We stayed at the hotel for 8 nights, the experience was okay, we luckily got a good offer on it but avoid the dinner at all costs. The first night we ate dinner at the hotel was a bit worrying, my partner and I eat just about everything so we tried a bit of everything but every single dish was cold. Not even lukewarm but cold cold. The next night we just went into Rhodes town for dinner just to get some hot dinner. We thought maybe as we went a little bit later at around 20:30hrs that was the issue so we decided on the 3rd night to go as soon as it opened. We arrived at 18:32 (opens 18:30) and again picked up a variety of dishes to test and again no luck just cold food that’s unpleasant to eat. The food itself had good flavour but eating anything cold is difficult for most. The food was brought out cold and left on some water steamer at a poor attempt to reheat, this was a hazard as fish and meat need proper reheating. We went to reception that night after dinner and spoke to a male who was quite helpful and said he’ll speak to the managers and see what they can do as we just wanted to cancel and go enjoy dinner elsewhere. The following day we went to reception in the evening and spoke to the female staff member who was rude from the start and kept asking why we wanted to speak to the manager, so we explained the issue and told her that the male staff member said he’d speak to the manager for the next day. The female staff member was rude and just refused to be helpful, we just requested to cancel dinner and we would go out for food like we did the night before but she just became avoidant and refused to be helpful. She then just said contact your travel agency about the dinner. It seemed like a huge waste to even get the dinner package so at all costs avoid dinner here. The room was decently furnished with some sign of wear. It seemed like the only thing the cleaners did was put the blanket over the bed and not even change the towels, we kept putting them on the floor so they would get changed but find the same towels hanging. The location is great, easy access to Rhodes town and kalithia springs. The bus stop is located right outside the hotel. The hotel itself was clean and the lunch by the pool was great and actually hot. The rest of the staff were lovely but shame about the reception team. The outdoor pool was nice with plenty of sun loungers, but around midday it would be full full so get down there early.

This hotel is advertised as a 4 star family resort hotel. We booked for 5 nights as a family of 4 ( 2 adults and 2 children ) end of April 2024. The price was attractive and based on public photos and reviews we booked in full confidence that we will have a lovely short vacation. First I will state the positives: - this is a large hotel in a beautiful setting along the coast and close to Rhodos town. - it has nice views of the see from most rooms on the seaside. - the outside looks well and the gardens and pool area are beautiful and nicely maintained - the staff is very friendly and helpful. You can see they want to make you feel welcomed However the positives of our experience end here. Our family room was not properly cleaned upon arrival. We found trash under 1 bed and shattered glass on the floor. Also upon looking in more detail it was obvious that the maintenance of the room was also heavily lacking: the whole bathroom area was worn out and outdated and, after the first impression regarding the trash, one can only wonder if the bed sheets were properly cleaned or if the towels were so. We complained at the reception and someone was sent to our room for cleaning. Even after that, there were still elements which were not properly cleaned anyway. The front office staff apologized and proposed some solution for upgrading the room on the first available date and also some gratuities over lunch, but after spending 2 nights we decided that we will leave. We felt that this hotels’ presentation is missleading as it shows pictures with nicely furnished rooms while the reality of the status of the facilities is different. Most amenities are worn-out and outdated ( especially the passageways, the elevators, the doors and the bathroom facilities ) and incapable of providing the comfort required by a 4 star accommodation. The level of noise throughout the hotel is very high and especially during late evening and early morning it is impossible to rest in the room because of constant noises from the hallways due to lack of soundproofing. One last word about the food. We were booked including half-board and we tried both the breakfast and the dinner service. Again, the staff was the only real positive. The food was bland for our taste with nothing special- just canteen quality all-around. All of the above might be ok for a 3 star hotel on a limited budget, but from our point of view it is really low value for money for a 4 star hotel, even though the price is lower than other 4 star hotels.

Honest review of Kresten Palace . I returned Yesterday 21/4/24 after a 7 night stay in a swim up room. Room was clean and tidy, signs of wear and tear as per usual in this typical type of hotel, that doesn't bother me . Bed was comfy . Lovely view on the balcony overlooking the pool . Being a swim up room it was lovely . Unfortunately the pools were absolutely freezing! That was the biggest let down of the holiday. But apart from this it was ok. The food was good at breakfast . Dinner was hit and miss . Always chips so always something to eat. Lunch at the hotel was nice see a pic. Burgers and chips 10 euros pizzas around 11 euros , pastas 10 euros . So with s drink roughly £20 for 2. The beach. No point in going its like sunbeds in a carpark. Dirty beach lots of litter. Not pleasant. The shop opposite the hotel is very expensive. Walk 5 mins down the hill and he's much cheaper . Location. Nothing is around this hotel !! It's between faliraki and Rhodes. Everyrhing is a bus journey away. The bus is 2.5 euros to Rhodes. Faliraki is dead this time of year. Rhodes was pleasant, old town behind the castle walls was much nicer than the modern Italian type shops in the newer part of town. Overall not a bad hotel . I'd reccomend maybe just doing bed and breakfast and then hiring a car . We hired a buggy and was awesome to see some sights . Overall a 3 star hotel

We had an amazing time at Kresten Palace! All The receptions staff are unbelievably welcoming and can not do enough for you. The room was spot on, the lovely cleaners take pride! A special thank you to George for carrying our bags and being so helpful. The entertain team were truly amazing! A big thank you to Kiko for getting us all involved and must also mention the rest of the entertainment team David Noemy Ronja for making our stay unforgettable. Ignore the previous reviews regarding the buffet food, the choice was vast with different specialties options each night and it was all so enjoyable, the waiting and cleaning staff always so eager to make sure you were happy and never stopped smiling. We can not wait to return. The food and staff at the pool bar and restaurant were also faultless. You can hire a car direct from the hotel by the lovely helpful assistant which we did to visit Lindos it cost around €50 for the full day, it was well worth it only a 40 min drive. I highly recommend the walk up to mountain and ruins definitely worth paying the entrance fee of €12 for the history and views! Taxis are also available directly opposite we used them a couple of times to go into Rhodes town it was extremely cheap around €11 each there and back. You must walk further along the harbour look for the red submarine Poseidon glass bottom boat, it was a great experience for €10 each. The skipper and staff were great helping my daughter who felt sea sick. There’s an audio highlighting the history surrounding which was really interesting and we got to feed and see so many beautiful fish. Taxi to Faliraki was €15, we ate at eat Greek falirari, it was amazing beware the portions are huge! There is also Kalami beach walking distance around 15 mins, you turn right from the palace and it is the road opp the chemist after the 3rd bus stop. I could go on a on!! Kallifea springs is also a must and not far to walk. Thank you very much to everyone we will see you all soon!! xx

the place itself is lovely to relax and chill out however when it comes to dinner buffet the food is almost the same every night and seems to get worse and worse if u don’t eat Greek food or a picky eater like me there’s not other options apart from pasta and chips and obviously if u stay for a long time u will start to get fed up with it. in my personal opinion if u are a picky eater I wouldn’t recommend the dinner buffet. the breakfast and lunch food are amazing I’m shocked how dinner could get so bad.
