A very good hotel, worth recommending and visiting again. I was there in January with my family and everything was great. The service was very nice and helpful. The room was ok, above average by Egyptian standards. Large space of the facility, beautiful beach and coral reef right next to the hotel. The seemingly long distance to the beach is not noticeable. A very well-kept center, every day you could walk along the alleys and meet positive gardeners. On the beach, no one rips you off as much as in other hotels. The food selection was average.

A good hotel, but not a 5-star hotel.
The hotel is dated.
The outside is beautiful (especially the greenery) and well-maintained.
The inside is old-fashioned and quite a lot of things (e.g. the sofas and chairs in the lobby, the shower and bathtub in the rooms, the pool umbrellas and the beach loungers) are well-used and in need of replacement.
Customer service is good. Staff is friendly and helpful. Everyone greets you with a smile.
You might be asked to submit feedback. All feedback is logged(!) Feedback is taken seriously. If you have a complaint or expressed dissatisfaction with a product or service, the manager will come down and have a chat with you.
Food is served as a buffet. There are plenty of options for breakfast and dinner. Lunch is limited. They also serve lunch at the pool and beach bar.
Breakfast includes a table full of Danish pastries. In my opinion, they all tasted the same. I thought they were all a bit dry. However, the local breakfast options (ful, feteer and falafel) were tasty. Dinner includes meat and fish. They are seasoned well, but they are kept warm and as a result they can be a little dry. Dinner also includes a table full of desserts and salad bar. Plenty of options and beautiful presentation.
In my opinion, the food is average and not as good as expected.
There is wifi in the lobby, at the pool and beach. The wifi in the lobby and at the pool is very slow and often did not work. The wifi at the beach is very good. Good enough for videocalls. Not sure if everyone had wifi in their rooms, I did and it worked very well.
The rooms are fine.
The walls between the rooms are quite thick. I never heard my nextdoor or upstairs neighbours. The bathroom needs a renovation. The shower-tub combination is ancient. And, it does not work very well. (It was not broken, just old.) The water pressure is not great and the shower does not get hot. (You do get warm water, but it does not get hotter than body temperature.)
There is a (free) shuttle service between the hotel and the beach. It runs every 20 min. It took me about 15 min to walk from my room to the beach. You are not allowed to swim at the hotel's beach. You have to walk about 10 min and swim at the public beach. If you like snorkeling, bring your own gear. There is plenty to see under water.
The gym is open in the morning and evening (and, closed in the afternoon). The gym is small, but has most of the essentials.
Suggestions for Hotel Management:
- Pizza at the pool and beach bar. It is such a good pool and beach snack. The same for (fried) chicken wings or tenders.
- Savoury snacks (like salty popcorn, peanuts, roasted chickpeas etc.) during happy hour.
- In the restaurant, the option to grab a clean set of cutlery or serviettes to wipe down the fork and knife you used for your previous course. (You are provided with enough cutlery for dinner, but you only get one set for breakfast and lunch.)
- In the bathrooms in the rooms, liquid handsoap instead of a soap bar. It would fit nicely next to the body lotion dispenser. (The soap bar leaves a sticky residue on your hands.)
- In the gym, there are no light weights (like 2 kg and 3 kg) for people who are new to working out or do HIIT workouts with lighter weights.
- Aim the outdoor lighting at the footpaths. The footpaths have surface cracks / potholes and you cannot see them in the dark.
- There are a few loose tiles at the main swimming pool. And, there are a couple of chairs in the lobby with a broken backrest.
- There are no times for the shuttle at the station. The sign says it runs every 20 min, but it does not say what time it starts and finishes. And, it would be useful to know if you have just missed the shuttle (and, have to wait 20 min for the next one) or it is arriving shortly.
- The evening performances in the lobby are very good. But, the artists are crammed into an unfortunate spot. They are next to the restaurant entrance and people keep walking or standing in front of them. And, it is hard to see them if you are sitting under the dome.

I've visited the Hilton, and somehow, I don't have anything special to say about this hotel—neither good nor bad. It's not my first time in Marsa Alam, and I chose this hotel because we had our first vacation in December.
Regarding the hotel: great, big rooms, but the territory is uncomfortable (though this applies to all big hotels). The food is tasteless—everything is there, but not tasty. It felt like the chef thought -'Let's throw in all the ingredients and hope for a flavor explosion.' The restaurant was reminiscent of a train station—well-organized for the task of feeding a lot of people, with the same atmosphere.
There were few children, and entertainment was limited to one pool. The beach is nice, albeit remote. Sunbeds were always readily available, both on the beach and by the pool. Regarding the weather in December—out of seven days, it rained once, two days were very windy, and two days were sunny. Snorkeling was a daily activity, but it was chilly going in and out. The reef was fantastic, and the water was clear until noon.
In summary, I would not choose this hotel during the peak season. If you prefer great food and a quiet, intimate atmosphere, there are better options. In winter, because of the gorgeous bay, I might consider going back again.

Hotel is amazing! Location, sea, territory, animation (especially grateful to Santa and Luisa), service (many thanks to guest managers Mahmoud and Carol), food - all that made this trip unforgettable! I would be happy to get back here! Strongly recommend.

The best thing about the hotel is the location. There is a coral reef on the hotel's own beach. The diving and marine vegetation are outstanding. Now come to the not so positive points. The front desk service is not good. You're almost afraid to ask anything there, the employees at the reception make you feel like you're not wanted. We didn't feel at home in the hotel, more like we were in a tourist trap. Fresh juice from the hotel provider, room service for an additional charge. At first glance, everything in terms of food looks like a lot, but if you take a closer look, the selection is rather small. Everything from low to moderate quality. Fanta-like drinks are offered as juice. Reservations in a la carte restaurants are only made on the same day, which means that very often you won't get a seat. If you couldn't make a reservation in the restaurants, you can of course still eat in the restaurant for a fee (the same as a German restaurant). Unfortunately, the hotel is designed to be unfriendly to tourists, so you have to spend money on everything (restaurants, drinks, room service, fresh juices from the hotel provider on the beach). The service staff in the restaurants are very helpful and friendly. I once saw someone who was angry and wanted to attack either his work colleague or a guest. The rooms were very large, nice and spacious. In summary, a fantastic location, beautiful beach and reef, hotel room 4 out of 5 points. Friendliness of all employees, except in the restaurants, rather moderate to uninterested - maximum 2 out of 5, all-inclusive also rather moderate, 3 out of 5, it was very quiet in the hotel (a big plus), beach 5 out of 5, quality of the food All restaurants 2 out of 5. The salespeople in the hotel were extremely pushy, we felt like we were in a tourist trap, you had to say no 3-5 times before you were left alone. What we also didn't like was the way we treated the guests, very unprofessional, we were treated like buddies, looked at and looked at as prey.
