The hotel location is excellent. If you have a car, there is always parking available around the hotel. The rooms are clean, and the view from our room towards the pool and the sea was great. The breakfast was decent, although it could have had more variety overall it was good. However, what was very annoying for me was the room cleaning service. During our 5-day stay, they only cleaned the room twice. We were out of the room every day from 9 am, and when we returned at 3 pm, no one had come to clean the room yet, and I had to call someone twice on different days to clean the room. This issue alone was so frustrating for me that I might not return to this hotel again. But otherwise, everything else was good.

The room was really small. A quite good sized bathroom, but the bedroom was really tiny and didn't allow much movement around the bed. The terrace had a big size... but for what. Still it feels like you are sitting next to your neighbour while sitting on the terrace and have to be careful what you say. Careful with the wooden floor on the terrace, things seem to disappear quite easy. Probably it depends on the time of the year, but the service at the bar/restaurant was pretty much zero.

Myself and my wife stayed here for a week in mid Feb. We normally go to the Canary Islands or Madeira at this time of year, so the Costa was a new thing for us.
Overall, an excellent hotel and location. Went for the suite with sea view and jacuzzi. It was great value at £220/day for a kitchenette, lounge, bedroom, large bathroom, large balcony (with outside seating) and steps up to a sundeck with deck chairs, a large corner sofa, and a jacuzzi.
Breakfast was everything you’d want: a friendly “egg chef”, fruit, juices, pastries, hot breakfast, and cava if you want to start the day with fizz. Also, open until 11am if you want a late start.
Several comments say the hotel looks “tired”. Yes, some of the areas look a little worn but everything works. I wouldn’t let that put you off.
The hotel is a 15 walk along a boardwalk to the marina. A nice, flat, well lit walk into town for dinner (and a taxi back, it’s about €7). A nice surprise is the whole area is spotlessly clean and well maintained.
We hired a car from Malaga airport and parked for our first few days in the underground hotel car park (cost €25/day) but there’s plenty of safe, street parking so we ended up doing that in time. For day trips, Gibraltar and Ronda are both worth visiting and each is about an hour away on the (well maintained) motorway.
If I was to give any negatives it would be that the pool isn’t heated, and in Feb it’s like a cold plunge pool. However, having a jacuzzi to end the day made up for it.
I don’t know about the Summer but for a Feb escape it was a 10 out of 10, with temperatures around 19c.

The only good thing I can said about this hotel is a great location. The building is worn out and requires serious repairs. My room was very dirty, with broken furniture, moldy bathroom, dirty refrigerator, stained curtains, unwashed floors, the furniture on the balcony was also all dirty. It was all terrible and I wanted to get away from there as quickly as possible.

The hotel is well located, which made it easy for us to walk to the main tourist attractions. We stayed in one of the suites with a hot tub on the terrace and a fantastic view of the sea. The breakfast left nothing to be desired, it had several options. My disappointment during our stay was that the reception staff were very inattentive, and it also happened that one night after we had dinner in one of the hotel's restaurants, I ended up forgetting my bag on the table with valuable belongings inside and I only realized this on the day next, and when I went back to ask about the bag the employees kept throwing it at each other, I finally gave up on going after it. This left me very disappointed!
