Me and my partner stayed here for 10 nights and loved it here! We plan on returning next year! The room we stayed in didn't have air con but we survived and the bed was two singles out together but it wasn't too bad. The views from our balcony were amazing though! We had all inclusive food and drink and it was so worth it, the food was well cooked and freshly topped up regularly. The drinks were all self service, including the alcohol!

went on a seven day all inclusive holiday with my parents, little brother and partner in August 2024 and I was one of the best holidays we have ever been on. This hotel was absolutely amazing. Before going I saw some not so great reviews and my experience proved them review wrong. The buffet was always fully stocked with all foods during the meal times and there were many options to choose for especially for my partner who is a very picky eater. Between meals you have a snack bar which is also set up buffet style. The view from both pools and rooms was absolutely beautiful. The bar was all self service when all inclusive so no need to wait in long lines when wanting a drink. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and were cleaned regularly, unless asked otherwise. The staff were very respectful when you didn’t want them to go into the room and still offered clean towels and to take the bins out for you. Overall our experience as a family was absolutely amazing and we will definitely be returning.

Our experience with Altamar was horrendous. We arrived 22:30 and were told there was no room for us due to construction. We were never informed about this before arrival. They put us in their sister hotel, where the breakfast was cold and the grapes were mouldy. We paid extra for a sea view, which the other hotel didn’t have. We had to spend hours trying to get back into the other hotel. When we finally got back, the air conditioning didn’t work, the hair dryer didn’t work, the TV didn’t work. We chose a self catering apartment, no washing up liquid or a sponge was provided. We were woken every morning between 7:30 and 8:00 with building work. Didn’t get a relaxed lie in once while we were away. The cleaners came around at 8:30 one morning, knocking on the window three times and peeping in the bedroom window - very inappropriate. We were never given anything to say ‘do not disturb’. Took 3 days to receive any sort of an apology, and at that we had to go looking for it. We were ‘compensated’ with free breakfast. Very poor customer service skills from the manager. Spoke to us badly and argued with everything we said. Save your well earned and go elsewhere, plenty more beautiful hotels on the island.

I went to this hotel with my family and it is one of the best places I have ever stayed it, the location is lovely and I love the way that the hotel is build as the views are lovely too. One of my favourite parts of the hotel are the balcony’s as they are massive and always gets sun. The entertainment is brilliant as they have stuff on for all ages which we all enjoyed. The food is good and it has wasn’t too busy. For us we managed to get a sun bed everyday which wasn’t a struggle, There is a lot of steps in this hotel but there is a lift for anyone who needs to use it, the lift can be busy but it wasn’t a problem for us. The Europa centre is only about a 5 minute walk from the hotel if you fancy going out for a meal which we did some nights and it was great as they have shops there aswell. Overall I would definitely go again and I would recommend this hotelto anyone considering going to Gran Canaria.

We've stayed here for a week and I can honestly say we've had a lovely time. Rooms are clean and towels changed every day apart from 2 days which we were told about. Bed linen was charged mid week, which was nice as it was so hot! No air conditioning but we had 2 good ceiling fans and they are midway installing air con. Food was average but a good choice each day for breakfast and dinner. All staff are pleasant and friendly especially the waiters, who were constantly tidying and making sure we were ok. All in all a pleasing stay! 😁 We were informed before our holiday that they were having building work done but we didn't hear anything and it didn't affect our stay at all.

Always return to this hotel when visiting Gran Canaria. The views are absolutely stunning, and for the price, it's everything you need. We stay self-catering, so we can not comment on the food. They could just do with switching the music up around the pool, some days they would play the same song 6 times over and sometimes twice in a row 😂 other than that, lovely hotel with the best views of Puerto Rico!

Booked all-inclusive for a week. It was clean and tidy. The staff were all great. The food was good, with a mix of kids basics and more adult meals. There were two pools, one a little quieter. It was close to two beaches. But walk down and get a taxi back because the hills are very steep.

