious, modern, and spotless. The resort offers a great variety of restaurants and bars, plus the convenience of on-site car hire. The food was excellent, and the staff were unfailingly friendly and attentive. The waterpark was a brilliant bonus, and the hotel’s location right on the beach made it even more special. If I had to find one downside, it would be that the bars could use a few more staff, as queues sometimes got a bit long. But aside from that, this is by far the best resort I’ve ever stayed at.

This hotel is a must-visit! The location is ideal not close to any loud busy centres perfect for relaxation, the beach is a little rocky but still gorgeous. The room was absolutely beautiful with a great view but the best thing about the hotel is its staff! Everybody was helpful and always greeted us with a smile, especially the bar and reception staff! Beautiful hotel inside and out. Rooms are modern with blackout curtains, slippers, and robes, although aircon be colder. Food is plentiful, so much variety and quality. It is a shame there isn't one restaurant with table service opposed to buffet. Suggested improvements would be to serve beer in a pint glass and cocktails during the day at all bars not just one as it's a long way to keep walking to the 'pool bar' if you are at the beach or circle pool etc. These improvements would warrant a 5 star review

We had the best time at lyttos beach hotel! Everywhere you turned there was another beautiful pool, and the pool bars with all you can eat snacks were amazing. The buffet was delicious with so many options and the restaurants just as good. The rooms were great and the beds were really comfy and clean. Shout out to Amie og who helped with the teens club she made it so much more fun and truly unforgettable. The entertainment was great every night and the beach perfect for swimming. Can't wait to come back!

We stay in this hotel for our family vacation in August. For families this is definitely a recommendation. The pools are well maintained and very clean. The kids like the food, the drinks are good, the all inclusive plus drinks are very good. All the staff in the hotel is very much caring about everything to support you having a good experience in your holidays. The location is 5 meters directly next to the water, enough sun beds available all day, the beach is dark brown sandy with stones the first 2 meters -then sand only, ideal for little kids as the water is very shallow. Special thanks to the bar team - that people like Angelika and also the team from the beach bar, every drink is served with a smile.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Kiani Beach Resort. The location is perfect – directly at the beach with beautiful views and a very relaxing atmosphere. The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable, making us feel at home from the very first day. One of the highlights of our stay was definitely the amazing food quality. There was a huge variety every day with delicious Greek specialities as well as international options, always fresh and perfectly prepared. I would like to give a special thanks to Spiros and Executive Chef Nikos, who welcomed us so warmly and always treated us with friendliness and professionalism. Nikos manages the restaurant with great passion and care, ensuring everything runs smoothly. His presence and positive energy make every meal a special experience. The animation team also did a fantastic job, organising fun activities without being intrusive. The pool area and beach were always clean and well maintained, with enough sunbeds for everyone. We also appreciated the kids’ facilities, which were excellent and safe, making it a perfect destination for families. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ absolutely exceptional ! Top hotel! – Blue Sea Beach, Crete From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warmth and genuine hospitality that made us feel instantly at home. The welcome was nothing short of exceptional, setting the tone for what became one of our best travel experiences anywhere in the world. The location is breathtaking – steps from the beach, with the soft sound of the sea in the background, and perfectly placed for exploring Crete’s beauty. The atmosphere throughout the hotel is relaxed yet refined, with every detail thoughtfully curated to make guests feel special. A special mention must go to Dimitra, the General Manager, whose kindness, communication skills, and commitment to making our stay seamless were second to none. She not only supported us in every way possible but did so with such warmth and sincerity that she became a highlight of our trip in her own right. And then there’s Eva, the lunch pool chef – witty, funny, and a ray of sunshine every single day. Her food was fantastic, but it was her charm and sense of humor that made lunch by the pool a daily joy. She truly has a gift for making people smile. We travel extensively around the globe and consider ourselves well-regaled with experiences. This was our first visit to Crete, and without hesitation, Blue Sea Beach has earned a spot in our Top 3 stays worldwide. If you’re considering coming here – do it. It’s more than just a stay; it’s an experience that leaves you feeling lighter, happier, and already planning your return.

Some lovely points about the hotel, but a couple of things that make it feel more 4* than 5 in some areas. Positives: clean, very friendly staff, food is very good, lovely grounds and location is great. Areas that aren’t quite 5*: drinks, particularly the cocktails - very basic and are a bit hit or miss depending on who made them, but all quite basically made. Room service - no refill of refreshments/mini-bar in the room, 6pm finish for all inclusive - I’ve never experienced any 5* resort that had a cut off for the all inclusive on your pickup day, that’s not 5* standard at all. Pool - needs monitoring, should be a lovely relaxing pool, but is mainly kids climbing over the infinity pool edges (extremely dangerous) and jumping into the pool below. Not really a relaxing pool. Seems like it was designed for adults and relaxing, but is more like a play zone. Staff were all very friendly and welcoming, the location near the beach is also great. Overall a good hotel, but just needs a few bits sorting to make it feel like a true 5* which should be high standards in all areas.

Cleanliness was consistently maintained both in the room and throughout the entire property. The staff were friendly, attentive, and respectful, contributing greatly to the pleasant atmosphere. The pools were never overcrowded, and there was plenty of space for everyone to relax comfortably. The only drawback we encountered was the ongoing issue with sunbed reservations. Despite clear signage asking guests not to reserve sunbed with towels, many still did so early in the morning. As a result, it was sometimes difficult to find a free sunbed—even though many of them were left unused for hours. While it’s hard to suggest an ideal solution for this, it’s unfortunate that such behavior persists despite the hotel’s efforts. Overall, this is a fantastic hotel and we would gladly return :)

If I asked for something that was not included they tried to help. The food was great with everything and diversity. We was two families with kids and all was good. We booked this stay via Jet2 and this hotel was listed as Jet2 Vibe and a vibe it is! We were pleasantly surprised upon arrival at the beautiful interior, the attentive service by all members of staff and the various options for food. No two nights were the same! The spa and the facilities were great. The ladies at the spa were wonderful and helped us feel immediately relaxed at the start and end of our stay. So good we booked twice! The choice of pools were great, our favourite was the rooftop pool overlooking the sea without the need for sandy feet! Special thanks to Nada in the restaurant, service felt personal. The hotel even sent a birthday cake to our room to celebrate my husband's birthday, which was such a lovely and unexpected surprise. Right in the middle of a highstreet with lots of options for food and gifts. Private beach where you really can always get a sunbed! We have already recommended this hotel to everyone we know! My husband, 9 month old baby and I just returned from a wonderful 5 night stay at this hotel. We had the most incredible time! The hotel is beautifully designed, food is delicious, and all the staff are so welcoming and kind. Special shout out to Nada and the rest of the restaurant team for making us feel so at home and showing so much love towards our baby girl. They even helped prepare a special baby meal every night which made our lives easier. Thanks so much for making our first family holiday incredible 💛 we can’t wait to come back again.

