I had no problems with my stay over Christmas here. The staff, food and rooms were absolutely spot on. Emanuel our bar steward was outstanding. I certainly put him through the paces with some amazing cocktail. The lad always has a smile on his face and is always very polite, a credit to your hotel. Thank you for a wonderful stay

Stayed at the AR Diamante Beach and it was a good holiday. It was not peak season so the activities for the kids were not on but Daniel, Rebecca and Claudia made it good for the children and myself. The excursions, the dancing / late evening dancing and the games were very good. Thank you to all that made our time great. We tried to overcome the language barrier and made some friends 😊

I needed somewhere to recouperate from serious illness during the winter. I'm so glad I chose the Esmeralda, because this hotel and its staff were definately medicinal. It had all the advantages and facilities of a large hotel, plus the friendliness and care of a small family-run hotel. Lots of fresh local fish in the buffet and several regional recipes to try, including Spanish desserts. Bedroom had a handy fridge-freezer, a big balcony with table and chairs, and the bed was very comfortable. The swimming pools (indoor and outdoor) jacuzzi, saunas and massage facilities were also very clean, there was full wheelchair access in and around the hotel (which was located right on the beach) and the elevators were large enough to easily fit a mobility scooter. And the wifi was strong and reliable everywhere I accessed it, even out on my balcony. There was A/C but I didn't use it. All the staff at Esmeralda were good to me. I was lucky enough to have Maria José as my housekeeping angel on floor 6, who gave me confidence every day in my efforts to learn Spanish, and who always made me smile. There was a really interesting array of international guests of all ages while I was there. I met two Belgian cycling teams, a Yorkshire choir, a Spanish choir, Czech mountaineers, French ornithologists, a Dutch family, a Scottish family, lots of people from Madrid and some weekend shoppers from Valencia. I felt so comfortable here that I decided to cancel my next hotel. I was able to get a tricky extension to my stay here thanks to the efforts of deputy manager Adrián, who also sorted out my luggage issues (there is no porter service at Esmeralda, so that too was greatly appreciated). This in particular demonstrated the kind of extra help and attention to detail that makes a person want to tell everyone to come to this hotel.

Really helpful with special dietary requirements-just mention it as you enter the dining room. Lovely staff and rooms. Pool and gym free but have to pay for sauna, etc. Fantastic location seconds from the sandy beach.

Probably OK for couples but rooms are small if you are here as a family. Sofa bed not comfy at all, sheets are the same size for double as single and thus too small for a double. There are only three chairs for a 4 people booking. It's out of season so most things are closed, including the second restaurant. Buffet is limited in size and selection but generally OK. Lots of rules to follow, you cannot take drinks to your room or away from where you got them, outdoor pool is not heated, indoor pool is restricted to lane swimming. Sadly the Jet2 website paints a much nicer picture than reality.

My only criticism is the lack of comfortable seating in the bar and lounge areas. There are a few sofas, but they are taken very quickly. The lighting is too bright in the bar area. No where comfortable to sit and enjoy a drink and have a conversation because the entertainment is in the main lobby, and it's loud. The restaurant furniture reminds me of a canteen environment, but the choice of food is very good. It's a great location and the staff are friendly and very efficient. Cyclists with bikes using the lifts cause a bit of congestion, although it's a fantastic area for the cyclists.

Its our second long stay here. The food is excellent and the staff are lovely and engaging. Service is great and the rooms are spotless. There is nothing not to like about this hotel.

My wife and I just returned from a five nights all inclusive stay. This was our second time at this hotel, the first time being in February this year. All I can say is that we were not disappointed. We returned after an amazing experience earlier this year and, even though the hotel was a lot busier this time, it did not disappoint. The biggest asset is the staff! Friendly, helpful and willing to put up with some idiot German Brit who is trying to speak Spanish... Well you all deserve a medal, not only for the service you are providing but also for being a group of patient Spanish teachers. I would like to specifically mention Angela, the bar lady, who is just true to her name. The restaurant: The food is exactly four star, not more and not less. In February the hotel was quiet, so timing wasn't a problem. This time it was busy and we found that by just waiting an hour, after the restaurant opened, we got the best of both worlds. Quieter and all the selections freshly presented. I know people moan about the "vegetarian labelling"-well, grow up. The food was tasty and varied, and this morning we got a packed breakfast because we had to leave early, much appreciated. The location: My wife has mobility issues and walking uphill is a struggle. Leave the hotel to the right and you are at a beautiful beach, leave to the left and you can walk around the lagoon or continue to the harbour or main beach. A taxi or bus also takes you to the old town, if you are not too good on foot. The rooms: We paid the upgrade and had a view of the Ifach mountain from the fifth floor. The room was clean and the mattress superb. The entertainment: I nearly weed myself when I saw the itinerary. Almost the same line up as in February and brilliant it was. If entertainers manage to gage the audience and make little adjustments then the evening is perfect. The overall verdict is five stars from us, for what it advertised as a four star hotel. We have stressful lives and go away to have a few days of no hassle and being looked after. RH Ifach delivered on all fronts, again. A big compliment to all the team.

We enjoyed our 11 night stay at this hotel. A good 4* standard our room was spacious & had a good sized balcony. We had a superior room & these are situated on the 4th & 5th floors. Th food was a decent standard for mass catering (buffet style meals) & a good choice for most tastes. We were half board so I cannot comment on the all inclusive tariff. Drinks were reasonably priced & a good Rioja was about 15 euros in the restaurant. The pool area was quiet as was to be expected in November but it was still warm enough to sunbathe. The only bit of constructive criticism would be a separate bar in the hotel in winter, as this is combined with reception & when busy was loud & echoed especially when the entertainment was on at night. All the staff were professional & friendly, especially the bar staff who were very good. The hotel is well situated for both of Calpe's beaches & both promenades are 5-10 minutes walk away. A hotel for return visits.