Not great for small children poor entertainment. The one entertainment man tried his best. Sunbeds saved from 2am and not used round big pool which is ridiculous but lots of beds around quiet pool. Rooms lovely. Most staff great.

Colina Mar - birthday holiday! Everyone was ok. Hotel lovely slightly dated but what what we paid for. Food was good but eat out at times. All inclusive drinks were standard. Good holiday over all. I was surprised the hotel didn’t do anything for mine and my friends birthday even a little card or bottle wine. Weather was lovely. Location was good. Enjoyed the walks down to the marina and shops and taxi back defo didn’t walk back up that hill ha x

Nice clean rooms with beautiful views. Wouldn't come here if you have trouble walking. Food was average all inclusive but could of been a bit options. Entertainment on every night and some good bars with cheap beer (1.80 to 3€) just a little bit down the hill if not your taste.

2nd time here and wouldn’t stay anywhere else on the island. Staff are top notch. The rooms are spotless. Views & location are perfect with steps down directly down to the commercial centre right outside the complex. Will be back next September for sure!

Rooms are very clean and beautiful. New reception lady is not really helpful. Don’t leave your passport there overnight how they asking you as they running 24h reception. Down side is family rooms where next door people just behind the door and you can’t relax at all. Pool side bar is lovely.

It is your standard holiday apartments and Has everything you’d need. It’s extremely clean! Pool is nice. Lots and lots of steps up to hotel from main area so just keep this in mind! Would stay here again

Lovely clean light rooms with modern furnishings. Large TV with english channels. Comfortable beds with big pillows. Kitchen area fine. 2 rings, microwave, kettle, coffee maker, toaster, adequate utensils for self catering. Table and chairs in kitchen area. Lovely large balcony again with table and chairs. Didnt eat there so can't comment on food. As mentioned in a lot of reviews the 160 steps to main part are a killer but taxis 3.85 so I chose to walk down and get cab back up. Couple of mini shops few minutes away but most things down main part. Very noisy at night. If you close windows it drowns most of it out. Not much to do so a little disappointing in that way. Fair way to travel to get to any attractions. If your perfect holiday is laying on a sunbed all day every day and drinking until 4am every night you will love it lol. Nowadays I prefer a little more to do and see.

There are 167 steps from this complex to get down to the town. It's absolute murder. There are of course taxis but this information is not made clear when booking. The cacophony of noise from the town at night is appalling, windows must be kept closed and they charge for air conditioning. Never again!

Great place , really loved it ! The apartment was so well laid out, huge and with everything! A lovely terrace to enjoy the sun . The bed was so comfortable. Great bathroom, lots of towels ! We walked to the beach 20 mins , bars and restaurants and shops all within walking distance. Thank you for a wonderful visit , would recommend

Excellent hotel, very friendly staff, plenty of free parking spaces ( if not at the hotel then on the street), pool towels and overall very well cleaned. Handy exit at the back of the hotel with the shortcut to the beach - also many people saying it's too far from the beach but it is a 7min walk down and around 15min back up ( yes it's a stiff climb that might not be suitable for all)

Unexpected ,because always the advertising is different than reality so clean rooms ,staff very friendly, quaiet over night. Tight parking place, but not bad. Outside swimming pool:clean water and warm over night. Suitable for families with kids, Bit far from the beach(Amadores beach)but there is bus ,free of charge .I recommend rent a car not expensive for week(around 150£).From my point of view good experience for a quiet holiday. Useful location, a walk from the beach, and a walk from the local supermarket. We had a jacuzzi on our patio and air conditioning in the rooms. We enjoyed the pool each day. Parking at the top was cramped, with spaces too small for the parking skills of the drivers. There was a water leak during our stay from a communal hall ceiling and the staff were quickly on the case. Housekeeping was very kind to us.