I returned from my stay at this hotel yesterday, the hotel was absolutely beautiful it was clean and I couldn’t fault how it looked. The staff were amazing! I’d like to give a special mention to Maria who was part of the restaurant staff she made sure we had plenty of drinks and was always so friendly. We had a room with a private plunge pool with a sea view it was lovely however it gets really cold as the sun was only on it for an hour in the morning and then it was in the shade. There was plenty of lovely sunbeds around the hotel and on the private beach however was almost impossible to get one around the main pool unless you were there waiting at 7:30 until they opened at 9. Overall my stay at this hotel was amazing and I would recommend!

We really loved this hotel, it was extremely aesthetically pleasing and really did feel luxe. The front desk staff were all amazing, especially Dimitra - she had some great recommendations, she was super friendly and helpful! The shower rooms you could access once you’d checked out were a nice touch. We were disappointed for the price you pay that the "all inclusive" package isn’t truly all-inclusive. There were some drinks / bar snacks you had to pay for and everything all inclusive (including drinks!) ended at 12am which didn’t feel fair. It also felt like the bar staff would be really slow with drinks the later it got as though they didn’t want to serve you. On top of this check-out is at 11 am and after this, access to inclusive food and drinks is no longer available—even if you have a late departure. This feels like you’re being cheated out of a day of food/drinks. Generally the staff were all lovely however we found that after our all inclusive had ended the day we were leaving, many of the bar staffs attitudes had completely changed. No longer friendly and helpful, more like we were an annoyance which was really disappointing. Overall a great hotel, however I think they need to re-think their “all inclusive” in terms of including everything and also the time this ends each day - not everyone wants to finish their night at 12am. Maybe worth reminding bar staff that on the day of check out, everyone is still a paying customer and should be treated as such.

What a beautiful 10 days we just had at this hotel! Clean and pleasantly aesthetic hotel with the most gorgeous architecture! The location is amazing and is so close to everywhere you’ll want to go including all the best restaurants and bars walking distance. 2 minute walk from Med cafe on the beach which is also amazing!!! Food at hotel really wasn’t good at all and I was really disappointed in it for it supposedly being a 5 stars hotel, I have been to plenty 5 star hotels to say that Akasha beach hotel certainly isn’t a 5 star and I probably wouldn’t go back but i would go back to Crete but maybe just different hotel. The staff were okay nothing like out of this world with service they just sort of stand there even when you want a drink at night time they take the piss to come around and take orders they just stand about doing nothing which again isn’t 5 stars as you should feel it too. The pool wars is a bit ridiculous to be honest at the main pool i didn’t even get a chance to sit there but I didn’t really mind because the other pool on 3rd floor was amazing and the sun from up there was amazing and service can I add was amazing from the wonderful Thomas and I can’t quite remember her name but she was a smiley women that worked along side him at the bar! These are the sort of staff that need recognised for there amazing service and kindness!🥰 We got our room freshly cleaned daily which was amazing with fresh new towels and the cleaners were smiley and kind! The room is so clean and actually feels very homely which i loved! The only thing which was a bit annoying is the water pressure in the shower it wasn’t the best I thought it was just me but my boyfriend said the same so it was a bit of a struggle washing my hair especially having hair extensions. Also the air con the the room was so bad we were so hot all the time as it didn’t work properly I sound so moany😂i promise I had a good time but there was just some bits I think the hotel needs to work on if they want to stay stated as a ‘5 stars’ 🌟 as I personally wouldn’t say it’s worth the money and you could get someone 10x better for the price… Anyways thank you 🙏

Wonderful experience, would definitely come again, staff was lovely and welcoming. Food was lovely. My only downside was I struggled with heat as a Yorkshire woman, but that didn't change the experience. Rooms were lovely and cool, and definitely worth spending some extra for some excursions. Head down to the beach before sunset for a beautiful view, the local village is worth a short walk to, and there's always activities for children at the resort.

Just returned from an amazing vacation at Stella Palace Aqua Park Resort, and we had an absolutely wonderful time! The resort is beautiful, with modern, spotless rooms. The staff were incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to accommodate all our needs. We stayed in a family suite with direct access to a shared pool — a real highlight that truly elevated our experience. The food was delicious and varied, and as a family with someone who has celiac disease, we were especially impressed by the care and attention the staff gave to ensuring safe and tasty options. The water park was fantastic — fun for all ages and a major part of the enjoyment. We’re already looking forward to coming back on our next trip to Crete!

– we stayed in a room with direct access to the pool. The room was beautifully designed and very comfortable. It included a separate children's room with a private bathroom and shower, and a parents' room with its own separate bathroom and shower. The unit area also had a bar with free drinks – alcoholic beverages, iced coffee, soft drinks, and more. The room itself was cozy and stylish, and the staff everywhere provided excellent service – always kind and smiling. There’s a wide variety of food, drinks, and snacks available throughout the day, lots of activities, and of course – the water park is absolutely crazy (in the best way)!

We had the most unforgettable family vacation at Stella Palace and Stella Aquapark! Traveling with two kids and a baby can be challenging, but everything here was beyond perfect. I rarely leave bad reviews but this hotel was a huge letdown, especially for a 5-star hotel. Even though we had a beautiful sea view, a decent buffet, and really kind staff, that’s pretty much the only positive thing I can say. The housekeeping was terrible, slow, careless, and unclean. They took our towels and only brought them back a full day later. We found cockroaches in our grandma’s bathroom,we killed them and left them there, expecting housekeeping to clean it up but guess what? They didn’t. The cockroaches stayed there for almost two days. The overall cleanliness was unacceptable. Dirty trays sat in the hallway for hours, and our room never felt properly cleaned. For the price we paid, it was a huge disappointment.

We had a fantastic experience at this hotel , 10 days of relaxation and beautiful weather.The food was absolutely delicious, not a great selection at the buffet though but absolutely delicious , exceptional à la carte restaurants that offered top-quality dishes and attentive service — truly a highlight of our stay. The cozy bay provided a peaceful and scenic atmosphere, and the sea water was warm and inviting. The ladies at the beach bar were amazing, always smiling and ready to help.The swimming pools were clean and well-maintained, perfect for both relaxation and family fun. We also enjoyed the variety of water sports available and the convenience of boat rentals right on-site, making it easy to explore the beautiful surroundings. There was only one minor issue during our stay, but it was handled promptly and very professionally by the management — a clear reflection of their commitment to guest satisfaction. Overall, it was a memorable and relaxing vacation. Great value for money in a stunning location. For those who want more, put your hands in your pockets and pay more ; for the end of July in Greece & all inclusive the price was more than fair , haters will always hate. We would definitely love to return!

