We had a fantastic stay! The location couldn’t be better, right across from a gorgeous beach and within walking distance of everything, even without a car.
The facilities were great, especially the gym, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious with plenty of variety.
There were lots of fun activities every day, and Victor, the animator, really stood out. His energy, creativity, and constant good vibes made the experience unforgettable. The entire staff was so friendly and helpful. Thank you all!!!

This is a lovely hotel in Playa Blanca. It's right on the sea front and has great access to the town. Walk there along the coastal path. The hotel is of a good standard, although it's looking a little bit tired in some places. The buffet food was okay but I have had better in other hotels of similar ratings. Overall you won't go wrong with this place if you're looking for good location and a quality of service. Recommend you check out the spa which was wonderful. I had a preferred room and my children had a standard room. To be honest, there was very little difference between the rooms and was a little bit disappointed by that.

We stayed at Dreams Lanzarote Playa Dorada with the all-inclusive package, and overall, the experience was below what you'd expect from a 5-star hotel — I'd rate it closer to 4 stars tops.
Food & Drinks:
Cocktails were very good, and the à la carte restaurants truly stood out — every dish we had was top quality, and the service there was impeccable. However, the buffet was underwhelming: the selection was repetitive, with about 15 options repeated at both lunch and dinner daily. For a 5-star hotel, we expected more variety.
It’s also not clearly communicated which drink brands are included for standard all-inclusive guests and which are reserved for Preferred Club, which can cause some confusion. For example, Corona beer was included at some bars (like the lobby), but not at others (like the pool bar), which felt inconsistent.
Facilities & Amenities:
The hotel has four à la carte restaurants, and we were told two would be open each day. However, during the last two days of our stay, only one — the same one — was operating, which was disappointing.
Access to the spa costs an extra €37.50 per person per day, which feels odd considering the "all-inclusive" label — it’s definitely not all-inclusive in practice. Another downside is that although the hotel has three pools, only one is available to standard all-inclusive guests. The other two are reserved for “Preferred Club” guests, which requires an additional €60 per person per day. Sadly, this wasn’t clearly explained by our booking agency.
Building & Maintenance:
The building itself is nice, but certain maintenance issues brought down the overall experience. There was mould in the bathroom, which is simply not acceptable for a hotel of this category — I would expect a five-star hotel to refresh rooms annually. We also had a water leakage right outside our room on one day, and at one point, there was no electricity for half a day. I had left my devices to charge and returned to find no power — unfortunately, the hotel didn't offer any complimentary service or gesture of goodwill to make up for the inconvenience. Honestly, I’ve seen better service in 5-star hotels in Egypt and Tunisia, so I expected more from a resort in the Canary Islands.
There was plenty of free sunbeds at all times of the day, probably it was not a very busy period.
Service & Operations:
The staff were very friendly — especially the lady at the lobby bar in the evenings, who was always welcoming. The sports bar was also a great spot where they’d gladly put on whatever you wanted to watch.
However, the card system is poorly managed: you need to carry your key card everywhere, as there's no wristband for all-inclusive guests. Most of the time, card scanners don’t work properly, so you end up repeating your room number constantly to access restaurants or order at the bar — inefficient and frustrating.
Overall:
Nice location, and the potential is definitely there, but the hotel needs to significantly improve service consistency, communication, and maintenance to truly match the 5-star label.

I was a bit nervous for my trip having read some negative recent reviews, but everything was amazing. We stayed in a Preferred Club room with a pool view, B&B. Our room was spacious, clean and the view was beautiful . The breakfast buffet was great, plenty of choices and everything was super tasty. The pools were clean and with a pleasant temperature to cool down from the sun. Plenty of sun loungers and never had a problem to get a pool towel, although the hotel was quite busy. Cocktails from the pool bars were also superb. Just across the hotel is the beautiful Playa Dorada breach. It’s also walkable distance from the Marina. Staff were lovely and helpful. Can’t fault my stay here, loved everything.