Fairly small Holiday Club (Finnish owned) resort in Amadores (near Porto Rico) on Gran Canaria. Like many resorts in this area it is up a hill and really does need a car to get the most out of your holiday. This seems to be the poor sister resort as it does not have a 24 hour reception. We had to call someone from another resort to check us in. The facilities are okay, well stocked kitchen and laundry facilities. Pool is heated - very nice and welcoming. We did not have a spa on our balcony although it seems half the rooms do. Balcony is fine, 2 sunbeds and a table with 4 chairs. View of the sea is limited. Gym and Sauna seems to close at 19:00hrs (which seems a bit early to me) and bizarrely enough for a Finnish company there is a sign on the sauna saying appropriate swimwear must be worn - No Fin would ever say it was appropriate to wear swim wear in a sauna! There is fairly basic shop on site too with a pool snack bar which is very reasonably priced. There is also a courtesy bus to take you to the very busy Amadores beach a couple of times in the morning and afternoon. So it's OK, pretty good even, with a certain charm in its small size but let down by being a bit basic, a poor relation in the resort chain, in need of a bit of freshening up.

Hotel was really nice, fantastic views of the marina. Staff were lovely and accommodating. Rooms were well equipped and kept spotless with the cleaners. What made it for us was how genuine and lovely Cheryl, Jen and their staff was at the pool bar/restaurant. They were the nicest staff and couldn’t fault them. Very friendly and welcoming. Fantastic place to stay. The apartment itself was clean, modern and spacious. We loved having our own balcony with sun loungers. The pool was brilliant as well. No fighting for sun beds, the odd time you might not get one but oh well. Off out we go! Bar staff were outstanding, really welcoming and easy going. They were so helpful and filled the place with good vibes. Great entertainment evenings too.

I had a fantastic time staying at the Holiday Club Puerto Calma Gran Canaries.Its was situated looking out onto the marine in Puerto Rico. Hotel built into a volcano rock. Side by side living with lizards 🦎 which are protected . The restaurant had reasonably priced food and also had gluten-free bread for anyone that's on that diet. Staff were lovely at the hotel and the restaurant was very accommodating regarding food. Management and reception were fantastic and very helpful. Lots of activities to do in the Gran Canaries for everyone. Buses are cheap to go around the island. I would definitely recommend the resort and I will be going back to this resort. The only issue I had was that I needed more information on the arrival example about sunbed loungers and how to operate electrical items in the room.

As a frequent traveler, I can confidently say that a 4-star hotel should offer much more. While Holiday Club Puerto Calma has a great location and friendly staff, the overall experience doesn’t match the rating. The outdated rooms, subpar amenities, and poor-quality cocktails were disappointing. There’s plenty of room for improvement to meet 4-star standards.

Enjoyed my stay at Puerto Calma and despite being along on holiday, didn’t felt lonely and bored at this place. Good facilities and very nice staff and reasonable prices in the restaurant. Big + was the hills surrounding the pool. It did gave a nice feeling being surrounded by the hills. Also super clean and 1 min walk to supermarket.

Our second time staying at Babalu and must say it wasn't as good as the first time we stayed. Rooms are adequate enough but very tired looking. Bed and bedding was uncomfortable, pillows just felt like a pillow case stuffed with socks! No pool bar anymore so no snacks and drinks available. Plenty of music provided by other guests regardless of whether you wanted to hear it or not, we especially liked the drunk shouting along to songs provided by guests on a higher level and the 2 am door slamming and chair sliding provided by guests below us. But that's holiday budget hotels for you! Staff were lovely here very friendly and helpful and the domestic staff keep the rooms clean with fresh towels each day and beds made daily. Pool area is spotless and pools lovely. They don't open till about 10.30 most days but do stay open till gone 7. All in all we did enjoy out stay here I just think I'm getting less tolerant of other people's noise and lack of sleep in my old age!! 😆😆

just returned from a week in the apartments, there is a local shopping center full of bars & restaurants and a few shops opposite. however it is a far walk to the beach & the main location, you can get a taxi which costs around 4 euros. everyone reserves the sun beds by the pool area & no one is to be seen in the pool, spoke to the life guard about this & i was advised to speak to the reception however this is his job. he is in charge of the pool area & doesn't care at all. the rooms are standard, beds were horrendous, i paid extra to have a pool view however all the rooms are pool views with a balcony. the option was to go all inclusive however they never even had a bar. my apartment door was left open all morning & afternoon by the maids as they never shut it properly. would not be returning