A big half of the staff were really nice and friendly there are some cool activities a quite nice buffet but honestly because of the house keeping i dont really think that this hotel should be a 5 star. We found a cockroach in my grandmas bathroom my little sister killed it and the house keepers left it there, and sometimes they would take away our towels and would put back used spoons in the shelf without even at least rinsing it. And there were lots of dust a bit everywhere

If you are expecting 5 star quality, you will be disappointed. The rooms could use a refurbishment, at least replace the mattresses with new ones. The uncomfortable bed greatly reduces a good holiday experience. The rooms were clean. I was satisfied with the quality of cleaning. The staff was nice. The choice of food was sufficient, the quality was good, I appreciated the very tasty desserts. The meat from the grill was tough. The absolute best experience was visiting the hotel's fish restaurant. The food was absolutely amazing. It was a short walk to the sea, the beach was clean.

We had an incredible stay at "out of the blue"! We booked a standard room, but were upgraded to a junior suite. That was unexpected but great. The staff was very professional and kind. The food was very good and varied. We also found plenty of vegetarian options. One small thing to note is that the pools aren't very deep. The water barely comes up to your waist. This is fine for lounging in the pool, but if you really want to swim you're probably better off going to the beach.

I have stayed here this week with my husband and our 19 year old daughter. We have been made to feel welcome by all of the staff, they are helpful and so friendly. The rooms are beautiful and spacious and fully equipped with and clean every day. The pool areas are clean with lots of bed and plenty of clean towels. The food has been delicious every morning dinner and evening. So many wonderful choices and fresh fruits always available. The entertainment in the evening has been brilliant. Would highly recommend this resort to anyone.

We had a lovely stay at the Seaside Resort and can definitely recommend the hotel – with a few reservations. The resort itself deserves special mention: it is modern, very well-maintained, and decorated with great attention to detail. The design is stylish and contributes to a truly relaxing holiday atmosphere. The quality of food and drinks was consistently excellent – both at the buffet, the bars, and the à la carte restaurants. We particularly appreciated the early breakfast option on the day of departure, which is not something every hotel offers. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful. There’s also a very talented vacation photographer on-site who takes beautiful photos. However, it’s worth noting that some guests found his poolside marketing during the day a bit intrusive. There were, however, a few aspects that we found disappointing: The cleanliness of the rooms left something to be desired – more care and attention would definitely be welcome here. The hotel’s in-house car rental service was also a negative experience: the staff member wasn’t very friendly, the pricing lacked transparency, and the two most affordable car categories were not available to us – or to other guests we spoke with – which made it feel like those were just bait offers. Access to the beach is possible, but one of the paths, especially the one passing the pool bar, is in poor condition and could be made safer. Unfortunately, many sunbeds were already reserved early in the morning – despite signs asking guests not to do so. The warning signs at the umbrellas stating that reserved beds would be cleared remained empty threats. During mealtimes, the staff was occasionally spread too thin, resulting in slow table clearing and long waits for drinks. As for the location: the hotel is a bit remote, which is something to be aware of beforehand. It’s perfect for those seeking peace and quiet, but if you want to explore the area, a rental car is definitely necessary. Conclusion: A beautiful resort with a lot of potential. If you’re willing to overlook some service and location-related issues, you’re likely to have a relaxing and enjoyable holiday here.

We came to Crete for our honeymoon and absolutely loved our stay at Seaside Crete. We are vegan and the food here was absolutely incredible. There are several restaurants you can book for a sit down and order meal – these were very good. The remaining meals we ate at the Veranda (main dining hall) and it was great. All food was clearly marked with allergens. There were many vegetarian, gluten-free and vegan options which were changed often. There are 2 pools with lots of seating and a poolside bar. We splurged and got a Casa Swim with a sea view. There were four rooms that looked out onto an infinity pool and had a chair for each room for seating. It was an awesome setup. There was no bar at our infinity pool so we spent a lot of time at the general pools, but it was great to spend the afternoon with the view.

Lots of romantic spots, stunning views, 10/10 service and the variety of food options was impressive. Would 100% come back to this resort in the future. We stayed four nights at Seaside A Lifestyle Resort and absolutely loved it. This adults-only, all-inclusive hotel delivered exactly what we needed—peace, relaxation, and great food. The property has two beautiful pools and lots of amenities, and we were especially glad for the no-kids policy. Major plus. The hotel itself is stunning. The views from nearly every angle—whether it was the mountains, the sea, or the sunset—were absolutely breathtaking. The architecture and design throughout the resort were modern, elegant, and so aesthetically pleasing. It just felt good to be there. Every corner of the property was well thought out and picture-worthy without feeling overdone. We stayed in a side sea view suite and were surprised by how spacious and comfortable it was—the photos really don’t do it justice. Plenty of room for two people, with a gorgeous sunset view from our balcony. The buffet exceeded expectations. This was not your typical all-inclusive experience. Everything was fresh, hot, and constantly replenished by chefs cooking right at the stations. Tons of options, including local dishes, and everything was super accommodating for different diets—we saw plenty of vegan and gluten-free selections. We never got bored of the food and always found something we genuinely wanted to eat for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The upper pool was our go-to since it was a bit quieter, but both pools had a relaxed vibe. If you’re looking for a change of scenery, it’s easy to walk down to the beach from the hotel path. There’s even an elevator that takes you down to the ground level so you can enjoy a dip in the sea. The drinks included with the stay were great—plenty of options and everything we tried was delicious. The staff was amazing across the board. Every question or request we had was met with kindness and helpfulness. One windy night, our bathing suit flew off the balcony and got stuck in the bushes two stories below, and the staff went out of their way to retrieve it for us. Just above-and-beyond service. There were also evening entertainment options (we caught a Ricky Martin-style cover band!), though we usually headed to bed early after long days in the sun. For anyone wanting to stay active, there’s a full sports complex with tennis courts, pickleball (we think!), and a beautiful yoga studio. We usually plan lots of excursions when visiting Greece, but this time we just wanted to relax—and Seaside totally delivered. Next time we’re in northern Crete, we’ll definitely stay here again.

Great Hotel exceptional service the main restaurant was one of the best I have been too for an all inclusive. No doggy stomach for the vacation. Selection preparation heat staff all top notch. If you wanted top shelf drink like Remy Martin Brandy there was an extra charge. But Jameson's and Johnny Walker was in the package. The Spa area is pure serenity. The room pool is more for a plunge at one meter deep. Their beach was amazing. The restaurant on the beach was great the staff took a little time to serve, but understandably considering the heat. All round Anemos was premium holiday.

