This hotel was a lot nicer than expected. The rooms were very clean and apart from some things not working such as door handles😅 it was very good. Most of the guest were German and all of the staff spoke English or German. The bar was reasonably priced. The location is not ideal for a long stay unless you are to party but otherwise some nice walks nearby. The pool is in the shade most of the day which isn't ideal. Also there was not as much noise disturbance as some reviews point out. The buffet was a big surprise, for only 6 euros there is the choice of everything from warm to cold, fruits and vegetables, at least 4 pastries. On the two days I went the breakfast was slightly different and the food very good except the bacon which is my main critic of the breakfast 😂 otherwise really good. The view from the balcony is not great but for the price that is expected. We paid 44 euros for a night in a twin room

Pros: cheap, not that far from beach, efficient Air Condition in rooms. Cons: rude staff (not all, cleaning ladies and two young people from reception were very nice). Blocked drain pipes in a sink from day one. Reported, fixed, but not really, only improved for a day or so. Black mould- like smears on a wall, only getting worst during our stay. Wardrobe without door, main door lock barely working. Door handle loose. Lots of drunk people, but no trouble, just loud. Good choice of food and drink for a breakfast, but every day the same. Some rooms renovated, some very old. WiFi barely working. July / August 2023.

Honest experience review!!
I've booked this hotel for myself, my partener, my sister and her partener in June without doing much research, only going by the great price we got. Then a week and a half before flying I checked the google reviews of the hotel and it got me worried that it's a sh*t hotel. I'm not sure what expectations the people that wrote those reviews had from a 2 star hotel but I think they were expecting 5 star quality for pennies. The hotel is actually looking really nice, has a great area downstairs for sitting, staff were really nice and helpful at all times. The breakfast buffet was really good, great food, plenty of options to suit everyone and really tasty. Rooms are decent and clean, we also had someone coming to clean our room daily and give us clean towels. The bar had a few options for drinks at really low prices. There were some other guest who were being rude and not caring about anyone else but themselves but that is not the hotel's fault and the staff were still keeping a smile on their face and being nice. As location, it's 15 min walk to the beach, has plenty of shops and restaurants around with decent prices and good food.
Honestly, I would return here anytime and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a low budget option.

So. My wife and I have just returned from 5 nights here, and we loved it. It is basic, but not in a bad way.
Reception (I think) is staffed 24/7, and we were greeted by a very friendly lady who checked us in quickly and efficiently. We were told where our room was located (top floor, which I was very happy with), so into the lift we went.
The room was basic, but it was clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The ensuite was small (and the ensuite door in our room didn't like closing, but as it was only my wife and I this wasn't really an issue), but, once again, it was clean and had all we needed. The view from the balcony was okay, nothing too special, but we could just about see the sea and other apartments directly around the hotel. We didn't have an issue with noise from outside (but we were on the top floor, and as it was early October probably not the busiest time of year for Arenal) apart from a Cockerel that didn't half enjoy giving it the beans first thing.
Going down to the pool area and bar was a frequent trip. The pool itself isn't heated, but as the weather was high-20s to the low-30s, it was rather refreshing. The bar itself (main inside bar or serving window direct to the patio area) was simple but had all we needed, and at very good prices (pint of draught lager was €3, bottle of cider was €2, glass of white wine was about €3) and most glasses were kept in the freezer so that really helped.
The breakfast buffet was exceptional, with decent coffee, cold meats & cheeses, good hot selection, lots of artisan breads, and cold fruits, all of which had a slightly different selection each day. We both filled up each day to the point that lunch was not needed!!
Going out during the day or evening was simple (despite what other reviewers have said) with a less than 10 minute walk to the beach, and a cracking taverna (Jardin Terrero) about 5 minutes away. We never got lost when returning. Maybe it helps we both have good spacial awareness...
The only negative (and I'm being really picky here) is that this area of Mallorca is very German-centric, so the local eateries were mainly geared to pizza, pasta, burgers, with only a few having Spanish fayre (hence us returning to Jardin Terrero on 4 of the 5 nights we were there). Also, if evening meals were offered that would have been helpful. But, they may only do this at the height of the season, not October...
All in all, my wife and I couldn't fault the hotel, and we are planning on returning next July!! We can't wait...

loved my stay, only con is they put a dirty cup in bathroom and only one switch for both lamps in the room. also toilet door cannot be locked and wifi is slow.
other than that, love the breakfast buffet, hot chocolate and aircond in the room, it was nice
