Recently returned from a 6 day Easter break for my family (a timeshare exchange) to the Royal Sunset Beach Club, Costa Adeje, Tenerife. On the whole I’d have to say we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The resort is well located, close to the beach and surrounded by restaurants, bars and shops giving plenty of choice. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. The room itself was well appointed, clean and suited us very well. The pool area (and pool) is a decent size and, generally, very pleasant.
The only negative comment I’d make concerns the rules governing the use of the pool area. Not that they don’t have rules, it’s just that they aren’t enforced, at all. The main gripe is that there is supposedly a “use it or lose it” rule concerning sun beds. In reality there is a laughable, daily rush at 9am (or just before, when the pool area opens basically) with everyone rushing out to hog all the sun beds with their pool towels. The majority of these sun beds are then left unoccupied (save for the towels) for, sometimes, hours on end. At no time throughout the six days we were there did we actually see any towels etc removed. By the last couple of days we reluctantly decided that we had no choice but to participate in this ridiculous and selfish behaviour ourselves or simply accept that we had very little chance of finding enough free sun beds for the four of us together (or any in fact!), even in the furthest corners of the pool area.
As another example, the jacuzzi is supposedly for use by over 16s only and then for just 15 minutes at a time. On several occasions though it was occupied by boys and girls who, I’d suggest, were in their early to mid teens, on one occasion occupying the jacuzzi for a good ninety minutes solid. Not the worst thing in the world but just another example of how the “rules” aren’t really enforced for the pool area.
Anyway, moan over because as I’ve already said, the resort is actually very good and on the whole we had a great time and would recommend it to anyone looking for a lovely family break away. Just be prepared for that 9am dash for sun beds!

Brilliant hotel perfect for getting straight to the beach and many nearby bars and restaurants. Nice, well equipped rooms. Loved our visit so much we're returning again in December.

The reception is clean and welcoming
We had apartment 129 which is downstairs behind the jacuzzi. ( There is some noise from the apartment upstairs ).
The noise from the jacuzzi annoyed me however, its only when its finished a cycle and turns off that you realise how noisy it has been and, the pool and Jacuzzi is closed evenings and early mornings until 10ish so won't disturb you when you might be in bed.
The sun is on the sunbeds for this apartment from lunchtime for the rest of the day.
There is a walkway right in front of this apartment so people are passing throughout the day but, they are just passing.
The bed is comfortable, the aircon is effective.
It's very clean.
There are activities and entertainment planned daily.
I attended a jewellery making class that was just €12 . I created a necklace from recycled glass. It was an informative session and the "teacher" was enthusiastic , encouraging and friendly . I would do it again!
Wifi is good. You can connect until 4 devices.
The kitchen had everything that we needed.
There is " Happy Hour " between 5 & 6 at the poolside bar with reduces priced local drinks and some cocktails.
Pool towels are provided.
Saving sunbeds isn't tolerated.
They have done a lot of modernisation.
It's lovely .

We have been many times to this resort and really enjoy the pleasant and efficient staff, the excellent location to the sea front and restaurants. All rooms are fully equipped for self catering and the resort facilities of swimming pool and gym are well maintained.

This is the place you want to be when you really need amazing staff and exceptional service. We ate lunch on the seafront, later in the afternoon and evening my son and husband were not feeling well. In the early hours both were very unwell indeed, so unwell I needed medical help. Apart from hola and gracias my spanish is very limited. David on reception called an out of hours pharmacist and explained our issues and then ordered a taxi, the taxi driver helped me at the pharmacist and this morning thanks to their medication recommendation we have survived what might have been a trip to A&E. Bravo to this amazing team, what a bunch of life savers they are!