Absolutely dream of.a resort. Location idyllic, variety and quality of food outstanding, service absolutely amazing. A special mention must go to the wonderful breakfast omelette chef, Maria, so lovely, friendly and talented too! Also the wonderful waiters, George and Stella at the buffet restaurant, so helpful and friendly. The guest service staff, all so friendly and helpful. Check in with Chrissalou ( sorry for spelling) was one of the most welcoming ever. 5 star all round! And our week has just started!

The hotel was beyond expectations. Easy check-in in, and the restaurant was still opened, although we have arrived at midnight. We got an amazing room close to reception/restaurants and beach and we enjoyed the electric car ride/buggy to the beach. You could find at any time sunchairs available at the beach ( peaceful place and protected area). The food was amazing and varied both in the main restaurant and a la carte restaurants. Nice playground area and friendly stuff. The train station to Lake Kournas was right at the front of the hotel.

This was our second time staying at this hotel — a return visit that speaks for how much we love it here. To our surprise, the front desk staff recognized that we were returning guests and kindly upgraded us to a Family Room with Shared Pool. Such a thoughtful gesture! I highly recommend this room type: the mattress is very comfortable, the bathroom is clean and well-maintained, and the shower has great water pressure. The best part? The pool is just steps away from the terrace — absolutely perfect for a relaxing holiday. The service throughout our stay was exceptional. Whether at the front desk, the bar, or housekeeping, every staff member was warm, polite, and professional. We truly had a wonderful experience and would definitely come back again. We are currently on day 6 of our 7-night stay at Gouves Water Park Holiday Resort and would happily rate it 4 stars so far. The rooms are clean, modern and well looked after, making it a comfortable base for the week. Staff have been consistently friendly and helpful, and the service around the resort has really added to the experience. The location is also great – Gouves itself is nice and quiet, but you’re only a short taxi or bus ride from Hersonissos which is well worth a visit. The centre there is beautiful with plenty of shops, restaurants and bars, and the Aquarium nearby has been a real highlight. Overall, a great family resort and we’d definitely consider coming back.

Incredible amount of swimming pools. An amazing time for kids. Loads of really good slides. And play areas. It's an inclusive resort . So you get Free ice cream. A really good place to have lunch where they have a small burger stall If you don't fancy going to the buffet. Not the best cocktails at a resort I've had. Are they weren't bad. The food is fine. Again, not as good as I had at other resorts but still very nice. A lot of selection. It looks like they're building an extension to the dining area and more rooms. Bedrooms were fine. Not very big but they did the job. You already slept in them really. Kids activities were good. Kids disco was great at the end or night. The entertainment was hitting or miss.

We had an exceptionally good time at Gouves Water Park and would like to thank all staff for making our stay so wonderful. This was our first family holiday for my 21 month old son and he really enjoyed himself which made my husband and I so happy. We spent the early mornings at the beach which is a 10 minute walk away. We rotated between the mini park, splash park, and small pool which gave my son variety and excitement. The adults tried the water park too which was fun. My son also enjoyed the children’s playground and mini disco. The hotel is maintained very well, with clean rooms and clean restaurant facilities. We thought the food was good as well, used the snack bars in the day and the buffet restaurant at night. I would highly recommend for families with small children as it’s the perfect size to navigate throughout the day and there is enough going on that you do not need to leave the hotel area.

This review is long overdue ! But it never felt all right not to leave a review still. We stayed there in 2021/2022. Our stay could not be more comfortable but this is due to the beverages manager whom have been amazingly accommodating my condition and this was not at my request as the hotel called us after our first night to check if we have had a good night sleep. I have then mentioned that due to my condition i was not able to enjoy dinner again due to my condition as i have a very limited options to eat. On the same day, the beverages manager arranged a meeting with the chef or the person responsible for supervision and us which resulted in having extra special meals added for the dinner menu to accommodate my condition. Although i was not complaining but still they took actions to ensure i enjoy the stay. This place knows how to keep customers happy and they mean business ! I thank everyone there starting with the beverages manager, hotel manager and all staff there. It was truly humbling to see them go out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. So thank you!

I visited friends there and went snorkelling of the beach. I was shocked at the devastation in the sea where they have built rooms on the sea bed and walls in the sea to support them. They have left hundreds of old cables and lights just metres from the rooms on the seabed and lots of debris. Probably the owners and managers never actually swim there and cannot see the damage they have done. You can see where they have built in the sea circled in red. Really horrific to see the abandoned building materials all over.

Great place for couples. Fabulous setting and amazing food. Drinks are a bit expensive but you can get your own from the local supermarket. Very popular with German guests. Probably 90% of the guests were German. Entertainment excellent apart from the DJ who mainly catered for the Germans and Germany is not renowned for its music! Only downside is the amount of smoking. Everyone seemed to be smoking everywhere. I am an ex smoker but this was a bit of surprise for a Luxury Resort and Spa.We booked a day trip to Knossos which is only 38 minutes away according to Google but with all the pick ups and drops offs, we spent nearly 4hrs on the coach. Highly recommend private transfer. We were in our hotel an hour after landing! And the room was ready. Also booked late check out until 6pm for an extra €60. Don't forget the tourist tax at €15 per day per room. We would definitely return though.

We stayed at the Ikaros resort for 5 nights with the All Inclusive deal. Our room was described by everyone upon check in as the best of the entire resort and it sure did not disappoint! If you are staying at this place, ask for room 747. The size of the room was huge plus the balcony was big enough for a party! And the view….. WOW!! The service here had an odd concept. The main pool bar closes at 3:30-4pm…. Then there is no drinks or snacks or even music so you are forced to walk across the entire resort to another bar! The towel service ends at 5pm meaning if you have just come back from a day trip and want to jump in the pool or beach for a cool down, the towel collection station is closed even though the pool is open until 10pm. We got the ‘All Inclusive’ deal but that was a scam…… it definitely is NOT All Inclusive! Only certain drinks were included. 5 restaurants but you only have access to a buffet. ‘Snacks’ throughout the day is like a kids menu serving nuggets and chips even though its an adults only resort. I must say however the staff there were super nice and friendly and welcoming, especially Nikos at reception and Wendy from the Spa! They are incredible employees!

A very lovely hotel, great location on the beach, with a nice sandy beach (clear and low water). The room was in fact a mini suite, cozy, very very clean, silent and fresh even when outside was hot. We enjoyed the great view from our terrace, the AC, the short way to the pool, to the main restaurant and to the beach. Very tasty food, great variety, friendly and carring personnel (the chef was very empathetic about my food allergy and offered personalized food❤️). It was a very pleasant vacation that we would repeat any time.

