Stayed here last week the hotel its self is nice with a nice clean bar/resturant. The hotel staff were helpful we arrived at a busy time and they seemed slightly stressed out. We were told our room won't be ready until around half 1 and 2pm so went for a few drinks on the beech front. Came back around 3 to be told the room still wasn't ready. Once we finally were able to check into our apartment we found it to be nice and spacious. The only negative I would say was after a long day of travelling we both wanted a shower only to find the shower tray to have loads of hair in it and trapped in the plug hole and was quite dirty. But other than that we enjoyed our stay. The pool area and bar is nice and serve not bad food and drink.

We’ve just arrived back from a weeks stay at the lomo Branco and it was okay. We stayed in a block B room on the ground level right outside the quieter pool which was great though it was in need of updating…
There was a nice wee patio area with seats and table that was kept clean. The one bed apartment was spacious. The kitchen was big enough with a decent sized small fridge& freezer, a microwave oven (which was a bit difficult to figure out) and 2 hob rings. The bedroom was big with comfortable bed, large wardrobe and a safe. The bathroom was again a decent size. A fan was provided in the apartment which was needed as some days it felt hotter in the apartment than outside due to not a lot of air flow in the room.
Our only real gripes about the place was the cleanliness of the room and the electricity. I know it’s a 3 star hotel and you’re not going to get all the bells and whistles which is absolutely fine, but I at least expect it to be clean… the shower was still covered in soap/shampoo from the last guest as it was all over the place and the grout was turning black due to the soap build up. I had brought some anti bacterial wipes with us and gave it a clean. The floors are laminate which is an easy clean but they weren’t cleaned during our stay and I’m not sure when they were last cleaned as looking at the edges at the doors, there defiantly was build up dirt and could do with a good scrub. It's just felt a bit grubby and forgotten about.
When checking in we were told that housekeeping was 5 days a week which is absolutely fine but we only had our room “cleaned” 3 times and I use cleaned loosely… the cleaning consisted of emptying the bin and making the beds.
The electrics is the apartment were a bit ropey. If you turned on the hob, it cut out all the electric in the apartment which just isn’t safe. We did report this to the reception on our check out as if you were doing self catering it would kinda defeat the purpose of not being able to use the kitchen hob!
The hotel facilities are okay, there are 2 pools with the bigger ones in block A having a wee kids pool attached to it. There is a pool bar serving sandwiches, pizza, ice cream, breakfasts, cocktails (€18 for 2 strawberry daiquiris) etc if you fancied something during the day and didn’t fancy to venture far.
The hotel is at the top of a big hill but there are a large set of stairs that’s lead down to the main strip (you come out at Linekers) so you’re there in about 5 minutes though if it was to rain, they would be really slippy and there is no handrail going down it. We tended to get a taxi back up at night which cost between €2.35 - €5 depending on how far along the strip you had gone. There is a spar a 5 minute walk from the hotel if needed and you don’t fancy venturing to the bigger shops.
Overall it’s a good base to stay but they really need to up their cleaning as I don’t really want to come on holiday and feel the need to clean because of how dirty the place was. Perhaps if you get a Room in the A block which has been refurbished it might’ve been cleaner...

Fabulous spacious apartment. Layout of garden/pool area very secluded and private. Beautifully kept grounds and apartments spotless. Friendly helpful staff. After six or seven visits to the island . probably the nicest place we have stayed. We'll be back!

Stayed here a while ago.
Lovely accommodation,
Breakfast was really good.
Like the pool set up and sunbeds positioned👍😎
It is away from the main strip, and a hilly walk up and down, which is great bit tiring, but Puerto De Carmen is set on a big hill for most of its accommodation.
