This is my second time staying at this hotel and I’ve loved my stays so much. The staff are amazing and so friendly. I had a maintenance issue but they rectified it within 10 minutes which is great. The food was better than I expected and the drink selection was great too. The pools are a great and the location is ideal too. Yes the rooms are a little old fashion, but, they are exactly as advertised and are a great size with a balcony to relax on too. I will definitely be going back again and cannot wait.

Don't expect 5 star however, the rooms were clean and big. No Aircon but the rooms have a fan which was very wobbly and noisy in our room. The food was palatable and plenty of it. Pools were clean. Lots of steps and a steep hill descent to the town and bars so be prepared to get your steps up. It was cheap and cheerful and I had no real complaints. Get what you pay for.

We stayed 4 nights all-inclusive and overall enjoyed our stay. The apartment was spacious with a nice balcony and terrace, though some areas (like the kitchen) were a bit run down. Food was decent but limited for vegetarians. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Downsides: no water dispenser, and you must buy a cup for drinks (you get the money back), which aren’t always well cleaned. Despite this, we still had a good time and would recommend.

Blue Sea Callao Gardens – 2 Stars
We stayed at Blue Sea Callao Gardens and unfortunately found the experience quite underwhelming.
The all-inclusive package really isn’t worth it. Cocktails are not included, the juice machine wasn’t working, and only fizzy soft drinks were available as mixers. The food was consistently cold, even when freshly brought out, and the options were very limited. The salad bar consisted of just lettuce, onions, olives, cucumber, and a few sauces, with a small selection of ham, salami, cheese, one or two meats, and usually a potato dish.
The restaurant was also uncomfortable in the heat, with no air conditioning and only ceiling fans that made little difference. We were told we could not sit outside with our meals, even though it was cooler outdoors than inside. In addition, there was a staff member present during meal service who frequently asked guests to move or leave certain areas, even when the restaurant was full and those areas had plenty of available seats. This made dining feel unnecessarily stressful.
Rooms also had a number of issues. There was no air conditioning, and fans could only be rented for €30 per week. Towels required a €20 deposit each. Beds were very hard, and what was meant to be a double bed turned out to be two singles tied together with zip ties. The sofa bed, although slightly softer, was heavily worn and dirty. There was visible mold under the kitchen sink, and the bathroom was not well maintained – the toilet was loose and rocked underneath you, and the sink area was covered in ants.
The snack bar was extremely basic, offering only bread, meat, cheese, and a few plain biscuits. Entertainment was also very limited, consisting of bingo on most nights, with the only exception being a trio of singers on Saturday evening.
On the positive side, the pools were a good size and enjoyable, and the fresh fruit and vegetables provided were of good quality. Excursions offered through the hotel were worthwhile, though it’s worth checking prices online before booking, as online rates are often cheaper than those offered in person. The nearby supermarkets were also very convenient for buying your own food and drinks.
Overall, self-catering is probably the best option if you stay here. While there are a few positives, the overall experience left us disappointed, and we wouldn’t choose the all-inclusive package again.
Pros:
Large, enjoyable pools
Fresh fruit and vegetables
Good excursions available
Close to supermarkets for self-catering
Cons:
All-inclusive not worth it (cocktails not included, broken juice machine)
Food consistently cold with very limited choices
Restaurant uncomfortable, no AC, ceiling fans ineffective
No outdoor dining allowed with meals
Staff member during meal service regularly asking guests to move, adding stress
Rooms hot, fans extra cost (€30/week)
Towels require €20 deposit
Very hard beds; “double” bed was two singles tied with zip ties
Sofa bed dirty and worn
Mold under the kitchen sink
Toilet loose and unstable
Bathroom sink area covered in ants
Snack bar minimal
Entertainment poor (mostly bingo, one night of singers)
Excursions sometimes cheaper online than through hotel.

We did not expect much, but we're hoping for better. When we first arrived, the area looked great. The lobby was very nice and looked quite fancy, actually. The guy at the front desk was okay could be friendlier but overall okay. Major downside is that the wait for your rooms to be ready was actually ridiculous, but we managed to convince them to give us at least one of the rooms early. The food is mediocre at best. Most of the meat was dry and was basically the same thing every day. Cocktails were good, but they demanded cash for the cup, and if you didn't have it, then sorry you're not getting anything. One barman was particularly nasty about this rule for no good reason. There was no entertainment despite advertising otherwise, and the location itself is quite remote and quiet, with all the good spots being 10-20 min away by car for 1+ hours away by bus. Also, the cleaning was non existing they make your bed every other day and mopped the floor that hadn't even been swept. One day, we didn't even receive towels after they took the old ones away. Overall, don't expect much.