Firstly, the staff are so accommodating and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. The food in the main restaurant is of a high standard, with constant variation. The salad items are always fresh and crisp. The included wines and beers are palatable and always cold. There are several themed restaurants which are amazing. The bars have some great cocktails and the measures are just right. Obviously, you can ask for stronger drinks if required, but the standard measures are good. The hotel complex is on an incline, but the reception staff are quite keen to send a driver and electric buggy for guests with mobility issues. Overall, a good relaxing holiday. There are obviously things that could be improved upon, but you have to look hard for them. We plan on returning sometime in the future.

I recently stayed at the Mitsis Royal Mare and had a really enjoyable time. The service throughout the resort was consistently high, and the staff made a lasting impression with their warm, helpful attitude. They created a genuinely relaxed and welcoming environment that made the whole stay feel special. I’d especially like to thank Irini and Maria, who looked after us so well at the bar and restaurant. Their friendly manner, attention to detail and professionalism really stood out and added a lot to our experience. The food was another highlight. The buffet offered a wide range of fresh and tasty options, while the à la carte restaurants felt like more of a treat and added variety to the evenings. Every meal was nicely presented and of great quality, which we really appreciated. Cleanliness was clearly taken seriously too. Both the rooms and shared areas were spotless throughout our stay. One area that could use some improvement was the air conditioning. It didn’t feel strong enough in the rooms or common areas, which made things a bit uncomfortable during the hotter parts of the day. For a hotel of this standard in a warm climate, better cooling would be expected. That aside, we had an excellent stay. Mitsis Royal Mare is a place I’d happily return to and would recommend to anyone after a relaxing break with great food, friendly service and a clean, well-maintained setting. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 We visited Mitsis Selection Laguna in early April, just as the resort opened for the season—and it was absolutely wonderful. The spa was fabulous, the food offerings were generous and delicious (the beachside burgers were honestly the best I’ve ever had), and the staff were professional and welcoming. But what truly stole our hearts during our stay? The cats. Now, I understand that not everyone appreciates stray cats, but as a proud 'pawrent' of a rescue cat, I have a real soft spot for these gentle, curious companions. One cat in particular made a lasting impression on us. I named him Mitsi—a sweet black-and-white cat who could often be found lounging by the café near the swimming pool, the one serving mouth-watering crêpes and ice cream. Mitsi was always up for a head scratch and gratefully accepted the little treats I brought him each day. In return, he gave us affection, charm, and memories we’ll never forget. I genuinely believe there’s something special about incorporating these cats into the identity of the resort—after all, many guests love them. Why not make them part of the experience? Perhaps a few could wear Mitsis-branded collars to show they’re cared for and welcome. It might even be worth considering an optional donation as part of the booking process to support their wellbeing—something I, and I imagine many other guests, would be more than happy to contribute to. Please find attached a few photos and a video of sweet Mitsi—he truly added an extra star to our 5-star stay. I hope he's still there, bringing joy to other guests just like he did for us. We had a brilliant 3-night stay at Laguna at the end of our trip to Crete. The hotel is gorgeous and very well maintained. Food and drinks are excellent quality, and staff work really hard to please the guests. The barbecue and Greek music at the pool on Sunday was so much fun. The magic show with Rocco was also fun, my kids loved it. I tried the spa and Polina did a great relaxing massage. We also went to the Black Rose (pirate ship) trip and was fantastic. The beach is not a calm one and very rocky, so bear that in mind if the beach style is a deal breaker for you. Just a note on the rooms, yes, they are showing signs of use, however this didn’t impact our stay as our room was huge and very clean with an amazing bed. I wish they keep the same gorgeous decor/style when renovating in the future as it adds a lot of character. Highly recommended!

Check in was smooth and the receptionist were all polite, guest relations came to give us a full description of the resort since we had a privileged room, a beautiful villa with private pool and sunbeds. The food, loved the sushi and steak was wonderful, secret bar service, another privileged service our room had was a nice touch, we ordered tasty romantic breakfast that we all enjoyed the variety you options by the pool! The night time there was small events for all the family! Polite people, nice vibes! Highly recommend it!

Spa was nice, we tried some of a la cart restaurants and food in main restaurant was also good. Evening program is good and every night is different. Definitely good value for money. Bar very nice 🤓

We have just had a fantastic week at the Mitsis Rinela hotel. The hotel is situated on a blue flag beach which we thoroughly enjoyed. The pool area was great too, although the pool is 3 metres deep! The choice of restaurants and brunches were plentiful and had a wide variety of choice. The Pan Asian restaurant food was our favourite! Waiter service around the pool was good and Marina was brilliant! The ice cream, crepe, waffle, bbq, pizza stations were on offer throughout the day too! A sea view room is a must as the bay is stunning and you can see Dia island too! Spa was good for massages but not a lot else. Gym and yoga studio were located in a cool location and Zoe was welcoming and friendly. There is not a lot to do in walking distance in Kokkini Hani but you can book excursions. All staff were helpful and polite and this made our stay even better! Would highly recommend!

They gave a dinner coupon to their own another restaurant. It was worth the try. 5 course dinner was delicious. They have a nice bar. Snacks are always available. I'll start with what people normally end with: we'll be back! The hotel team are well versed with thoughtful and sincere customer service, it all felt natural. Nothing was ever inconvenient or too much. They made our daughter feel extra special too - thanks to Alex, Soula, and many many others. The food is generous and undeniably delicious, with more than enough variety. We normally don't opt for half board but we're glad we did. The pool was always at an incredibly inviting temperature and super clean. Fresh towels continuously available. Rooms also very clean; coffee and refreshments replenished ever day. The gym had all the essentials. The kids club had enough activities for younger children to have something to look forward to in addition to the swimming pool. Note that the other Grecotel with the water slides that's a 10 mins drive is accessible to hotel guests but you have to pay entry (at their discretionary). The beach is rocky so bring swimming shoes, and make sure you watch the stunning sunset every night. Lastly, there's bound to be entertainment noise coming from at least one direction in the evenings but shows normally ended between 10.30 to 11pm so you just have to bear it - or join in. Overall it was a magical break and we look forward to coming back like many other guests we met had made their return. Thank you

Overall, we had a very pleasant stay at Amirandes Grecotel in Crete. The hotel is beautifully designed, well-maintained, and has a luxurious yet relaxed atmosphere. One of the absolute highlights was the service – all the staff were incredibly kind, helpful, and professional throughout our stay. Housekeeping was also excellent for the most part, although when we first checked in, we did notice some issues like hairs on the toilet seat and stains on the curtains, which was unpleasant. However, after reporting it, things were quickly resolved. The rooms are stylish and generally very clean. The hotel is especially suitable for families with children – very family- and child-friendly. However, I wouldn’t recommend it as much for couples looking for romantic or lively evenings. There were no real evening entertainment programs except some light kids’ activities. Occasionally there was music, but it usually stopped around 22:20. One of the downsides for me was the food. While the quality was good, I found the variety quite limited and the buffet often repetitive. As a Muslim guest, it was also challenging at times – food wasn’t always labeled clearly, so I didn’t know what kind of meat I was eating. At breakfast, for example, there weren’t separate pans used for different types of food, which made things a bit difficult for dietary restrictions. These small details made a big difference to me and slightly affected my overall experience. Despite that, I would still recommend this hotel for families looking for a calm, relaxing environment. With some improvements in the dining experience – especially for guests with specific dietary needs – the hotel could truly reach an excellent level. Summary: A beautiful, peaceful family resort with top-notch service, though with room for improvement in food variety and inclusivity for dietary preferences