Another year, another spell here! Cannot fault the place, good atmosphere, staff are very friendly and nothing is too big or small of a task, pool area clean and well looked after, food is nice, happy hours are superb, on-site laundry facilities, rooms are clean, powerful shower blocks, if anything to comment on is air-conditioning is only in front room but absolutely not a deal breaker! Big fan of Julio, happy to accommodate and practise your Spanish with, real top bloke 👌 €3-6 for a cab to commercial centre. What more could you want?

Love it here we have been 3 times in 18 months and have booked again to go back in September the staff are friendly and very helpful. My grandson had the best time ever.. and the staff were amazing with him. The only slight downside is the walk back up to the hotel as there is a steep bank back up to the reception. Shame that they don't have a key card to open the gates by the pool that would put you at ground level.. but the taxis are reasonable at €3.75 to get you back up the hill. The pool is amazing and the rooms are very clean.. lovely big shower and everything you need to make the perfect holiday 🙂☀️🌞

Just back from 12 nights at Revoli, fantastic stay, rooms very clean, we had everything we needed, even a hairdryer in bathroom. Iron and ironing board, and good kitchen facilities. We stayed in room 429, lovely view from the balcony. Staff were very friendly, from the lifeguard, bar staff, reception staff and housekeeping. My daughter had her birthday there and got a lovely bottle of wine left in the room. Around 10 minutes walk down to the beach and commercial centre, walked back up the hill a few times, otherwise taxi was 4 euros. We loved the pool and were in there almost every day. Would recommend this hotel and would stay there again if we come back to Puerto Rico!

This hotel is in a perfect location to beach and resturants. bars NO steps required to get there The rooms are spotless and nothing to pay extra for aircon,tv,kettle,airdryer, etc There are 80+ sunbeds and huge pool with entertainment what more can i say other than see you in 12 week

My partner and I stayed here for 10 days and our first time in Gran Canaria. I am so glad we stayed here and can’t wait to book again. The staff were so friendly and great there were adult only sections in the hotel. Good selection of cocktails included in the all inclusive, beer and other drinks. The food selection was good, something for everyone, if anything some of the food wasn’t the warmest but that can be expected at buffets. Rooms were clean and well maintained.

Wow, where do I even start. We stayed here for a week as a family with 3 kids and it was absolutely perfect. Impeccable service, clean and fresh always with the rooms and around the hotel, the staff are so organised and on point, they work very efficiently if you watch them and they go above and beyond to help you and are the kindest, most friendliest people. The food was unreal! Delicious and comforting with a huge selection, was truly impressed with the food quality and the drinks selection was great also in my opinion! We had the best time ever staying here and not to mention the breathtaking views from this hotel. You really can’t beat it. I’m so, so happy we stayed here and would 100% return, our best holiday yet.

Overall happy with the hotel but they miss a few things. It was nice, clean and modern. In the all inclusive option the food was good quality but a bit repetitive. Soft drinks, coffee, beer and wine were on tap but the cocktails were a bit too sweet for my liking. You have to pay €10 to hire towels but there are plenty of sunbeds. The pools are nice - especially the infinity pool but the downside is that there is no bar on that side of the hotel so you have to keep walking back and forth to get drinks from the pool bar (which is a bit of a distance). The staff are really attentive and friendly. The hotel is in-between 2 really nice beaches (literally 5 mins drive/€5). Its a real shame they don't have an onsite gift shop for those who won't venture out. The entertainment is hit and miss - don't get me wrong the team are fantastic and entertain kids brilliantly but so much more could be done in the evenings for adults as the shows run a bit flat. Overall it was a nice hotel and I would recommend if you're a family.

This hotel was one off the best we have ever stayed at. Everything is first class. So so clean!! We were very lucky that we upgraded to a pool room!! As Everything was booked. We had to pay a premium for this but worth every penny!! Even had our own outside shower. Dressing grown slippers. Pure luxury!! We are still here at the moment.