We had room 1502. The bed needs a new mattress, both my husband and myself had an awful night. Room very tired, ceiling and wall had a damp problem. No soap in the dispensers. Balcony huge crack above door and outside light no cover. Very tired room. Staff were lovely and breakfast amazing. Will not stay again as sleep is everything to us. We work hard to have a nice relaxing room break. I did leave a note in the room.

Great experience staying at AR Diamante Beach Hotel & Spa, 5 min walk from the beach and local amenities. Standard buffet selection. The spa was amazing! Treatment by Danielle was exactly what I needed - fantastic experience, and the spa facilities were great too! Definitely worth a visit.

Very friendly staff from the minute we arrived. We came for my mums birthday and the staff surprised her with a bottle of wine and chocolates, she was delighted Elena, Corina, Valeria, Cesar & Ivan always smiled and although busy (there was a salsa conference on and cycling groups) they were welcoming and provided a speedy service. The coffee, croissants and G&T were lovely from the bar. The hotel entertainment was very good and engaging too. We didn't get the names of the restaurant team but the staff including the chefs always acknowledged and spoke in English despite our attempt at poor Spanish. The food was amazing, fresh and plenty of selection. The hotel was busy but there were not massive queues. They remembered your drinks choices when you were seated. I would highly recommend and will come back again as we didn’t manage to go to the Spa which looks amazing too Thank you for a great and welcoming stay

Perfectly located in Calpe. Most friendly and helpful staff. Cycling friendly hotel that allows bike storage. Rooms have a spacious balcony and are clean. Evening entertainment over the weekend. The bar offers a wide variety of options at reasonable prices. The spa was a good experience. A great start location for all your bike trips

We had a great five day stay, it is quite a trek from the airport but well worth the effort. It looks impressive as you enter the lobby and was beautifully decorated. Staff on reception were very helpful, we were soon checked in and headed to our rooom. It was a good size room with a great view of the three pools and the sea. The beach is literally five minutes from the hotel and it has a great boardwalk. We went all inclusive and the food was excellent, never went hungry. There is also a spa downstairs but we did not have time to enjoy this facility. The only downside was the cold pools but this did not stop the boys from getting in. There is a bar next to the pools and again the staff were very friendly. All in all, this was a great hotel and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.

The hotel is really nice. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The spa is very good too. The staff at spa is also super helpful and nice. The massages are great. This hotel was a very good choice for our gateway. We all enjoy it a lot, including our 6 years old.

Excellent hotel. Our favorite in Alicante province so far. They are family friendly- children allowed in the spa for example. Speaking of the spa, I suggest you book the wellness package when you book your room as it’s cheaper, and you will enjoy the water circuit. Breakfast was good. Rooms amazing its terrace and sea view. I loved all the goodies in the room, bathrobes for everyone, not just the adults, free water and juice. Lots of nice little touches that contribute to making your stay lovely. All the staff are brilliant, friendly and kind. The problem is that you don’t want to leave, and your next hotel will not be as nice.

Very beautiful hotel with fantastic view. Superb breakfast with all you may want. Friendly personal. Disadvantages : -Too high costs -To be able to use a fridge, we paid 154 euro/per week extra. When you have a small baby the fridge is a must have. This costs should have been openly communicated prior booking. -Outside pools were closed. Oke the weather was not for swimming, but anyway it should have been communicated. -Inside pool cost 34 euro pp entrance to use once. At least few times usage should have been included in the price of the hotel as a gift, I think. -Evening animation was just once during our 1 week stay. -We went once for a dinner, paid 130 euro for 3 persons and was not happy about the meal temperature. Everything was cold: potatoes, meat, vegetables etc.

Good per total but is space for improvement. It's a little strange that "all inclusive" does not include ar least a bottle of water on the table. Spa is pretty expensive and does not really worth the value, small with only 2 saunas . You kind of feel that hotel tries to make more money from each guest, which is not really nice.

Absolutely fantastic place, 5 star rating. Staff are so welcoming and informative. Rooms are spotless, although we are on the 25th floor there are 5 lifts all automatically operated. It's our 1st night so an update will follow but for now WOW.

A fantastic adults only hotel in a great location. The attention to detail is amazing with free pool towels, slippers and water. I stayed half board. The food was very good. Staff were very friendly the pool area is great and you can just step out onto the promenade and beech. I didn’t have a seat view room but imagine they are spectacular! I would definitely recommend.

We have just come back from a wonderful stay and our first at Sol y mar and in Calpe. A very warm welcome and easy check in process with all the relevant information given. The rooms are spacious well appointed with huge comfortable beds, modern bathrooms and lots of storage space. The pillow spray and foot cream was a really nice touch. The staff are pleasant and helpful the restaurant excellent with great breakfast Choices. The pool area is beautiful and has 3 levels with lots of sunbeds and the pool bar excellent. Stunning views all around and within walking distance of bars and restaurants we will be booking again later in the year.thanks for the fabulous stay.

The best hotel I've ever been to, not only because it has nice views to the beach, but the room is clean and it came with free champagne and drinks! The service we reserved in every part of the hotel was outstanding, I do not have any bad comments. If you are or are not staying at this hotel, whenever you are in Calpe, I really suggest you take the chance and have the dinner and breakfast buffet. The price is 33€/person, drinks are not included. It's not expensive at all since the quality of the food is flawless.

This is the best hotel in Calpe. The staff are very helpful, breakfast is very good with a vast selection from toast to a full blown meal. The rooms are amazing and clean. The beach club has a bar, infinity pool, loungers and towels.