We have just returned from a truly amazing stay - so much so, tears were in our eyes as we left the resort. Our suite had a shared pool offering incredible views towards Spinalonga, as well as it's own terrace - complete with cosy furniture and lounging beanbags. Admittedly, we upgraded to Cool Living which was worth every penny - offering us a taste of something we'd never experienced before. Overall the staff were amazing, particularly in the Greco Levante Bar - for which we are extremely grateful. There were however some standout individuals, including Vagia (you can't go to bed until I finish), Kostas (guest relations and I'll get you a restaurant booking no matter what), Alexandros (what time is afternoon or evening) and Mary (the ultra efficient cocktail mixer). That said, two people went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable - they were Marina and Manolis Both were incredible, not only in service but personality - meaning we must return in 2026! Whilst the resort is located on a steep hillside, we found the daily climb invigorating and certainly a great way to work off our over indulgence's! In summary, we had a wonderful time and met with some amazing people. The pools, food and location were perfect for us, so thanks again for everything guys - you smashed it! Love Andy and Mark. xx

We truly enjoyed our stay here. Everything you do in Elounda feels even more satisfying with such an incredible view. The variety in the hotel’s restaurants and the delicious food made us very happy. Beyond that, the staff were genuinely helpful and attentive—special thanks to the always-smiling Dora and Valentina for their kindness. When we had an issue with our room, they responded quickly and offered us some special perks since it was our honeymoon, which we really appreciated. The only downside was that although all rooms technically have a view, some of them are more limited than others—even when you choose one of the best rooms. It would’ve been helpful to be more aware of this in advance. Still, the team was always supportive about changing rooms, so in the end, it turned out to be a lovely experience overall. :)

We chose this spot for our honeymoon but opted for the most basic room. Overall, I was very satisfied - the views are amazing. Anywhere you are in the hotel, you can see the sea. Even from the gym, which is very nicely equipped with newest Technogym machines. The staff is very friendly and very helpful on every occasion. Food was good - but honestly, for a 5 star hotel at this price range, I would prefer more options during lunch and dinner - after three days, I felt like the buffet was pretty much the same. Also, the snack bar could have more options - especially on the beach where all you could get in the fridge was pretty dry wrap with almost no filling. I would love to have some variety and some freshly looking and healthy food there. Also snack bar by the pool could have had more choices. But I felt really well during our stay and would go again.

The rooms are lovely and have been well thought out, beautifully designed and with stunning views of the sea and a great place to relax. This resort is paradise from the minute you walk in. The architecture is stunning and the rooms are lovely especially those with a seaview. The food at Topos is exceptional and very Cretan in style. I feel as if I'm at a beach club all week long, best experience. One pool is total quiet area, another one has chill vibes music all day long, you can even enjoy it sitting on very cushiony chairs. Staff is polite and attending. Food..delish and lots of variety. If I had to make 1 suggestion it would be to have movable umbrellas, but it is still great as is because the beach is not huge, but good size.

One suggestion for improvement: many sunbeds by the pool are "reserved" early in the morning, even when not in use, which takes away from the overall experience. Absolutely great stay at Fodele Beach in September 2024. We loved water park, variety of food and beautyful views. Ice cream in all inclusive were a nice plus. The service was polite and helpul. The only thing to improve in our opinion is the temperature of water in swimming pools - it was too cold when we were there in September. We were in a group of eight people and we come back this September 😃

A lovely place. It is on a mountainside with lots of steps. The waterpark is good for both young and old. The hotel pools are a mixed bag - the main pool turned several peoples’ hair and swimwear green, and some were unwell a short time after swimming in it. One major point is that many visitors “reserve” sun-beds around the pools with their pool towels before breakfast so other people don’t have a chance. Also, do not expect any signs directing you around the hotel, or bars and places to be clearly signed - the paper map that you get on arrival is expected to suffice, if you can workout what all the different colours and shading means. Also, apart from the mats at the entrances to the doors, there is absolutely no recognisable branding for the hotel anywhere, not in or above the sparse reception area, or anywhere else.

We came here for our mini moon. The resort is certainly beautiful. However, for the money, our room should’ve been more private. We could hear everything and everyone who passed by and our room was right on a corner everyone passed so it felt very exposed. The staff by the pool and beach was very capable. The concierge who greeted us was stalling as our room clearly wasn’t ready in time which was a bit annoying. The food was good, though half board felt a bit limiting as if you want to go out for dinner, the half board lunch isn’t great. The breakfast was amazing, one of the best we’ve seen. The beach area was so lovely and should be promoted more! One day there were so beds available so we just went to the pool which was nice as well. If you’re worried about children ruining your stay, we found the children were quiet and overall well behaved. You’ll notice them at the pool but not at the beach. Again, given this wasn’t an adults only hotel, you’ll notice them in your room since there is little privacy.

They went above and beyond to ensure we had the best honeymoon. The service was impeccable and the property is so beautiful and well kept. It literally feels like you are in a modern jungle surrounded by water. You truly do not want to miss out on this experience and I would highly recommend a stay here for anyone considering. Family-friendly, yes, but nowhere near a genuine 5-star experience. While the resort offers a decent setting for a holiday with children, the room service was consistently disappointing. When a hotel advertises itself as 5-star, expectations are naturally high and here, reality fell well short. The value for money is poor, and in my opinion, this is more of a 4-star hotel at best. Would I come back? Definitely not.

Went in late May and was a superb location for a family holiday. Lots to do in the resort and lots accessible by hire car around the island to explore. Food is perfect for a family, lots of choice and all very tasty. The place is well maintained and our room was excellent. We had a double with a split sofa bed for our two boys (7/11). Atmosphere is great, friendly and helpful staff, pools (all 5 of them!) are varied and never too busy.

Pilot Beach is a large holiday hotel resort with direct access to the beach. The pools are large and great for families. We had a very large room. The service is very friendly and professional. A good place for family holidays with kids. For my taste the restaurants are too big and the food okay, but not outstanding.