Really great family friendly hotel. Staff and Animation team really good. Food is varied and mostly good. Drinks are self service so didn't have to queue much, though self service machines did run out most days and took a while to be changed. Pools were excellent, lots of choice, good for children and adults only areas really luxurious. Local beaches both nice but a bit of a walk down a lot of steps so easier to get a taxi back. Rooms were very nice, though you are a bit reliant on the lifts (elevators) which can be quite busy, to get to the main area. Fortunately once there everything is quite central and a short walk between facilities such as pools, food areas, football pitch etc. Would definitely return.

The hotel overall has been fantastic. Every meal has been spot on with a massive array to choose from. Any interaction with staff has been a positive one. The pools are spotless and the view of the beach and ocean are spectacular. Drinks are self serve and surprisingly not as single drunken person has been seen. My only points to not are that the rooms are a bit dated and the hotel is situated and the top of a massive hill which will take around 20 minutes to scale to get to the beach but the is a shop just outside the hotel. Would still definitely recommend.

Really lovely place. Great location with views of the beach. Staff were brilliant in all areas, very attentive and friendly. Rooms were cleaned every day to a very high standard. The buffet food was fantastic, the best I've had as an all-inclusive option. Lots of options for all palates and the kitchen/waiting staff were great. Rooms were basic, but had everything we needed with a spacious balcony and loungers. Overall, we had a great holiday and would definitely return, something I never do!

Lovely hotel. We had a junior suite with so much room. Restaurant had great selection of food. Bar area small but never had to queue for drinks. Nice pool and kids play area with pool. Gym not massive but good selection of equipment. On a steep hill but has amazing views over the bay. Would definitely go back.

What an incredible hotel! The staff can’t do enough for you, the rooms are exceptionally clean and the food has a great variety every day and always fresh! Absolutely cannot fault anything about this hotel whatsoever. Staff were lovely, always smiling and so accommodating, food was absolutely incredible and was constantly being refilled by the chefs so there was plenty for everyone. I saw a comment about the female lifeguard being OTT, and I couldn't disagree more. She was friendly, she stopped anyone from being too rowdy in the pool so everyone could enjoy, and she actually enforced the 30 minutes unattended sun lounger policy, so you could actually get a lounger. Of course there were people who seemed to think she was there to babysit their children while they had a drink, but I think she handled all the situations as well as she could have! I was initially a bit disappointed by our room, but that was my own fault as I hadn't realised I was looking at one of the bigger rooms on the website, however the room was absolutely spotless, there was plenty of room for our clothing etc, the balcony was massive. Beds are comfortable, and there was an extra pillow in the wardrobe. In fairness, we didn't spend much time in the room throughout the day, it was spent outside sitting at the table or on the sun loungers outside our room when we weren't out for the day. Cleaning staff were friendly and efficient also. There are a few areas that could be modernised within the apartment, but all in all I couldn't fault it. The areas in and around the hotel are very well maintained and the view is picturesque. The beach is within walking distance, but the walk back is admittedly a killer. Self service unlimited drinks from 11am to 11pm, considering this we were very surprised that no-one seemed to take it too far while we were there. All in all a lovely hotel, great staff, amazing food and I loved the location. Close enough for walking distance to beach and shops etc, far enough away to keep the peace and quiet. Would definitely recommend, and would love to visit again someday.

We arrived late due to delays at the airport back home. We had a lovely welcome by the gentleman on the reception I think his name was Jan. He explained everything to us and we felt very satisfied with everything that he had said to us. We headed to our room which we had been upgraded to the ninth floor. When we opened the door we absolutely fell in love with the apartment it had everything we needed, it was spacious, clean and immediately we was very impressed. We had a coffee on the balcony then headed to bed, they must be the most comfortable beds we have slept in. In the morning we couldn't believe the views across the sea and the harbour. We loved listening to the different sounds whilst enjoying our coffees in the morning it was just beautiful. We had breakfast that morning and all of the staff was welcoming and happy there was a very good selection of food to choose from. We went as a family of six all adults, our children used the snack bar many times and was impressed with the quality and portions of the food they received. The swimming pool is perfect the views you get are amazing. I could go on and on about how lovely this hotel is and just to mention the cleaners are lovely too, many thanks for making this one of the best holidays we have had.

