Portinatx is the northernmost resort in Ibiza. It a small resort known for its natural beauty and its relaxed, child friendly atmosphere that makes it perfect for family holidays.
The landscape of Portinatx is made up of white sand beaches, hidden rocky coves and gentle hillsides dotted with scented pine trees. There is a true sense of nature on Portinatx holidays that has become rare to find these days.
The three beaches here are renowned throughout the Balearics and have their own unique characters:
S’Arenal Beach is the largest of the three and is shaped like a large horseshoe, forming an enclosed beach area that is very pleasing on the eye
S’Arenal Petit stays true to its name and can be seen a smaller, more secluded version of the main S’Arenal Beach nestled between a rocky outcrop.
Playa Porto Beach is a small cove sheltered by pine topped knolls, that gives a sense of a truly peaceful environment
Portinatx town is built around the gentle slope down to the bay, evoking childhood memories of trips to Cornwall but with the added benefit of a Mediterranean climate. The town contains a lot of small cafes and bars closer to the beach, serving all sorts of refreshments to beach goers.
Further out from the water are a variety of shops selling everything from local crafts to souvenirs and the holiday essentials that we all inevitably forget to pack.
The standard hotels here are low rise apartment blocks that are predominantly self-catering, meaning these shops are a very handy commodity for holidaymakers.