Do you want to have the best vacation of your life? Do you want to feel like royalty? Then elounda mare is for you. We went for our honeymoon, and six nights was not enough. The views, the staff, the food, it was all incredible. Our villa was so clean, cozy and homey. First off, you need to take advantage of the wine tasting. The sommelier is so knowledgeable and also so fun. We had an amazing afternoon tasting wines, after our super fun cooking class. We made authentic Greek food, mussaka, and it’s a dish and skill we will treasure forever. All of the restaurants are to die for, we had no issue going back for dinner a second or third night to a restaurant because there were so many things on the menu we wanted to try. What makes this place the best, was the staff. They made us feel like a part of the family. And if you are getting married anytime soon, there will be no one more excited to welcome you than Elounda Mare. They went above and beyond to make our stay incredible. It was a long trek to make, but we will be returning to Elounda Mare again and again.

A resort hotel that has managed to bag one of the best spots. Fantastic views over Mirabello Bay, lovely little sandy beach and rocky promontory with more than enough loungers to go round. Beautifully kept grounds. If you want space and beautifully kept grounds with flowers and peace this is perfect. The sea is so clear we able to see fish with just goggles. Some of our party were upgraded to a modern villa and its bathrooms and infinity pool would compete with anywhere. The others stayed in a bungalow that was perhaps a little outdated and could be redesigned to make better use of the views but you still enjoy all the facilities and that amazing setting. We didn't eat in the hotel apart from breakfast which was good although not the best of the holiday. We took advantage of the tavernas in Elounda and Agios Nickolas.

We had a great stay at Creta Maris Resort. The all inclusive setup makes it super relaxing – you don’t have to think about anything and can fully unwind. Most staff were friendly and helpful, except for one or two at Enomy Restaurant whose English made communication tricky, and the luggage staff who seemed a bit indifferent. Food-wise, I recommend booking the à la carte restaurants. Buffets offer variety but are average in quality. Enomy has more choices than Estia. We tried Alatsi – excellent service, amazing sea view, food slightly salty, but the crème brûlée was a highlight. Desserts overall are large and satisfying. Pool bar snacks weren’t great, but drinks and cocktails were excellent – perfect for sunny poolside moments. Our room had a partial sea view and the resort is beautiful, with lots of photo spots. There’s a private beach, plenty of pools, and activities you can book easily through their app. I suggest staying at least 3 days. With 4 or 5 nights, you can also explore the town. Overall, it’s not super luxury, but it’s a great fit for families and covers a wide range of needs. Recommended.

The parts that need to be improved. Hotel gym is well equipped, but it hosts local people as well which makes the weight room tight. Food - great but could be better and a wider variety. Off the charts. Bars and food areas located all over, big variety with great service. Open practically all day. Lots of activities for kids and adults. I'll sum it up - everything you need inside as the perfect all inclusive hotel.

I don’t often write reviews, but in the case of Creta Maris, it was simply impossible to resist - the hotel truly left a lasting impression. It’s a very beautiful and heartfelt place where you immediately feel a sense of comfort and relaxation. The service is of a high standard. The staff are polite, attentive, and always ready to help. We spent a week at the hotel and were absolutely satisfied with our stay. One of the highlights is the unique concept of the hotel, designed in the style of a traditional Greek village. Narrow alleys, white houses with blue accents, cozy courtyards, and picturesque corners create a special atmosphere that stays with you long after your trip. The food deserves special praise. In all the restaurants, the quality of both food and drinks was consistently high, with a good variety of dishes and attentive service. It was also nice to see that each restaurant had its own distinct style and character. Although the resort doesn’t have an overwhelming number of bars or beaches, there are still enough spaces to relax comfortably throughout the day. This is especially important for those who prefer a quieter atmosphere, as the hotel is quite popular among families with children. Still, it’s absolutely possible to find peaceful spots to enjoy your time. Overall, Creta Maris left us with only positive impressions. It’s a place we would love to return to. The warm atmosphere and quality service make staying here truly special.

We stayed for a week at this lovely resort. Service, location and food were all spot on and we could have definitely stayed longer. The villa we stayed in was perfect and we loved the chilled and laid back vibe where nothing was too much trouble. The kids club and babysitting services were great - although perhaps a little tailoring for slightly older children/pre teens to keep them a little more entertained would be a positive move (something other than football club). Special mention to Lily from guest services - she is a real asset to the team but all the staff we encountered were great. We definitely hope to return.

Super efficient. Everybody smiles and the hospitality is top notch. Every detail is well thought. Sweets and warm touches on letters on your room. Manager saying personally goodbye when leaving. Every worker is ready to save your day by solving any unexpected. You can say its familiar but they have adult areas all around (like the adult pool). Plus some adult experiences that are great (cocktails, wines, etc). What else you need? View? All around. Scenic views ideal for your social apps. On the weak side I could say they are working on the water temperature on some rooms and that wines are a bit overpriced. 11 over 10. Exceeds your expectations. I stayed 4 nights (I extended it from 3) and I would have stayed more. I will definitely come back when I have kids.

The hotel was So accommodating and the staff were beyond helpful. Particularly Demetris Who Went above and beyond to make Our holiday and comfortable and a special as possible. We also had delicious meals, particularly the buffet restaurant. We staff were able to recommend as the local cuisine and also the local wines. We have stayed with the family at Avra Imperial in May/June. It's a brand new facility: very nice building. Super clean: both communal areas and rooms were immaculate. Big swimming pools. The main pool with a bar at the center. Overall good service: excellent concierge advices and also the luggage handlers were super helpful. Front Desk could improve the sense of urgency. The are 3 restaurants: 1 Mediterranean 1 Italian and 1 Asian a la carte plus normal buffet for full board. Full boards are allowed to free 3 meals per week a la carte. Overall food was good with a combo of traditional and continental. However lunch seemed much lighter Good spa facilities as well: kids are allowed in the internal pool 10 to 12. We didn't like the sea side: Kolimbari doesn't offer the best beach in Crete. However inside the Hotel you can rent cars from a super nice gentleman and drive to different beaches. We drove to Elafonisi, Falassarna, Platnias and Agia Marina with Falassarna being the best at 35 min drive.

We are a family of 3 adults and 2 children with high expectations and Avra exceeded our expectations despite our doubts due to some slightly negative online reviews. We experienced the warm welcome from the minute we walked in from the porters and reception staff. The hotel foyer and complex was beautiful (very Instagram friendly), rooms were good size; pool and sea views were superb. The pools are amazing, clean and we took full advantage of the pool side bar/restaurant. The concierge and reception area staff were amazing especially when sorting a cake for my son’s birthday. We stayed half board and the buffet restaurant was so good that my family looked forward to the offering for breakfast and dinner. Our family have specific dietary requirement incl. vegetarian diet and nut allergies so the food labelling and staff help was much appreciated. We experienced the Italian, which was very good although we could not get a booking for the Asian restaurant so that may speak volumes! We highly recommend the spa where we booked for manicure, pedicure, facial and massage. The staff and service was amazing, better than spas in the UK and the wider spa facilities are complimentary. Agree Avra is not 5 5 star however very close and you need to appreciate local customer service and cultures - body language and customer service may not be as expected - this is Crete and it’s all about appreciating different cultures, customs and environments. We loved the location allowing us to visit the west of Crete by rental car away from the touristy Chania, which we visited and concluded not the best place to stay. In summary we really enjoyed our stay and the memories will stay with us for long time.