Really happy with our stay at the Marina suites. The hotel has an infinity pool and an adult area with jacuzzi for those who want to stay in a more quiet place. We used the gym which is quite small but you can find all the equipment you need. There is also a beauty and massage service. The breakfast is a bit pricey but options for lunch are really good in terms of quality/ price. I highly recommend the Marina suite for a quiet and relaxing holiday.

The Marina Suites in Puerto Rico were beyond our expectations. We couldn't believe how nice our room was with a great view of the marina and the sea from our balcony. The room was equipped with everything we needed and was clean and comfortable. Cleaners attended every day and did a thorough job of keeping the room clean and tidy. Service from all the staff was first class. Every member of staff were welcoming, polite and friendly. I believe the location of the Marina Suites is the best in the resort, being so close to the marina and the sea and being situated within easy reach of all attractions.

Last night at marina suites and really don't want it to end. Excellent suites, everything you could possibly need. Spotlessly clean in all areas, beds are super comfy and lovely pillows, Breakfast is fabulous, Pool area is good, but need to be early if you want a good spot, most beds are reserved by 8am.. Seating area on the rocks is lovely for a refreshing breeze.. Lunchtime at the pool bar serving Excellent food and a good choice of drinks. Overall highly recommend, Will definitely revisit...

Stayed at Marina suites for 2 weeks. Really nice apartments. Staff were lovely. The only downside was the breakfast couldn't justify the price . Very quiet hotel not much happening at night though which I found different to other places Ive stayed in Puerto Rico All in all would definitely recommend 😊

3 star apartments. The swim up room was clean but looked out onto a concrete wall. There are cockroaches, watch out! Food was good and receptionists very pleasant and efficient. A steep walk down to the beach & town; they lay on a coach I think 3 times daily- or we had a car which was great. Free parking out the front. Evenings are loud and focused around bingo, footy on TV and karaoke, we escaped into town to a nice beach club and watched the sunset- infinitely preferable but of course no all inclusive drink! It was worth it. But to each, his own.

We had a swim up room which was lovely and relaxing away from the main pool. There is no aircon but was cool enough not to hire. The location itself is well kept and scenic. Limited all inclusive cocktails. Food is average and often repetitive. Staff work very hard and should be commended. Were often inconsistent in drinks we had to pay for

How wrong I was , this place is fantastic, all the staff are fantastic the entertainment management Becky is brilliant at her job first class. The food is amazing the rooms brilliant. DON’T STAY IN APARTMENT 60! There were spiders in the room, water blockage, electrical loss, spiders in the shower, virus in the shower water and a weird smell in the apartment. I’ve stayed in 63, 46 and 5 and never had a problem.

NO AIRCON! When we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by a security man that checked us in and not a member of reception ,he took our passports as the staff had to check them which we were not very comfortable with. There were over 20 people that were checking in so I'm not sure why a member of reception didn't wait to check us in . We had to Carry our bags up a set of small steps (which was very difficult to find your footing)as there wasn't an elevator that went to our floor, when we got into our room it was nice and clean but there was no aircon so we went back downstairs to ask about the portable aircon unit and the security guard said we would have to ask in the morning as he couldn't do anything like that. We went back downstairs in the morning to ask about aircon as the room is just so hot at night it makes you feel sick, they said that it's €15 a night and 7 nights minimum so we couldn't get it now as we had slept one night which seemed very unfair, we got our passports back at the same time. We had no bowls in our room and had to go to reception to as for more and was told I had to go to the kitchen to get some which was the other side of the hotel. We also had a broken frying pan and had to go back to reception to get them to fix it (no phone in the room to call reception) the hotel was clean and tidy but definitely is a 3 star hotel.
