My wife, our 4-year-old son, and I spent our all-inclusive holiday here and, while there are some positive aspects, the overall experience did not meet the standards we would expect from a 5-star property.
The hotel is generally clean, the grounds are well maintained, and the food was very much to our taste. However, the rooms feel much closer to a 4-star standard, with budget-quality finishes, visible wear and tear, and poor maintenance repairs.
Around the pool, guests regularly reserve sunbeds with towels for long periods, reducing availability for everyone else. Guests arriving after the towel desk closes are also unable to obtain pool towels until the following day.
The restaurant service was probably the biggest disappointment. In a 5-star hotel, I would expect guests to be welcomed, helped to find a table, offered drinks, and generally made to feel looked after. Instead, there were several occasions when we sat down and waited for cutlery while staff walked past without acknowledging us. Sometimes we struggled to find a suitable table for three people and had to rearrange tables ourselves.
I also witnessed staff turning their backs on guests who were trying to ask questions, particularly around the dessert station. I understand that language barriers can exist, but simply turning away from a guest is never acceptable. The team working at the fish grill station, however, were always friendly, professional, and deserve recognition.
On one occasion, shortly before the end of lunch service, a supervisor appeared visibly frustrated that guests were still present. A few minutes later, the lights were switched off while people were still finishing their drinks, which left a poor impression. A more professional approach would have been to politely inform guests that service was ending and ask whether they needed anything else before closing.
Housekeeping was inconsistent throughout our stay. Despite repeated requests, the floors often remained dirty and we regularly found long dark hairs in the room, giving the impression that cleaning standards were not being properly monitored.
Communication between departments also appeared poor, with simple requests having to be repeated several times before any action was taken. The hotel advertises several restaurants, yet availability was extremely limited throughout our stay, making it difficult to experience the facilities being promoted.
On the positive side, the café staff worked extremely hard despite often appearing overwhelmed. In particular, the blonde gentleman and the young lady consistently provided excellent service.
I appreciate the hotel's mobile app and the effort to modernise the guest experience. However, it would be much more useful if guests could submit feedback, upload photos, and report unresolved issues directly through the app. This would help management identify problems more quickly and give guests confidence that their concerns are being taken seriously.
Evening entertainment was mixed depending on the day, although the staff member responsible for entertainment was always approachable, engaged with guests, and actively sought feedback.
Overall, this is not a bad hotel and there are some hardworking members of staff who genuinely care. Unfortunately, the experience is let down by inconsistent service, weak communication, housekeeping issues, and a lack of attention to detail. More visible management, clearer service standards, and better staff training would go a long way towards delivering the 5-star experience that the hotel advertises

Brilliant holiday – highly recommend!
We’ve just finished a fantastic stay at Iberostar Fuerteventura Palace and honestly couldn’t fault a thing.
Our swim-out room was a real highlight – spacious, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The housekeeping team did a great job, with the room kept spotless and serviced twice daily, which was a lovely touch.
The food throughout the hotel was excellent, with plenty of choice every day so you never get bored. The two à la carte restaurants were a great bonus and definitely worth trying during your stay.
What really sets this place apart is the staff. Every single person we came across was welcoming, attentive, and quick to help – especially when it came to drinks service!
Special mention to ALOU – absolute legend! Always smiling, great sense of humour, and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. Really appreciated him sorting the football for us too!
We’re leaving with nothing but positive memories and would happily return again in the future.

A lovely hotel. service excellent. Beautiful view of beach. Food/drinks good quality. We would definitely return. Loved the beach bag in the rooms for towels, a really clever idea. All staff are very friendly and hardworking.

We enjoyed a 7 day stay from the 18th April and would highly recommend this hotel and spa to anyone. It was just the 2 of us and all the amenities on offer were great. Our room which was had an ocean view was lovely and I can only say I am very impressed with the cleaning crews who daily spruced up our room- thank you. The food was really nice and definitely try the teppanyaki restaurant if you have the chance- a great show and lovely food.
Generally the whole place was really lovely and being all inclusive made our lives easy and very relaxing. Thank you to everyone who works there, they couldn’t do enough for you and they work very hard you can see that every day. The WiFi was really good throughout the building so that was great too!
We loved it and suggest you try it.

Beautiful hotel, great food, clean rooms and very nice staff - especially Nadia from reception and the girl who goes around the rooms in the late afternoon/early evening adding finishing touches before bedtime. The staff here have a hard job because we found that most of the other guests weren't very friendly by nature. They weren't aggressive or rude but they were very reserved. The only thing that let the hotel down for us was the lack of facilities for children. There was a children's pool but there wasn't anything in it - no slide or anything like that.