Wonderful staff and hotel. The pool is one of the greatest for families. The beach isn't really for kids and lacks enough sun chairs for everyone. The location is very bad if you come for shipping and dining in different restaurants but perfect for relaxing and sunbathing. The spa is a wonderful addition to the overall experience.

The breakfast buffet was one if the best I've ever had with a lot of choices also vegan and vegetarian options! During our stay we could go to the 3 a la carte restaurants for diner which was a treat as well! The gym was very spacious and everything you'd want was there! The spa was lovely. I would advise to just get the deluxe room as the main pool is nice and quite big. We stayed at this hotel at the end of April, at the beginning of the season, for a week. We loved our stay! The setting is magnificent and unique in Europe. We tried all the restaurants, and they were delicious, with some wonderful culinary discoveries. The staff is young and relaxed (which we like). A few tips: - When booking, request a west-facing room to enjoy the afternoon and evening sun. - Download the Stella App as early as possible and book your restaurants upon arrival. - The swim-up rooms allow you to have sunbeds to yourself. - The all-inclusive option is worth it if you're staying at the hotel all day, eating or enjoying cocktails. - The prices at the souvenir shop are competitive compared to shops on the beach and in town.

We stayed in the luxury swim up room for a week recently. The hotel was beautiful and one of the nicest hotels we have been to. Whilst we were there we had the choice of 6 different restaurants, all were amazing and included in the all inclusive package. The whole time we were there the food was so good and it's great that you have the choice of all the different cuisines there. What I will say is, even though we were all inclusive we weren't able to go to the same restaurant for dinner more than once as it wasn't included in the all inclusive package, so we did have to eat at the buffet for dinner 2 out of 7 nights (still lovely and so much choice on what to eat but would of preferred to go back to the restaurants instead). The staff were so helpful and attentive whilst we were there, they even come round to you at dinner and rung us half way through our stay to make sure we are happy with everything! There aren't many faults with this place, however with the swim up rooms I would say an improvement could be how you can order your drinks at the bar throughout the day. The staff tend to go round to the ones using the sunbeds to take drink orders, however no one really came over to the people on the swim up rooms to take their order. This was slightly inconvenient as there was no app you could order from the bar (even though they do have an app to use throughout your stay) so we'd have to walk round everytime we'd want a drink or swim over. Which I thought they'd have something in place for this, considering we paid more for the swim up room so we don't have to look for a sunbed each day. We would definitely come back to Stella Island as apart from this everything was perfect!

The Management and staff at Knossos Royal could not be more friendly or more accommodating. Our every wish was catered for and always with a smile. Food in the main dining room is always fresh and there is a great variety to choose from. The restaurants around the resort offer excellent alternatives to main dining and there is a good choice of very palatable wines. We always select a room with a smaller shared pool rather than the main pool but all pools are lovely with plenty of sunbeds. Rooms vary in size to suit your needs and are clean, spacious and very comfortable. I have only great things to report about Knossos Royal and we always look forward to returning year after year ❤️🌞🍹🍕🛏️

Recently came back from our Greek holiday this month and I'm glad and delighted that we stayed in this amazing and luxurious village-typed hotel. Overall experience from food to facilities in general was amazing. The sorrounding was very quiet that made it a perfect place to wind down. The Filipino staff in the hotel were kind and helpful especially their guest relation officer Elias who was fantastic on his dealings with the clients. Although, I heard that the hotel has got a new owner now and is planned to undergo further redevelopment this year? I am so excited what it turns into as the hotel is already perfect and beautiful to my liking. I would definitely come back to this same hotel in the future and see the changes!

We came to Daios Cove for our honeymoon and were absolutely blown away so much so that we extended our stay! If you’re a honeymooner looking for that perfect mix of luxury, relaxation, incredible facilities and service, this is the place. Everything about the resort is next level. The setting is stunning, the rooms are beautiful, and the service is flawless. Every staff member we met was kind, warm, and went above and beyond to make our stay special. The room service team, pool bar staff, and the teams at Ocean and Taverna restaurants were all amazing and the pool/beach attendants were just as friendly and helpful, always ready with a smile. The cocktails were seriously impressive, and the food was spot-on every time. Make sure you go for the all-inclusive option, you absolutely won’t regret it. For the price, the service could DEFINITELY be better. The place is absolutely beautiful with amazing views. We were upgraded to full board and to what was considered a suite, however, I wouldn’t have called it a suite. The only difference was that we got a private pool (not an infinity one) and some sun beds. We rejected the room and opted for the one we had booked originally, which was exactly the same, except it had an amazing infinity pool and a stunning view minus the sun beds. ‘Full board’ only included some restaurants, and lunch was only available at specific places. Also, it did not include any alcoholic drinks at all. The average cocktail was €15. The staff, although friendly, were rather inattentive. I have been to cheaper 4 star hotels and received better service, that’s for sure. We didn’t tip as we didn’t feel the service was great, but to our surprise upon checking out and paying the final bill, tips were automatically added. It was my first time there, but I wouldn’t be returning for these reasons. It’s really more about aesthetics with this place.

Fantastic place to go on vacation. The service is second to none. From the minute you arrive to the minute you leave you are looked after very well. We stayed in a one bedroom villa with a pool and had the residence club option which included food and drink. Food was excellent at all the restaurants. 24hr room service is also available and an unlimited mini bar. Great beach and pools.

Wonderful hotel! Great food, great views !!! great room, great service from genuinely nice local people! The water sports activities were brilliant to keep the kids occupied. We also played family tennis, paddle, pickleball and golf. Our meal at sumosan was very special - like an Ibiza esque experience. But equally we had some good taverna style food in Elouda town (Despina, Ferryman and lotus eaters). We chartered the blue yacht for half a day, and were treated like VIPs! The families around the pool were also all very polite, courteous and friendly - with parents in control of their kids. We brought a cricket bat and ball with us, and the kids met several new friends! All round wonderful experience, and would highly recommend!

Beautiful hotel with excellent views. We stayed in the Mykonos suite and it was absolutely gorgeous. Massive suite and their breakfast is amazing quality. Highly recommend for couples for their special days.
