The rooms are fine, though for some reason the pillows were only half size. Shower pressure was good. You'll hear everything going on outside as there's zero sound blocking.
For some reason the black out curtains don't have a track so it's not possible to close the blinds and get privacy. Only the sheer curtains close but you can completely see through them at night.
Restaurant downstairs was pretty good.

The hotel provided a satisfactory experience overall. This review aims to be candid and fair, not overly negative. The reception staff was consistently pleasant during our stay, contributing to our sense of safety and comfort. We enjoyed the pleasant pool view, and our room was conveniently located near parking. Our stay lasted three nights. However, on the day before our departure, we reported a clogged toilet and requested housekeeping, which was confirmed by the staff. Unfortunately, upon our return that night, neither issue had been addressed. Despite calling the front desk, the manager on duty offered to clean the room very late at night, which we declined. We did request that he inspect the room's condition, but he repeatedly declined. The next morning, when we spoke with the front desk manager, she was understanding and courteous, but indicated that it was up to the housekeeping manager. However, the conversation with the housekeeping manager was less pleasant, as he seemed confrontational and insisted that the room had been cleaned, ultimately ending the call with a brief apology. Despite our efforts to explain the persisting issues with dirty towels, trash, and lack of toilet paper, our concerns were dismissed. Unfortunately, this interaction significantly impacted our perception of the hotel due to the lack of satisfactory customer service from this individual. It's possible that this was an isolated incident.

This is a great value hotel. It isn't fancy, but it is clean, comfortable, and convenient to Universal - excellent value for the price. One can easily walk to the parks in less than 15 minutes or take the free shuttle. The shuttle can get crowded, but the Clarion is the first pick up spot, so there is plenty of room (reservations must be made in advance at the kiosk near the front desk.) There are several restaurants in the area within walking distance, and the Indian restaurant off the lobby is the real thing. Even the in-room coffee was good and I am very picky about coffee!
What really stands out is the excellence of the staff, from the front desk, to housekeeping, to the restaurant. Everyone had friendly smiles and was very helpful. Upon checkout, I left my Apple Watch on the night-stand's lower shelf. Upon discovering my mistake, I called and within 30 minutes they had called back saying housekeeping had found it. I sent them a return UPS label and they sent it within HOURS. I received the watch within a few days. This sort of integrity is rare and much appreciated.

Stayed here for a 4 day trip to Universal. Staff were fine. Maintenance was fast if you can track them down in person and ask rather than asking at the front desk. There were quite a few issues with my room. I had bed bugs when checking later on in my stay. The shower did not work past a specific temperature. The toilet stopped working by day 3. We found bugs in the bathroom on day 1 and 2. I don’t think it’s worth $100 a stay. Because of its outdoor hotel set up, there is a lot going on in the parking lot and you can hear ALL OF IT. If given the choice, I would not stay again.

While the location is close to everything the noise from Interstate 4 is inescapable. There is construction going on of huge apt community across the street.
You can see the road and construction from the pool area as well as hear the noise. There is no privacy fence. It is open.
The staff were extremely courteous and helpful.
The rooms although painted over are dark and outdated. No ceiling lights. There are no microwaves in the room but one down the hall. The shower did not warm up too hot and the beds were uncomfortable. We bought a shower mat for the tub because my friend slipped and it was dangerous. They had none. We also bought out own pillows.
According to Google maps, it is a 30 min walk to get into the park.
The rooms were cleaned well upon entering but would not stay again do to noise level and being outdated.
Again, props to the staff!! Very helpful and friendly.
